NO! Never run a comb through your hair when you're shampooing! That spreads the shampoo to your ends and causes your ends to become stripped and fragile. Shampoo only your scalp (for best results, use watered down shampoo) and then condition the rest. THEN comb it.
Its great that your saying Don't cut Your Hair! For some they don't know in most cases it can be saved! So I am offfering you a FREE TRIAL SIZE of an all natural edible conditioning treatment (not a relaxer or chemical) called HONEYSILK! it works like a relaxer and still allows you to maintain your natural texture & MORE!!
Actually, its perfectly fine to NOT wash your hair everyday. Why? Because if you do then you are taking away the natural oils the scalp produces causing your hair to become dry or perhaps fall out. I dont wash my hair until two days later, alot of people do it-you just dont ear about it. Anyways, you need to cut those split ends out and try using a heat protectant before straightening your hair. Oh and just get a small trim on the ends of your hair, nothing too dramatic.
Ughhh...ima guy but I really dont know if I have bad split ends or just a lil bit. I was in class and some person pointed out that I have split ends. In my honest opinion I thought it was no big of a deal.till some people said, that means you have dameged hair. I have emo hair just to say, and I started using this hair straightener and dont know was this the cause of it.
Nice video girlfriend! Natural oils are the best treatment for hair.A friend suggested argan oil so i bought an oil i liked the look of from amazon and the difference has been night and day.Not only has my hair grown but it has thickened so much i have stopped using it for the time being. It is also silky, soft and has an amazing shine. The oil i got was from london, england by mama nature called pureargan. It was not cheap but it lasts ages. Its also one of the rarest oils in the world.
@prettypink129 It works wonders girl, youll see, it even controls my baby hairs its like 10 bucks at sallys they have smaller ones that cost even less than that, trust me you wont want to use any other serum again for your hair.
well..i wish someone would have told me that i didn't have to chop my hair off a while ago..too late XD it's shoulder length now...but it's growing fastt :D TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR!
I do all of those things and my hair is super damaged, but I straighten my hair EVERYDAY sooo I guess that just beats the whole purpose. Lol. My hair is naturally very, very thick and curly and fucking nappy. I just like my hair straight...
Do you know that Christianity is correct? The world around us reveals that G-d DOES exist, and the historical evidence reveals that Jesus Christ really did come to this earth and there is overwhelming evidence that Jesus Christ really did physically rise from the dead. Jesus is coming again and the signs of the end times that were foretold in the Bible are coming to pass.
I did ion hot oil treament once a week the shampoo my hair with one n' only argan oil moisture repair shampoo then I put in the restorative mask for 10 mins then deep conditioned with Ion Effective Care Treatment for 5 mins and then i put in the one n 'only conditner for 3 mins after i did all that one time i had just a little damaged hair i still do that once a week and i only wash my hair once a week because i color my hair.
@t0xiicxkiis3s Well I just had my first haircut in a lonnng time! I cut off about 6 inches.......I don't heat style my hair very often (because I'm too lazy and cant be bothered lol) And I haven't dyed my hair in years just because i kinda gave up and just realised that I look better with dark hair! .......So I would say my hair is pretty healthy at the moment!
hiii thanks for ur tips.. i just severely fried my hair with bleach n its pretty damaged.. i did cut alot of it off :/ but i was wondering, if i just wash it with just water, and then use a conditioner or mask with proteins in it, is it better than washing it every 2 days? or just dont wet at all? thanks! xoxo :)
@humblebusker yeah that should be fine! The reason I dont like to wash my hair every day is because the shampoo drys it out badly! You could also try co-washing your hair which means you only wash your hair with conditioner not shampoo!
@javaromaa this videos more then a year old so let me go jump in my time machine so I can fix my eyeliner! NOT!! Also you should not use the word retarted because its very rude!
@KatyGoesMeow Don't worry some ppl do it just depends on your hair type. My hair is more on the dry side so the more I wash it the drier it gets! If your hair is more on the oily side it can handle being washed everyday.
