  • @JoeyGuitarman1965 Thanks, JoeyGuitarman1965. It was a Boss Loop Station. I don't have it anymore, sold it.

  • @camkerse I have a lot of Poco audio music, but I'm not familiar with that song. My suggestion is to do a google search. Good luck!

  • one of the best versions of one of the best songs ever composed. great job - inspirational.

  • Love it !!!!! Another Chris here (from NYC). Saw Yes and Frampton Sat night, and they are all still as awesome as ever!!! Any chance you could forward me the tab or sheet music for your cover???? Been working on it at home, but it is a lot of work to figure it all out.

  • Awesome work!!! Another Chris here (from NYC), just saw Yes and Frampton Sat night at the beach, and both sounded as awesome as ever! Any chance you could post the tab or sheet music for your arrangement?

  • Hey Chris, another Chris in NYC here. Just saw Yes Sat night at the beach, and they sounded as amazing as ever!!! I also play and have the Boss GT10. Wondering if you could explain how you created multiple layers in the looper, as I have been struggling with mine. And of course if you have the sheet music or tab for your arrangement we would love it if you would post it for us to learn. TERRIFIC WORK!!!!!

  • What a great version Chris...Just love it

  • Great piece of work Chris, really well put together.....always loved Close to the Edge. By the way which loop station are you using.

  • @seveertrebor Thanks for the comment. I'm using the Boss RC-20 Phrase Recorder Loop Station.

  • Ok..this is what You Tube is all about, your a genius and the whole world is gonna find out! i LOVE this video version, I am actually laughing out loud, what a fantastic, awsome experience seeing this track performed thus, I tip my hat to you good sir :)

  • Heart of the Sunrise was cool but it didn't work

  • I think it's great that you did 'your own version' of this song. I'm glad that you just didn't 'copy' it.

However, I feel that some of the constructive criticisms are valid. I'd love to hear you do this again with a different sound, but I'm glad you did this. Keep it up. I love listening to your unique style & skills

  • Ready for my opinionated and blasphemous comment?? Well.... I hadn't listened to this in about a year, but just did. Know what? This is my favorite version. Yep, I AM comparing it to the original. I love Howe and Anderson, but, the simplicity and arrangement of Chris's cover just touches on the elements which make this song great. Okay fanatics... time to lambaste me big time. Let me have it. Good job Chris.
  • cool but i have to agree to tengent your guitar sounds terrible

  • and you and i... heart of the sunrise....

  • The harmonics were nice. Too much sliding around on the intro. The rhythm on the strumming part was all wrong. Go listen to the Close To The Edge version again.

  • Beautiful~

  • Amazing!!!

  • MASTER!!!!!!!

  • excelente interpretacion amigo... congratulaciones

  • It's a good cover, but I can't stand the sound of that guitar.. so much treble..

  • I like how you worked in "Your Move".

  • that gave me goose bumps lol...wow ur very good!!!!

  • Chris, you're very talented but this is the core repetoire for Yes so you're dealing with the crown jewels here. It needs the full treatment, not a loopy knock-off.

  • dud you are awesome

  • that's SO sweet... when I can play that well that's fully all im gonna do with my life :)

  • thats awesome...because yes would play heart of the sunrise riff over something basically unrelated :D bravo!

  • i really enjoy listening to you,i try to play some yes,but i can only do a little.A1

  • I caught heart of the sunrise!

  • This is awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • you are very good now teach me really you are great hats off

  • wow you are very talented! this is going to the top of my list to learn... along with many Yes songs. thank you for the inspiration!

  • thanks for the compliment, grantchestermeadows1.

  • Absolutely amazing! Wasn't expecting the differant "layers"; VERY well done. You have a gift my friend..

  • thank you for your kind words, Tama12pc.

  • What are you using to record the various layers? This is amazing, well done.

  • Thanks, Baileygeep7. I used a loopstation pedal system to do the live layering.

  • excelent cover.

can you please make a tab for this song (in the cd version)please!!! this is my favorite song and there's no complete tabs for these. please!!!!

  • thanks, razorblade 393. Unfortunately I don't have the tab for this. I'm sure it can be found online though.

