It is the Zune 3.0 software bug. My Zune 120 used to freeze twice daily. Zune 3.1 is now available, just update it and it wont freeze again.

im not sure with the hdd based zunes but my flashed based zune can turn completely off by pressing the back button and the down arrow at the same time, that may solve your problem.

I've had my 1st gen zune since it came out and the screen hasnt scratched at all and that is after being towed around Europe this summer for a month too listening to it in my pocket. The screen it much tougher than the ipod classic's and as strong as the new nano's.

the only bad part about the screen is you can easily get smudges and fingerprints on it

it is glass b/c i am holding one. they are pretty durable to becuz- today i was in p.e. and some girl accidentely through the zune out of my hand and it fell hard-i thought the screen had broken so i gave her a real dirty look, but when i picked it of the floor i was very surprised to find it didn't even have a little scratch

mine too, i accidently kickd mine when it fell out of my hand as i was walking out of my chem class, it flew about 5 feet towards a metal door and bounced off and landed on the tile and still worked only the bak was scratchd n thats it, im glad i didnt get an ipod it wouldve broke for sure

My iPod fell out of my pocket while I was biking really fast down a road. The iPod bounced sooooo many times I thought it would be broken for sure but it still works fine and only has some dings on the corners.