@KatyGoesMeow true, that is SLS free it will ease the stress from shampooing everyay w/o stripping the hair shaft, and try co-washing your hair every other day instead. there's lots of videos on youtube for that. and eventually you will have to cut off the dead ends, so, best thing you can do is take care of the growth you have! you can check out some of my vids on @jemston0006.. alo try millcreek jojoba shampoo
@KatyGoesMeow i know it may be hard but try washing your hair every other day and your scalp will actually get used to that resulting in less greasy hair...i used to have the same problem and now i can go two days without a shower and my hair only greases up about 5-10%.. also when u use conditioner only use it from the hair that starts at about your ear and not the scalp
@KatyGoesMeow Hmm I know how you feel about the grease, but dry shampoo does seem to help me alot. How about baby powder or corn starch? Have you tried those? Try "de-greasing" your hair. It's going to feel disgusting but if it works for you it'll be worth your time. Go two days without washing your hair. On day 3, wash it. Then go three days without washing your hair. On day 4, wash it. Keep your bangs up or use a headband to help with the greasiness >.<
@aubreyx4 You seem a expert on hair so i thought i should ask you this. in the past few months i havent been paying any attention to how damaged my hair is becoming from all the blowdrying straightening etc, so now its become really dry and damaged. iv'e stopped all that now but it is still quite damaged. How would i get rid of the damage and dryness? Thank you :)
@MissHallyMe Well the best advice is to leave your hair alone so it can grow and the dry damaged parts of your hair can slowly dissapear into the scissors:) But other then that, oils work great for hair. Mix all kinds of oil (like Jasmine oil, Olive oil, Almond oil) together and apply this to your hair before showering and let it do it's work.
@MissHallyMe What you can do together with that is apply a hairmask after you applied the oils. Because of the oils u'll need less product because you can spread the product better through your hair. Even though products can't actually fix the hair, it can make it appear better and (depending on the product) prepare it for daily damage
@MissHallyMe Let it sit in your hair for at least 15 mins. Also as you already said; stay away from heatproducts. After the shower you can use a product for protection and styling. I personally use a product you have to apply at night, and in the morning my hair is soft. Maybe a tip: what I do when I don't feel like using heatproducts, I just put my hair in a bun and let it dry like that, and I always get loose curls that is still easy to style.
@MissHallyMe You can weekly apply a hairmask like egg yolk, or mayonaise (sounds gross iknow lol). Nutritional products like honey or avocado can also be added to a mask. Always read the back of a product, to see to what kind of hair it is targeted. If you have dry hair you don't want shampoo for oily hair of course :).
@MissHallyMe At the end of your shower you can turn the head all the way to cold and stand in it for 10-30 seconds (or untill your hair feels cold). This is not only good for your skin but also for the hair. As you can see haircare is a lot like skincare :) But in the end the key is always patience.
@MissHallyMe And keep visiting the hairdresser for a trim :) If you don't like your hairdresser because he/she is stubborn or just simply cuts too much off in your opinion; find another one (One that goes for quality not quantity). I can advice to find one that you personally like because you'll be able to talk more which in the end is a benefit for your hair.
@MissHallyMe When you find the right one that completely understands what you want you'll trust him with your hair, and after a while you won't even have to explain what you want. Sorry for the long answer!
why are people fucken assholes ? shes just trying to give advice that worked for her . you guys must have nothing better to do then bitch at other poples videos
I kno that ur feelings get hurt from what u perceive 2 b rude comments, but darling u need 2 understand that we don't kno u+we have no interest 2 attack u as a person, but ur costin ppl HARD EARNED $ ON PRODUCTS THAT WILL NOT WORK FOR THEM. Trust me, it feels worse when ppl or ads promise miracle products,u waste ur $, and it dsnt work.change the title+u will not find beef from ppl who feel much worse that u do when u get a rude comment. & if u dont like the comments, than don't look at them.
