I don't think Chell weights enough (not a fat joke, she just seems so light. In portal 1: flash version, Chell weighs enough to create a feeling of momentum. Just a suggestion.

I've told a few people that Portal 2 flash is on the back burner for now. It's extremely time consuming and I have other projects that take priority at the moment. I'm working on a few websites and projects that are more urgent than Portal 2 Flash at the moment.

I may get everything stable n throw a demo out there at some point if I get time though.

I think it's funny that the primary element you included is the pneumatic diversity tubes... which were only used, like... once in the actual game... and in a behind-the-scenes sorta way... (I mean, there's the one co-op test where you push the button and it ejects something from the tube... but nothing really comes to mind when I think of it.... :/)

They're the first thing I worked on, then Valve decided to cut them from the game almost entirely. They'll still be in the Flash game, and play more of a part in the game as they were originally intended =)

@HellsPlumber I dunno. I remember seeing all of the trailers containing that... and they seemed really... pointless (funny, but pointless considering the Excursion Funnel). (I mean, it's a diversity tube, it should suck up Chell, too... that'd suck.) Of course, everyone seemed to like replicating that one element. I do believe a number of people made a Portal 1 mod to make it seem like Portal 2, and it contained all of the test chambers featured in the preview videos... mostly the tube ones.

@SirGreenThing That could raise legal issues as people would be able to play through Portal 2's story without buying the game. This is made as more of a fan-made flash version, so I'll probalby go with a different story, but we'll see how things play out.

@KlockoBlockland I never planned on adding an ingame level editor, so the way I've programmed the game wouldn't work well with one and would open it up to a whole bunch of glitches. They made it as concept art of her new costume, but everyone hated it so they went back to her original design AFTER I'd added it to the game. As I've said to others here, if I do change it to match her new look, it'll be the last thing I change so she'll look like this in most future videos and demos.

You should change Chell's clothing. It's way diffrent then in the game. But although I know where you got it from, Valve released a beta image or whatever on Chell in that clothing.

@CorporalShephard666 They actually said they wanted to clothes to look more "machine made", as if a machine had made them for her while she was in cryo. Thus simplistic with logos where needed for tracking etc. But everyone seemed to hate it, and it didn't really make sense that they'd change her uniform since it was official testing clothes anyway =P

@kingsidorak Once he's "derailed" he appears in the game as front-view, so you can see his eye. I'm trying to keep the games performance at it's best, and adding semi-transparent gradients such as glow effects slows things down so I've tried to keep them to a minimum (thus the lack of effects where the diversity vent is concerned).

I've considered a torch-light level as in Portal 2 using Wheatley though.

I didn't work on Portal TFV so Portal 2 Flash is created from scratch, so those bugs won't be there unless it's something with your PC.

@DeloreandudeTommy The way the game is coded, each puzzle is a test chamber, with an enterance and an exit door. Due to this, the condemed tests of Portal 2 wouldn't really translate over well as it would...scratch that, I may have an idea on a good way to do it.

@ninjafish258 The boxes, turrets, tubes, chamber etc will. The only thing tha won't is Chell. The skin you see in this video was made when Valve said she would look like that and released the artwork showing it. They then decided to change it AFTER I'd animated it. I'd rather get the programming done that waste any more time redrawing and reanimating Chell again. Sorry!

@quickhakker No, it's not released yet. Twitter provides me with a way to add quick updates while I'm workin on the game. You don't NEED a Twitter to see em, just bookmark the page and check it once in a while.
