@TrippyDrummer like at 0:58 ? grip the stick with your thumb and index tightly where you would normal hold the stick (about 1/3 up it) and loosen, almost no contact with the other fingers to the stick. then let the tip hit the top of the hi hat and you get it bouncing. once you get good at getting that bounce, then later you can start controlling how many hits you get off the rebound. u can also do this on skins. hope that helped hahahah :L