@Ceelu15 Umm These are not products that I cooked up in my kitchen! I'm not trying to sell anyone anything! All these products can be found at your local drugstore! Why tell me these products will not work! When they worked for me!! I will continue to read my comments because they are not all bad! Take your own advice If you don't like my video the DON'T watch it!
I'm a stylist trained in NYC. Ave hair grows 1/2" per month. Hair may split slower or faster depending on your texture, chems i.e bleach, relaxers, iron, hormones. U don't use heat or wash too often w/shamp, good. U may think products u promote work for u but maybe u have strong hair not needing cutting or higher quality products. Most products coat hair with silicone or strip with sulfate detergents which dry/damage hair. Prof know if u have split ends trim them or they will be a big problem.
This video has been giving me alot of drama lately! So I just want to clear a few things up. Obviously if you have serverely damaged hair the best thing would be to cut it! These tips I give in the video are for those ppl who have been trying to grow their hair out and the "cut it and it will grow" method did not work for them! For the record I'm not against all hairdressers lol! Its just were I live there are very few places to get a hair cut and I'm sorry to say they all kinda suck!
ok here is a very awkward one, i have oily damaged hair,,,,verry oily very dameged hair O-O i hade my hair permed""by so called profeccinals" against my will when i was young"6thgrade" and younger, i quit doing that, i have never dyed it and it was allways horrible, so last year i started straightning it,, it looks better staightend but i know its not good for it, i want to fixish it, with out it being cutt off, because most hairdressers are not to bright.
@aubreyx4 yess, the same heir dressers who fail every day with long hair, they looovvvee to chop chop chop, i love my long hair, i dont trust hair dressers they chop chop chop.
@unknownfallenangell Rofl I understand what you mean. Personally I don't let just anyone cut my hair:P Only my mom and a friend. They know that I'm attached to my hair so they don't dare to cut too much off it. xD All I can say is try to find the right hairdresser for you that understands. Even if he/she is a bit far away, it might be worth it. =]
this seems like a joke video. aubreyx4 may have come off a bit rude, but i feel like you're just reading the labels off the products that you bought. My mother and her friend are beauticians, and the verdict is to cut the hair, even if its only about an inch. personally, i would rather have shorter beautiful hair, than long crappy hair. your hair looks pretty tough, but others simply have hair that are too chemically processed, and the title of your video was just very false advertising.
@Ceelu15 I'm just sharing tips that worked for me. If you don't like my advice then don't take it! The reason I made this video was because I get a good number of msg from ppl asking how I got my hair long. I do wish ppl would just agree to disagree rather then leave me rude comments calling my video a joke! This video was free to watch. So what did you waste but a few mins of your time?
ok im no professional BUT i just wanna say this to calm the "paniced". its true that dead hair needs to be cut off, but even tho you cant really repair he hair you can make it better, like alot better or aleast till it grows out to were you can cut more off. i say this because my hair got to the point where when it was dry it was breaking off in pieces and when wet i could pull out chunks and now my hair is almost to its old self, cut off what you can and deep condition and use reconstructors.
@aubreyx4 there actually is new ingredients in some of the higer end shampoos that CAN mend split ends. I have hairdressers in my family also, so that doesnt really prove anything about your information. just saying.
@kywilliams082295 "... that CAN mend split ends." I can not judge if they can MEND it, because I have no experience with ALL high end shampoos, I have 1 high end shampoo that I use so can't judge for the others. And Maybe they can mend it. But it's still not a cure, it still doesn't repair it. Just mending it doesn't keep your hair healthy, it just makes it look healthy. The comments I have posted about this issue is about repairing split ends -> dead hair.
@aubreyx4 If you want to get technical all hair is "dead" and if your theory is true that oncce hair is damaged it cant be fixed then that means the second someone damages their hair they should just cut it all off, which no one does because that would be supid. :)
@kywilliams082295 Hair is not alive, that is true. But by 'dead hair' I mean split ends, as most people talk about split ends when referring to dead hair.
