There are TWO voices, one is Lucy's, the other one is another singer's whose name I don't know, but definitely not ROC's as some people like to say. I've heard the real renee singing and believe me, you could never mistake her for Lucy, gosh, ROC's singing voice is not something you can easily forget! (there should be laws...) :-D

I would say that this is NOT Rens voice(I am actually pretty sure), but to go back to the argument about her voice. My meekly opinion is that everyone can sing. It just depends on the FEELING you put in it...I mean someone can have a beautiful voice and hold the tune, but the he/she sings it without compassion.THATS horrible singing...when there is no joy in it....and my dear XenahWP, Renee puts more joy into "just" singing than YOU do in THINKING about what and how you say something

Renee can't sing at all, of course is not Lucy all the time (you must be almost deaf if you can't hear that!), but someone else who sung the "Renee" parts.

Didn't know that being a fan means being a blind and deaf moron who think their idol is a perfect being that can do EVERYTHING. I listened to Renee "singing" at some Xena Cons and OMG, I really felt embarrassed for her... Now you can flag my comment if you feel like that, but I know deep inside you know I'm telling the real truth.

No, Renee can't sing. Her voice was dubbed by singer Susan Wood who sounds remarkably like Renee.

There was one episode "Lyre Lyre Hearts on Fire" where Renee did sing but the final musical number "People Just Wanna Be Free" was sung by Susan Wood.

This is not Renee who is singing :) Well at least not completely. The only time Ren actually sang was at the con in 2001 and I thought it wasn't bad :) It's from Lyre Lyre Hearts on Fire soundtrack if I'm not mistaken but feel free to correct me :)

Episode 1.17 is 'The Royal Couple of Thieves' the one where Xena is asked to help a group of villagers recover a valuable box that has been stolen from them. It turns out that it also significant value as a weapon and is due to be put up for auction. Xena enlists the help of Auto and together they go to an island fortress. Things start to go awry when the box is stolen and the man selling the item is found dead...

Is this really Renee Oconnor singing? I thought she couldn't sing professionally because in an episode of Xena:WP they had her lip singing for her character Gabrielle. If this is really Renee singing I'm happy and disappointed at the same time because she does have a nice voice and she should have sang in the episode Bitter Suite.
