There's no such thing as "going" straight or gay. You can be pressured or coerced into denying what you are, but the physiological factors that make you what you are will always be there. They can be suppressed through threats of violence and/or ostracism, but they'll always be part of your biological makeup. I know I have always, and will always like and be attracted to women, no matter what, because that's the way I'm wired. Same thing happens to gay people. There's no such thing as "choice".

The vote wasn't intolerant. The vote was right. Even in California, one of the bluest states in the union people understand that marriage is between a man and a woman, end of story. Being gay is a choice, just like being Catholic. Nobody is saying they can't be gay, or they can't vote, or they can't use public bathrooms, they are just saying they can't make a mockery of marriage. Just because gays don't understand common sense doesn't make everyone else intolerant, just gays.

These prop 8 protesters are more guilty of bigotry than me. I have proven more tolerant than them considering I was indifferent towards gay marriage until the prop 8 protests and they are just intolerant of anyone that is for prop 8. @nitedrive while I have no real problem with the idea of having multiple partners in an equal relationship, I do have a problem with a 45 year old man marrying a 14-16 year old girl. Epically since she has very little choice in the matter, in these closed Mormon communities its marry who your father says or be disowned and thrown out on the street. So Yes I have an issue with the Mormon form of polygamy, but not 3 or more people in a committed and mutually loving relationship.