@xItsMartax Another one that can't read. It says "Also get a haircut every month (every 2 months if you want your hair to grow longer) to keep it healthy." The purpose of cutting your hair is to keep it healthy. If you want your hair to grow it's advisable not to cut it every month but every 2 months to still give it a chance to actually grow.
@xItsMartax I know hair grows from the roots. I'm not that stupid, thank you. If you actually read what I said I'm telling that cutting your hair is to keep away the split ends. Nothing more.
@xItsMartax You really think I'll get hyped about someone on the internet? Idk about you but thats the last thing I do. I just type, thats all. No emotion to it.
@Brunettebombshell85 I don't mean this offensive of course. The way I type can come over in a cold way, because I've just wrote too many essays I think. :P. But it's not my intention to offend you in any way.
@Brunettebombshell85 shampoo doesn't help anything. i recently quit using shampoo, and use baking soda mixed with water instead. shampoo has soo many harsh chemicals that just strips it of moisture, which leads to more split ends. there are some shampoos that don't have the harsh chemicals, but those are extremely expensive. i've been 'poo-free for almost a month and i'm amazed; my hair looks SO much healthier and has actually has more volume, too.
@Brunettebombshell85 No, it is not. This is my opinion, but how would a simple shampoo put back your split ends? Unless it has superglue in it, it's not possible. Repair Damaged Hair is something big companies tell you to get that money out of your wallet. I don't pay for my hair to get cut, so why would any hairdresser try to get me back for free? Hair is alive, it's a part of the human being. Bringing something back from death is impossible, same goes for DEAD hair = split ends.
@aubreyx4 I was talking about when you said you need to cut your hair every 2 months in order for it to grow! my hair is down to my waist and I haven't cut in over a year. Before I use to go to a hair dresser to get it cut every couple of months and and my hair would never grow past my shoulders! So I stopped listening to hairdressers. I still know I need to cut my hair every once in awhile in order to get rid of split ends but not every 2 months in order for it to grow!
@Brunettebombshell85 I didn't say you have to cut it for it to grow. I said to prevent dead ends and still let it grow in a healthy way cut it every 2 months instead of once a month. This will make your hair grow and still keep the split ends away. My hair is halfway my back, and I cut it every 2 months (free though, so it's a lot cheaper for me:P). It's just a way to keep the split ends away and yet let your hair grow.
@Brunettebombshell85 Also there are official scientific studies that prove damaged hair can not be fixed. It is a myth to sell products and to keep them rich. People that believe that a shampoo can fix dead hair would be better off preventing it then fighting it, because it's a lost battle. It is dead, and can not be saved. It can only be prevented.
@Brunettebombshell85 Funny how you don't quote the whole sentence. The sentence is: "Also get a haircut every month (every 2 months if you want your hair to grow longer) to keep it healthy."
Thats the quote and if you read carefully it says 'to keep it healthy'. Thats the purpose of cutting your hair: to keep it healthy.
basically my hair is really damaged, from dying it, its short with very weird curls, that do not look flattering on my length of hair, so i straighten it alot, i used to dye my hair crazy times, from black to blonde to black to blonde, now im leaving dyes out of my hair for a few years at least. how often would you say you straighten yours, like, lets say i wash my hair every other other day, three days, would that protectant keep it straight for that long? and does it stay straight in the cap?
@JuLiEnScUpCaKe I wash my hair every 2 days and as long as I don't get it wet it will stay straight. If will not be pin straight like right after I straighten it but its good enough for me. So your hair should stay pretty straight in the shower cap.
i'm a dude and my hair goes down a little passed my eyes (when it's wavy or straightened)...it's pretty curly and i always wear a hat or a beanie to cover it up. Does that damage my hair? I'm want to let my hair grow longer but it's at the stage where its..idk..to short..and to curly to look good i guess?
i was recomended the stregnth shampoo and conditioner by paul mitchell by my stylist, and i find it has worked amazing for fixing my hair, i have very curly tugy hair and i have straightened if four or five times a day since i was young and was very broke with this shampoo i didnt notice a difference right away but it gradually got better :D!
so theres always ways to help make hair stronger and to prevent hair from getting damaged. but once the hair is Broken (split or flared like a broom) the ONLY solution is to cut it. you cant mend back together hair that is split, no product does that. BUT you can help PREVENT damage with products to make hair stronger, moisturized and healthier.
sometimes shampoos claim to repair hair but usually all they are doing is filling in the shaft. which gives the appearance of healthy hair. remember hair is dead...so you can't really fix it.
