The song on its own would be enough but with the comic... the way the music swells as it shows all the years of happiness they have together... building to its most uplifting right as he's fully grown... and then the realization that what we have is never forever... and being thankful for the time we get... as the music fades and dies...

I've seen the other videos for this comic, but none of them made me shed tears as profusely as this one...

But what made me really cry here is how talented and creative, both through art and music, our brony community really is. I've never seen such dedication to anything before, and really...it's unbelievably heartwarming.

I'm sad because of how sad ponies can be!

Ponies are cute and not supposed to be sad! They should stay tiny and cute forever.

I'm also sad because of how lame most the other fandoms are compaired to ponies, only a few fanbases are even half as loyal as the Bronies are to Mrs Faust, I don't think they realise how good they have it. I'm not even a Brony, but almost all the things I like aren't even half as loyal as Bronies have been, that in itself is sad.

We all entertain these thoughts. I know Mom has had go through this with my siblings and I. It was the same when I left home for the Marines and leaving to go out West to work the oil and gas fields. But we always come back to the nest and spend as much time with Mom and Dad. Phone calls and eventually video chat helped but it wasn't the same as walking through the front door for that first hug and sitting down to dinner. Spike would never leave forever. He'd come and visit his friends.

@ErasmusBasset I think that's what actually makes it sad. Any mother (no, I'm not one) will tell you that their child (or dragon) leaving the nest is always a sad time. So this is sad from Twilight's point of view. But as a happy sad, not sad sad!

@DarthNader26 Okay, there was a delayed reaction here. After posting this comment I turned my comp off and jumped in my car to go to school, and just started choking up. I realized that the combination of the strip and the music made me think of my mother. We used to play cello together, and we haven't really been able to do it since she divorced my deadbeat dad. We've both been too busy to play lately.

It just really made me sad in a really good way. Made me remember a lot of happy memories.

Well it depends on how dragons age, the probably live a lot longer than Ponies do. But even so Twilight and Spike will have to separate... I hope that's not for a long time. I like their friendship and would be sad if Spike had to leave. Pictures were heartwarming and sad.
