hey chris the following is going to sound rare, but I have just heard a beautiful song played by Poco song name find out in time, which one of the front guys was tiimothy schmit (bassist from eagles), have you heard it? do you have by any chance the chords? thanks
Love it !!!!! Another Chris here (from NYC). Saw Yes and Frampton Sat night, and they are all still as awesome as ever!!! Any chance you could forward me the tab or sheet music for your cover???? Been working on it at home, but it is a lot of work to figure it all out.
Awesome work!!! Another Chris here (from NYC), just saw Yes and Frampton Sat night at the beach, and both sounded as awesome as ever! Any chance you could post the tab or sheet music for your arrangement?
Hey Chris, another Chris in NYC here. Just saw Yes Sat night at the beach, and they sounded as amazing as ever!!! I also play and have the Boss GT10. Wondering if you could explain how you created multiple layers in the looper, as I have been struggling with mine. And of course if you have the sheet music or tab for your arrangement we would love it if you would post it for us to learn. TERRIFIC WORK!!!!!

Ok..this is what You Tube is all about, your a genius and the whole world is gonna find out! i LOVE this video version, I am actually laughing out loud, what a fantastic, awsome experience seeing this track performed thus, I tip my hat to you good sir :)
I think it's great that you did 'your own version' of this song. I'm glad that you just didn't 'copy' it.
However, I feel that some of the constructive criticisms are valid. I'd love to hear you do this again with a different sound, but I'm glad you did this. Keep it up. I love listening to your unique style & skills
Ready for my opinionated and blasphemous comment?? Well.... I hadn't listened to this in about a year, but just did. Know what? This is my favorite version. Yep, I AM comparing it to the original. I love Howe and Anderson, but, the simplicity and arrangement of Chris's cover just touches on the elements which make this song great. Okay fanatics... time to lambaste me big time. Let me have it. Good job Chris.
The harmonics were nice. Too much sliding around on the intro. The rhythm on the strumming part was all wrong. Go listen to the Close To The Edge version again.
Chris, you're very talented but this is the core repetoire for Yes so you're dealing with the crown jewels here. It needs the full treatment, not a loopy knock-off.
beautiful interpretation. that song is amazing I swear I can listen to it a million times. I'm moving to part 2, I cant wait to see you rock the 'the teacher the preacher' verses in part c. Anyhow, nice job slipping in the rocking bit from heart of the sunrise!
I saw Yes twice... back in their heyday! They were great. "And You And I" is the song which sold me on their music. But... your solo rendition of their song is a masterpiece!! Don't let it go to your head, but your arrangement now sets the standard for all others. Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful. 25 years after I first heard that composition it still brings tears to my eyes, its so bueatiful. Yes always reached for the next level in their music, where are all of the NEW progressive bands? I'd love to hear any original compositions you have written.
Stunning; and I don't say that lightly. I have seen Aussie Pink Floyd three times. Killer. I have seen more than a few other "tribute" bands here in Las Vegas.
But I have never seen a Yes "tribute" band. You are the closest thing to it. In fact, if there was such a band, you should be the guitarist without question. Great production effort too.
Thanks. You are far too kind. By the way I saw the Aussie Pink Floyd too a few years ago. They were great. But it didn't come close to seeing Roger Waters live a month and a half ago. :) That was so awesome! Almost made me cry.
Well yes. Roger just blew away the crowd at the MGM Grand here a few months back. Hearing some of those songs did get me emotional. I saw PF in 1973 on the DSOTM tour. I will never forget it.
Great performances should do that. I can sit here right now and hear play this song and imagine me being with my girlfriend in the 1970s. She has since passed, but right now listening to this, it's like she is right here in the room.
Wow! Saw PF in 1973? That must have been a memorable moment indeed! Unfortunately I was only 2 and a half years old at that time. :( I grew up at the wrong time in history. :( I'm sorry to hear about your girlfriend's passing. I am happy to have been able to help you relive some special memories though.
Indeed. Pink Floyd at Olympia Stadium in Detroit, Michigan, USA; June 23, 1973. I only wish that concert was available on DVD.
Anyway, it wasn't until Febraury 28, 1974 that I saw Yes live. I was already a fan from Time and A Word, but after that concert, I became a lifetime fan.
That is why I can easily say again; your performance of this song is fantastic.
let me guess first part of and you and i and then your move dont say a word and then long distance runaround then heart of thesunrise ????? great job btw shlorvid bohaffinif
congrats, very very good job.
