Unfortunately Candace has yet to convince her brother and now it'll be more difficult than ever! For he's become a full-blown theocrat (or opportunist). Google "Newt 7 Moral Mountains"
so since keith olbermann like interviewing people who have different from their notable parents. when is he going to talk to william j murray, son of madalyn murray o'haire, outspoken atheist who had prayer taken out of school? see mr. murray, is a devout christian, who his mother disowned when she found out he converted, so i guess intolerance isn't a religious thing?
I was in a marriage, where my husband either threatened to beat me or actually beat me. Is that in God's will? I am in a wonderful relationship right now. I am the happiest I have ever been in a relationship. I do plan on getting remarried, so if THAT makes me an Atheist, so be it.
I say let the queers get married if they want to... Because they always have something to bitch about anyways, so after they get marriage what will be the next topic they bitch about... It's a choice to be gay, but if they want to get married then so be it... I wish all men homosexual as it would leave alot more women for me lol...
It is a choice... I mean how do you explain going straight??? How do you explain Biosexuals??? How do you explain straight dudes that go to prison turning gay??? It's a choice.... Just as I choose to be with people of the opposite sex, homosexuals choose to be with people of the same sex...
Wrong. Tell me something...When did you decide that you wanted to be straight, and why? If you can come up with a credible, intelligent, coherent answer to that question I'll give you a pass and leave you alone...
We all are Americans. All Americans have the freedoms. I believe that everyone should have the right to marry who they choose, even if it is a same sex marriage. They are Americans as well.
That's right! This is a subject that deals with prejudice, and with the desire of some to deny basic human rights to others on the basis of their own ignorance and their religious fanaticism. In the 21st Century, we have an obligation as a people to do away with obsolete, harmful sets of beliefs that only hurt others and diminish us as Americans.
Ok when did you decide to be gay??? I chose to be straight at birth... That is natural selection... See if all species were gay from the beginning of time, no matter what religion you believe in, there would be no modern day earth right now... I mean pro creation is a major factor... If you cant reproduce species die... Long before there were test tube babies and scientific knowledge you had to be with the opposite sex to pro create and keep the species alive... Now please explain that asshole
That's an illogical answer. There's just no way you could have made an informed, conscious decision like that at the moment of birth. Be serious. You really have no plausible answer to my question, so you resort to insults and incoherent blabber. Do away with your prejudices and your ignorance, bud. This is 2009, and at this stage of the game we need more than old wives tales and ignorant, misguided notions of morality to live by. We're all equals, and we have the same rights under the law.
But you never answered my questions... Why do straight dudes that go to prison become gay??? Why is their such thing as Biosexuality??? Why is their such thing as going straight??? I mean if all this by genes how do you explain all the aforementioned phenomenon... I mean I could care less if gays get married, I am just tiref of homosexuals making excuses for being the way they are... It seems like homosexuals want everyone to cater to them and I am sickened by that
There's no such thing as "going" straight or gay. You can be pressured or coerced into denying what you are, but the physiological factors that make you what you are will always be there. They can be suppressed through threats of violence and/or ostracism, but they'll always be part of your biological makeup. I know I have always, and will always like and be attracted to women, no matter what, because that's the way I'm wired. Same thing happens to gay people. There's no such thing as "choice".
@dl30wpb "But you never answered my questions... Why do straight dudes that go to prison become gay???" They don't its called gay for the stay, humans have sexual needs and with out the opposite sex they seek to fill these needs with the same sex.
As far as the gene question, if you have the cancer gene it dose not mean you will get cancer its just more likely. Nothing in biology is 100% epically when it comes to genes. how do you explain women with XX born with both male and female sex origins
the people have spokens yes on 8 americans let's stop them and keep it that way and cut that bullshit out saying it's a human rights things and civil rights wow gays not a right it's a choose.....

The vote wasn't intolerant. The vote was right. Even in California, one of the bluest states in the union people understand that marriage is between a man and a woman, end of story. Being gay is a choice, just like being Catholic. Nobody is saying they can't be gay, or they can't vote, or they can't use public bathrooms, they are just saying they can't make a mockery of marriage. Just because gays don't understand common sense doesn't make everyone else intolerant, just gays.
When people say things like Being gay is a choice, and use phrases like "force their beliefs on me" or "down our throats", it kind of makes you wonder what they really are imagining.
Being an atheist is a choice, just like being Catholic. But atheists are allowed to get married. Being an atheist is NOT God's will. Neither is divorce. In God's eyes, marriage is an ETERNAL thing. By allowing people to divorce and to remarry, we are lessening the meaning of marriage.
Just curious, how bout someone in california challenges the court rulling by saying that the government should not be in the business of marriages.
i.e. they should issue a Union license and not a marriage license and everything that has marriage in it should be union, and any group can call it whatever they want but to government eyes it is a Union.

