I throughly enjoyed this piece and all your other pieces for that matter. I saw someone in the comments ask you for a copy of the transcription you played. I also would be willing to donate as it is for my use only. I am a self taught memorizer and hoping to increase my skills this summer. Either way, thanks for sharing your music.
I really... really like this. I always wanted to know how to play the piano. Unfortunately, I never learned. How splendid I think it is, that you take the time to share your gift to the world. You've really put me at ease... you really, truly have.
Magnifique!!! See... now you just gave me a boost to restart playing the piano which I had to give up for my work.. I just wish I could play that song as good as you are playing it.
Perhaps one day will I be as impressed of my performance as I am now of yours.
@860125mwj just listened to oscar's version which i enjoyed very much indeed.alas it was more mechanical instead of smooth flow for me but never the less a rendition i am richer for sampling. thankyou for your recommendation.
Oh man.... What a sound, what a touch... I listen to this song whenever I can; I try to play it, but fantastic though it is, I never thought it could ever be this beautiful. Thanks for opening my ears.
Your interpretation of this piece is beyond beautiful, beyond poetic. It brings so much joy to one's heart and soul. You are heaven sent and I thank you for your talent, thank you for sharing this with us. God Bless You.
i ' ve really enjoyed your solo !!! it's so emotional !!! i think it would be suitable for a film , too !!! I've posted a video-response of this song , i hope you'll enjoy !!
i am really interested in synthology after hearing your videos. I own the rd700gx and for the life of me the piano sounds are just really lacking something...
i was curious since you obviously know what your doing....
all i need is a laptop, the software and my piano?
thank you, you touched my heart with your gift, tears rolling down. It is so peaceful how you play. What a release of my stressful week at a new job. A sax player told me about this song at work, and now I can learn to sing it better. thanks! :)
i wish u would write the music down for this as well just like with round midnight ...im not really a jazz man strictly classical pianist but i luv your music gr8 stuff 5 starts
I just recommended this song to a friend to calm down from a fight, and even though I've listened to this so many times, we both ended with tears in our eyes. Simply beautiful.
Thank you so much for your comment. Your kind words are very touching and meaningful to me. You have a wonderful legacy in this masterpiece of a a song that your father wrote.
I think this piano sounds really good!! bout as close to the real thing as ur going to get unless u can afford a Yamaha cp300, excellent playing by the way very soothing
I remember when it was first released and lots of people I knew were harping on about how good the sound was "best stage piano out right now". I went to a shop and put it stereo through 2 KC-500 amps and after playing throuh most of the patches said to the shop assistant it sounded rubbish. He laughed and said I was the first person to say that. Ilaughed back and said bye bye
Full marks for playing (also in E) so sensitively and sweetly, also for the camera position, and using a superb Roland, I wonder what other sounds are possible. I always dream of a Chopin in electric piano mode.
5 stars....you should write your chord patterns out for this its really something i like it, i am a classical pianist who is newly into jazz and i would love to learn this i learnt your "round midnight" gr8 job on that 2...but i had the sheets for that one
hello 7notemode..just wonderin..im 15 years old and love jazz piano..i play classical piano but have been teaching myself jazz just by listening to different pianists..was wondering how you learned how to play
Amazing compositional skills! As a professional pianist I can appreciate this deep and thoughtful arrangement. The big plus here is the fact you used the key of E Major which is so delicious and bright and when it slides to C# Minor (Chopin's favorite key), everything just melts inside of the listener. Great work my friend.
I have always loved this song...from Coltrane/Hartman to Sonny Rollins ...but your's is one of the most moving...in fact, to tears just sitting here at the computer...thanks for something so lovely...
I keep returning to listen to this lovely arrangement. The way you play the 'release', is reminiscent of Stephane Grappelli when he did this piece on piano, with Martin Taylor on guitar.
To me, the beauty of this piece is the strong emphasis on the melody presented so simply by the right hand. The left hand subjects itself to the melody and does not compete but complements. It is absolutely gorgeous and deeply moves me.
Very good playing. The only thing that sounds unnatural to me is the jumps in dynamics; the right hand suddenly jumps out and overpowers the left-hand during the melody. This might be a setting issue in ivory or maybe it's the keyboard touch-sensitivity.

More than beautifully done. Is it okay to say, you own this song. You give credit to other muscians, except when you play as well as this, it becomes your song. You humbly give credit to another performer, and encourage listeners to hear their version. I have often attempted to play nearly as well as you. If I were to play the same arrangement I'd have to say, "Listen to 7notemode's ... he is where I found the motivation to try." A very genuine 5 Stars from your humble audience. Thank you.
