Dont get me wrong, these guys are the most ruthless&merciless ppl. that ever walked the earth. But, they made a big contribution to the inner cities. Oh yeah, wages-unions. crimes like murders, narcotics, were controlled. . If you made a certain hood hot? they got mad. It was bad for business. So were muggings, rapes, etc. Ppl. dont understand this. Thats why crime is so way out of control today. The mob has been taken off of the streets, into offices&corps. So, the cops cant handle it all.
@TheGrandCapt So what if there if a group of dumb Italians that can t read or write meet up to have a sex party ... were they lick each other and touch the pee pee heads
One most important fact about the Mafia; ALL Mafia families are Jewish. Has nothing to do with religion. You're in the clan ONLY when you're born a Jew. All organised crime in the world is in Jewish hands. The Synagogue of Satan. And they're proud of it. It's their one secret, and you need not go and look any further to "illuminati", cause that's all bull. They are it. And nobody else.
Englsh make the best docs. I just cant take American docs seriously. They all sound like that guy Gary powell? is hes name? The guy whos kid was killed an now he goes on tv America most wanted. maybe its a culture thing. I dont hate Americans by the way
@eric090909 Is it better to have mobsters muscling you out of your hard-earned money and threatening you and your family's lives or nosy cops that violate your civil liberties, WHICH by the way, the government will slowly erode?
Angelo Bruno was a good man. His death was a tragedy since he was a fine human being who tried to take the wicked world around him and keep it from getting out of control. I hope John Stanfa and the hood who took him out rot in jail. May they repent if it's still possible.
Fantastic documentary. Reminds me of home. I haven't seen this in years. I don't approve of some of their actions, but I understand it with regard to liberals and jews. They aren't white punks acting like ghetto hoods. They're proud of their European race.
You would think that a documentary from the early 80's would hold back a bit and be more politically correct as opposed to the big bad realism of 2010,,, but quite the opposite. unbelievably candid
Am I alone in thinking that senate committee was a very close copy of the one Micheal Corleone walked over in G2? Some of the senators look very similar. Maybe intentional by Coppola
once a wiseguy always a wiseguy when you hang out with a certain type of group even tho you dont do the same activities like rob or kill you still gonna live like them and copy their culture and speak their language. its a psychological thing it just sticks to you. that influence.
Jimmy was cool tempered and has a smooth persona. This is the perfect guy for the mob. I know a guy just like him, and apparently he claims he knew mob people but isn't in it, but its obvious to see who he really is lol. Jimmy appears to be straightforward and genuine, but he really thinks out all the angles. Like when he had a sitdown where the boss was seeing what he would say about some killing.
the "weasel" was more like an acting boss. he was put in because he wasn't ambitious and power could easily be taken away from him. i read several accounts where bosses wouldn't meet with him, nor did many midwest or east coast bosses respect a LA boss. he did help to bring down Cleveland and Buffalo families
what about the photo of him at the westchester premiere theatre with paul castellano, greg de palma, carlo gambino and a couple of other heavies..........? gambino was the boss of bosses at this point remember.
one of the most informative and raw documentaries ever produced in my opinion about la cosa nostra, the mafia Brilliant my father owns a copy of this, its just ... brilliant.
joe valachi was not an idiot, read the valachi papers, the mafia betrayed valchi, valachi didnt betray the mafia - valachi had more honour than jimmy the weasel, more honour any day of the week
yup, if you read the valachi papers you see that valachi spent his whole life working for the mob just to get ripped off at every turn by his capo tony bender and by vito, and he took it for all those years - then vito tried to have him killed because he suspected he might be ratting, which he wasnt - there was no sit down, no nothing, and the way they went about it was really snide, they acted like little boys - joe valachi is the only one who kept his dignity from start to finish.
and he wasnt even the first rat, go read some mafia books - cola gentile, members of the morello family, there were loads of rats before valachi, they just didnt make it onto tv
Great upload, looking forward to the rest of the documentary. I never knew how many bits and pieces people sampled from this for albums such as Mobb Deep.
See ... this is the reason why colored gangs can not grow. They are like animals in a zoo.

Why is there always someone on every mob-video that claims to know someone in the mafia?