Funny how the fags want equality, yet they are so anti-polygamy. Until the faggots realize that any type of marriage should be allowed they will keep losing the argument. Keep it up fags.
Who is anti-polygamy, none of my friends are anti-polygamy. They aren't for it for themselves, but they wouldn't be against anyone else doing it. The arguement is that just because you allow gay marriage doesn't mean polygamy will be accepted, but that has nothing to do with the gay community. So once again, who is against polygamy?
I know of none, and there are only 16 comments on this bored and none of them even talk about it. I am pretty sure I know more gay people than you and all of them do not care what anyone does in their relationship as long as it doesn't harm anyone else and it is consentual. Some gay people, as well as straight, are against ALL types of marriages, but I don't know any who are against just polygamy. I don't know where you get your info from.

The protests changed my mind, it made me just hate gays. Freaking faggots shoving their stupid whiny bullshit down our throats pisses me off. I am all for tolerance and equal rights, but this is some stupid bullshit. To think that not only do we have to have tolerance for faggots, now they want us to celebrate their fagdom! They already have equality. A fag can do anything I can do, why do they need more?
These prop 8 protesters are more guilty of bigotry than me. I have proven more tolerant than them considering I was indifferent towards gay marriage until the prop 8 protests and they are just intolerant of anyone that is for prop 8. But when you call me a bigot you are wrong, because it isn't their beliefs that I am opposed to, it is when they try and force their beliefs on me, that is when I become intolerant. Gay marriage is just gays whining for attention once more and I am tired of it.
Asking for attention? I think I've heard the same said about rape victims, and the same about black people when fighting for the right to vote, along with women asking for the same. They just want attention. Well, how else do you change society, or right wrongs if you don't do it by drawing attention to htese issues? Since when does ignoring problems solve problems?
Thank you Candace for your work on same-sex marriage and support of equality for all. The main story here is that a number of people now recognize that they should have voted NO on Proposition 8. It's too bad that they didn't realize that before.
candace gingrich has become an AMAZING rep for LGBT rights & I'm so proud to know (of) her and to see that she's bringing this issue forward so articulately and forthrightly! Thank you CG!
Heres an Idea! Lets do a Prop 9 about Taxing that fun bunch of polygamistic ass wads otherwise known as the Mormons!!! I think that they are extremely dangerous to the entire planet! They possess hypocrisy in such incredibly dense amounts they are in immanent danger of forming a black hole of chutzpah!
...well black people have been telling you how crazy Mormons were for years, but noooooo... the very idea that Mormons believe that a black man couldn't get into heaven until 1976 was crazy enough but the fact that they god explained it to them before us???
That whole nutball story that Romney tells about pulling his car over on the highway and calling his "black" friend to give him the good news... is all kinds of booger eatin crazy.
Oh damn, I forgot for a sec about that bit of lunacy! The "mud people" debacle! What a fine advertisement for the benefits of being organised religion free they are.
At my home page I have several playlists, mostly music based, but two of them are not. One is called 'Bat Shit Crazy' and I swear, I have a cartoon explaining LDS basic tenets in it.
You know you are a barking loon when a witch can't see your point.
@nitedrive while I have no real problem with the idea of having multiple partners in an equal relationship, I do have a problem with a 45 year old man marrying a 14-16 year old girl. Epically since she has very little choice in the matter, in these closed Mormon communities its marry who your father says or be disowned and thrown out on the street. So Yes I have an issue with the Mormon form of polygamy, but not 3 or more people in a committed and mutually loving relationship.
Ewww...Candace Gingrich makes my skin crawl!

If you favor homosexual 'marriage', on what grounds do you criticize 'polygamistic' Mormons?
One alternate definition of marriage is ok, but not another?
I don't see how you can advocate that and not be engaging in the 'discrimination' so often attributed to those opposed to homosexual 'marriage.'