@ThatGirlLilly These are just tips that helped me out cuz when I was younger my hair was unhealthy....after I started using these tips my hair got better!

NO! Never run a comb through your hair when you're shampooing! That spreads the shampoo to your ends and causes your ends to become stripped and fragile. Shampoo only your scalp (for best results, use watered down shampoo) and then condition the rest. THEN comb it.

@KatyGoesMeow true, that is SLS free it will ease the stress from shampooing everyay w/o stripping the hair shaft, and try co-washing your hair every other day instead. there's lots of videos on youtube for that. and eventually you will have to cut off the dead ends, so, best thing you can do is take care of the growth you have! you can check out some of my vids on @jemston0006.. alo try millcreek jojoba shampoo
jemstone0006 3 months ago
@KatyGoesMeow i know it may be hard but try washing your hair every other day and your scalp will actually get used to that resulting in less greasy hair...i used to have the same problem and now i can go two days without a shower and my hair only greases up about 5-10%.. also when u use conditioner only use it from the hair that starts at about your ear and not the scalp
ericita 2 months ago
@KatyGoesMeow Hmm I know how you feel about the grease, but dry shampoo does seem to help me alot. How about baby powder or corn starch? Have you tried those? Try "de-greasing" your hair. It's going to feel disgusting but if it works for you it'll be worth your time. Go two days without washing your hair. On day 3, wash it. Then go three days without washing your hair. On day 4, wash it. Keep your bangs up or use a headband to help with the greasiness >.<

@KatyGoesMeow thats because youve made it used to washing it all the time so it produces the oils more often than it should

MissHallyMe 8 months ago
@MissHallyMe Well the best advice is to leave your hair alone so it can grow and the dry damaged parts of your hair can slowly dissapear into the scissors:) But other then that, oils work great for hair. Mix all kinds of oil (like Jasmine oil, Olive oil, Almond oil) together and apply this to your hair before showering and let it do it's work.
aubreyx4 8 months ago
@aubreyx4 Thanks! :)
MissHallyMe 8 months ago
@aubreyx4 Wow Okay< thanks so much
MissHallyMe 8 months ago
@MissHallyMe What you can do together with that is apply a hairmask after you applied the oils. Because of the oils u'll need less product because you can spread the product better through your hair. Even though products can't actually fix the hair, it can make it appear better and (depending on the product) prepare it for daily damage
aubreyx4 8 months ago
@MissHallyMe Let it sit in your hair for at least 15 mins. Also as you already said; stay away from heatproducts. After the shower you can use a product for protection and styling. I personally use a product you have to apply at night, and in the morning my hair is soft. Maybe a tip: what I do when I don't feel like using heatproducts, I just put my hair in a bun and let it dry like that, and I always get loose curls that is still easy to style.
aubreyx4 8 months ago
@MissHallyMe You can weekly apply a hairmask like egg yolk, or mayonaise (sounds gross iknow lol). Nutritional products like honey or avocado can also be added to a mask. Always read the back of a product, to see to what kind of hair it is targeted. If you have dry hair you don't want shampoo for oily hair of course :).
aubreyx4 8 months ago
@MissHallyMe At the end of your shower you can turn the head all the way to cold and stand in it for 10-30 seconds (or untill your hair feels cold). This is not only good for your skin but also for the hair. As you can see haircare is a lot like skincare :) But in the end the key is always patience.
aubreyx4 8 months ago
@MissHallyMe And keep visiting the hairdresser for a trim :) If you don't like your hairdresser because he/she is stubborn or just simply cuts too much off in your opinion; find another one (One that goes for quality not quantity). I can advice to find one that you personally like because you'll be able to talk more which in the end is a benefit for your hair.
aubreyx4 8 months ago
@MissHallyMe When you find the right one that completely understands what you want you'll trust him with your hair, and after a while you won't even have to explain what you want. Sorry for the long answer!