  • @razorblade393 Can't you just work it out by ear

  • That's pretty cool!

  • thank you, bndeyo.

  • I love all of your vids. What you have done with the music of Yes and Genesis is basically the same goal I have.

  • Thanks, ToujoursLAmour!

  • beautiful interpretation. that song is amazing I swear I can listen to it a million times. I'm moving to part 2, I cant wait to see you rock the 'the teacher the preacher' verses in part c. Anyhow, nice job slipping in the rocking bit from heart of the sunrise!

  • Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

  • Truly beautiful! My favorite song from my favorite band--you've done it justice.

  • I saw Yes twice... back in their heyday! They were great. "And You And I" is the song which sold me on their music. But... your solo rendition of their song is a masterpiece!! Don't let it go to your head, but your arrangement now sets the standard for all others. Thank you for sharing.

  • truley inspiring.....

  • Wonderful. 25 years after I first heard that composition it still brings tears to my eyes, its so bueatiful. Yes always reached for the next level in their music, where are all of the NEW progressive bands? I'd love to hear any original compositions you have written.

  • Man are you are hauling some large arangments.

    Should i ever go there

    WIZARDMAN

  • Great Harmonics!! Sounds great! Keep it up! Love the effects and the replays! Nice!

  • good stuff man. do you have recordings for download or sale? i'd love to have parts 1-3 in mp3

  • Hi! Nice

    Thank you for posting

  • yo dude that sht was dope. i love how you threw in 'heart of the sunrise' toward the end . that was sick! 5 stars no doubt. nice harmonics

  • Très belle version acoustique "whe have heaven " ;o

Merci à vous de partager votre musique .

  • Very Nice Work! Tastefully done..

  • Very nice. 5 stars and straight to favorites.

    ~ Lou

  • Stunning; and I don't say that lightly. I have seen Aussie Pink Floyd three times. Killer. I have seen more than a few other "tribute" bands here in Las Vegas.

But I have never seen a Yes "tribute" band. You are the closest thing to it. In fact, if there was such a band, you should be the guitarist without question. Great production effort too.

    Rating = 5 Stars

  • Thanks. You are far too kind. By the way I saw the Aussie Pink Floyd too a few years ago. They were great. But it didn't come close to seeing Roger Waters live a month and a half ago. :) That was so awesome! Almost made me cry.

  • Well yes. Roger just blew away the crowd at the MGM Grand here a few months back. Hearing some of those songs did get me emotional. I saw PF in 1973 on the DSOTM tour. I will never forget it.

Great performances should do that. I can sit here right now and hear play this song and imagine me being with my girlfriend in the 1970s. She has since passed, but right now listening to this, it's like she is right here in the room.

Thanks for this great moment in time.

  • Wow! Saw PF in 1973? That must have been a memorable moment indeed! Unfortunately I was only 2 and a half years old at that time. :( I grew up at the wrong time in history. :( I'm sorry to hear about your girlfriend's passing. I am happy to have been able to help you relive some special memories though.

  • Indeed. Pink Floyd at Olympia Stadium in Detroit, Michigan, USA; June 23, 1973. I only wish that concert was available on DVD.

Anyway, it wasn't until Febraury 28, 1974 that I saw Yes live. I was already a fan from Time and A Word, but after that concert, I became a lifetime fan.

That is why I can easily say again; your performance of this song is fantastic.

  • Excellent. Always Excellent. You inspire !!

  • let me guess first part of and you and i and then your move dont say a word and then long distance runaround then heart of thesunrise ????? great job btw shlorvid bohaffinif

  • haha, not don't say a word, but Time and a Word, no long distance runaround, but the rest was right. :)

  • Oh yeah, and Heart of the Sunrise was in there too. :)

  • WoW! Bravo! One of the my favourite Yes songs...

  • Great work again Chris, "Your Move" fits very well with the backing track. Waiting for Part 2 :)

  • Excellent as always.

  • Bravo....

    Love you playing....

  • Excellent job Chris. I'm looking forward to part 2. I love the overlays you did. Sounds perfecto.