GuidetteExpert 9 months ago

Brunettebombshell85 9 months ago
ok here is a very awkward one, i have oily damaged hair,,,,verry oily very dameged hair O-O i hade my hair permed""by so called profeccinals" against my will when i was young"6thgrade" and younger, i quit doing that, i have never dyed it and it was allways horrible, so last year i started straightning it,, it looks better staightend but i know its not good for it, i want to fixish it, with out it being cutt off, because most hairdressers are not to bright.

unknownfallenangell 9 months ago
@unknownfallenangell Rofl I understand what you mean. Personally I don't let just anyone cut my hair:P Only my mom and a friend. They know that I'm attached to my hair so they don't dare to cut too much off it. xD All I can say is try to find the right hairdresser for you that understands. Even if he/she is a bit far away, it might be worth it. =]
aubreyx4 9 months ago
this seems like a joke video. aubreyx4 may have come off a bit rude, but i feel like you're just reading the labels off the products that you bought.
Ceelu15 9 months ago
@Ceelu15 I'm just sharing tips that worked for me. If you don't like my advice then don't take it! The reason I made this video was because I get a good number of msg from ppl asking how I got my hair long. I do wish ppl would just agree to disagree rather then leave me rude comments calling my video a joke! This video was free to watch. So what did you waste but a few mins of your time?
Brunettebombshell85 9 months ago
ok im no professional BUT i just wanna say this to calm the "paniced". its true that dead hair needs to be cut off, but even tho you cant really repair he hair you can make it better, like alot better or aleast till it grows out to were you can cut more off. i say this because my hair got to the point where when it was dry it was breaking off in pieces and when wet i could pull out chunks and now my hair is almost to its old self, cut off what you can and deep condition and use reconstructors.
aTetrohedronHat 10 months ago
@aubreyx4 there actually is new ingredients in some of the higer end shampoos that CAN mend split ends. I have hairdressers in my family also, so that doesnt really prove anything about your information. just saying.
kywilliams082295 11 months ago
@kywilliams082295 "... that CAN mend split ends." I can not judge if they can MEND it, because I have no experience with ALL high end shampoos, I have 1 high end shampoo that I use so can't judge for the others. And Maybe they can mend it. But it's still not a cure, it still doesn't repair it. Just mending it doesn't keep your hair healthy, it just makes it look healthy. The comments I have posted about this issue is about repairing split ends -> dead hair.
aubreyx4 11 months ago
@aubreyx4 If you want to get technical all hair is "dead" and if your theory is true that oncce hair is damaged it cant be fixed then that means the second someone damages their hair they should just cut it all off, which no one does because that would be supid. :)
kywilliams082295 11 months ago
@kywilliams082295 Hair is not alive, that is true. But by 'dead hair' I mean split ends, as most people talk about split ends when referring to dead hair.
aubreyx4 11 months ago
@aubreyx4 Cutting your hair will not make it longer. Hair grows from the roots
xItsMartax 11 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@xItsMartax Another one that can't read. It says "Also get a haircut every month (every 2 months if you want your hair to grow longer) to keep it healthy." The purpose of cutting your hair is to keep it healthy. If you want your hair to grow it's advisable not to cut it every month but every 2 months to still give it a chance to actually grow.
aubreyx4 11 months ago
@xItsMartax I know hair grows from the roots. I'm not that stupid, thank you. If you actually read what I said I'm telling that cutting your hair is to keep away the split ends. Nothing more.

@aubreyx4 I also know shampoo can not seal up a split end but it can help prevent them!
Brunettebombshell85 1 year ago
@Brunettebombshell85 I don't mean this offensive of course. The way I type can come over in a cold way, because I've just wrote too many essays I think. :P. But it's not my intention to offend you in any way.

Brunettebombshell85 1 year ago
@Brunettebombshell85 lmao, sure :D Anyways, have a nice day. :P
aubreyx4 1 year ago
@Brunettebombshell85 shampoo doesn't help anything. i recently quit using shampoo, and use baking soda mixed with water instead. shampoo has soo many harsh chemicals that just strips it of moisture, which leads to more split ends. there are some shampoos that don't have the harsh chemicals, but those are extremely expensive. i've been 'poo-free for almost a month and i'm amazed; my hair looks SO much healthier and has actually has more volume, too.
manson219 10 months ago
@aubreyx4 That's something hairdresser say because thaey want you to keep coming back to them! :)
Brunettebombshell85 1 year ago
@Brunettebombshell85 No, it is not. This is my opinion, but how would a simple shampoo put back your split ends? Unless it has superglue in it, it's not possible. Repair Damaged Hair is something big companies tell you to get that money out of your wallet. I don't pay for my hair to get cut, so why would any hairdresser try to get me back for free? Hair is alive, it's a part of the human being. Bringing something back from death is impossible, same goes for DEAD hair = split ends.
aubreyx4 1 year ago
@aubreyx4 I was talking about when you said you need to cut your hair every 2 months in order for it to grow! my hair is down to my waist and I haven't cut in over a year. Before I use to go to a hair dresser to get it cut every couple of months and and my hair would never grow past my shoulders! So I stopped listening to hairdressers. I still know I need to cut my hair every once in awhile in order to get rid of split ends but not every 2 months in order for it to grow!
Brunettebombshell85 1 year ago
@Brunettebombshell85 I didn't say you have to cut it for it to grow. I said to prevent dead ends and still let it grow in a healthy way cut it every 2 months instead of once a month. This will make your hair grow and still keep the split ends away. My hair is halfway my back, and I cut it every 2 months (free though, so it's a lot cheaper for me:P). It's just a way to keep the split ends away and yet let your hair grow.
aubreyx4 1 year ago
@Brunettebombshell85 Also there are official scientific studies that prove damaged hair can not be fixed. It is a myth to sell products and to keep them rich. People that believe that a shampoo can fix dead hair would be better off preventing it then fighting it, because it's a lost battle. It is dead, and can not be saved. It can only be prevented.
aubreyx4 1 year ago
@aubreyx4 A quote from your comment! " Also get a haircut every month (every 2 months if you want your hair to grow longer"
Brunettebombshell85 1 year ago
@Brunettebombshell85 Funny how you don't quote the whole sentence. The sentence is: "Also get a haircut every month (every 2 months if you want your hair to grow longer) to keep it healthy."
Thats the quote and if you read carefully it says 'to keep it healthy'. Thats the purpose of cutting your hair: to keep it healthy.
aubreyx4 1 year ago
basically my hair is really damaged, from dying it, its short with very weird curls, that do not look flattering on my length of hair, so i straighten it alot, i used to dye my hair crazy times, from black to blonde to black to blonde, now im leaving dyes out of my hair for a few years at least. how often would you say you straighten yours, like, lets say i wash my hair every other other day, three days, would that protectant keep it straight for that long? and does it stay straight in the cap?
JuLiEnScUpCaKe 1 year ago
@JuLiEnScUpCaKe I wash my hair every 2 days and as long as I don't get it wet it will stay straight. If will not be pin straight like right after I straighten it but its good enough for me. So your hair should stay pretty straight in the shower cap.

so theres always ways to help make hair stronger and to prevent hair from getting damaged. but once the hair is Broken (split or flared like a broom) the ONLY solution is to cut it. you cant mend back together hair that is split, no product does that. BUT you can help PREVENT damage with products to make hair stronger, moisturized and healthier.
cosmochica24 1 year ago
sometimes shampoos claim to repair hair but usually all they are doing is filling in the shaft. which gives the appearance of healthy hair. remember hair is dead...so you can't really fix it.
