  • Do you sing "jesus loves the little children" during Passover, Mr. ARepublicanVictory? You know passover, when your piece of shit baby killing god killed babies to get a man to do something? Whorshiping a baby killer for a pathetic attemp at personal salvation from a god who over and over shows he doesn't give a shit about you, only himself. If he cared about us he would have cured all blind or crippled people, not just the people who praised him. Jesus Christ is a selfish FUCK. And so are you

  • Atheism is a self deluded disease of the mind. Moronic atheists actually think that a presence is not responsible for all of this. Atheist people are MORONS, ALL MORONS. I wish they would all die in sync, go to Hell, and burn forever.

  • @ARepublicanVictory I am a atheist. I do not "wish" for you to die and be punished. Why is it that most, not all, theists resort to threats to get their point across? Really?....you resort to threats? Very child-like and immature.

  • @TheOutzman Die bitch and go straight to hell.

  • "An invisible man in the sky" - well that's hardly the definition of God. I am surprised that none of the interviewers challenged this awkward and simplistic definition. Yes, religion may portray God as "an invisible man in the sky" but that is because the original target audience could not comprehend more than that. But today we are able to comprehend more, and give room to interpretation. For example, when a prophet was taken to the sky on a chariot of fire, it could have been a spaceship, etc

  • @johnnyone9 Invisible man in the sky isn't a definition- it's a description. Today we can comprehend much more- like science, the world around us and the unfounded, supernatural claims of religion. So what's more likely, a god spaceship took a prophet or some illiterate goat herders got high on some plant they smoked, or just make up fantastical stories, like humans have been doing for ages?

  • @utubepunk You can comprehend nothing. You are an atheist airhead. There was a life force behind this and everything living. Nothing just popped up out of nothing, dumb ass atheist MORON.

  • @ARepublicanVictory LOL. A life-force? Okay, Yoda- Prove it. So, who would Jesus insult? Thanks for being a true witness for your god. Take a break from your weak trolling ways and offer some evidence.

  • Bread goes in, toast comes out. You can't explain that.

  • O'Reilly is playing a character. hes trolling.

  • The Media Research Center released a study in 2008 reporting pro-atheism bias by major press outlets in the United States. The study is not surprising given the liberal bias that commonly exists in the major media outlets. Liberals will do anything to down play Christianity or anything that has to do with God. Yet these Liberals dare say that they are...Christian. Liberals are filthy liars and should go straight to hell without a trial.

  • @ARepublicanVictory "Liberals are filthy liars and should go straight to hell without a trial."

The concept of hell is not something to be flung around lightly, and accepting the idea that the majority of the world, good and bad, men, women, and children are going to burn in hell according to your fairy tales is nothing short of mental instability (assuming you are still sane). People like YOU should see a shrink so you can discuss how your father mercilessly beat religion into you as a child.

  • @Ingmatter You will go straight to hell just like Liberals. I can not wait. Atheist faggot-

  • atheism is still mostly an abstraction-

  • The US is one of the most advanced societies on earth and yet a sizable portion of its population only believe in creation and want to forbid the teaching of evolution... go figure

  • @zaxxxon Evolution is taught in schools. You are upset because people believe otherwise. You allow that to be YOUR problem.

  • America is the most successful nation on the earth, but has political commentators like Bill O'Reilly and presidential candidates like Rick Perry. You really can't explain that. Don't even try.

  • Van Dyke goes in, Van Dyke goes out.

  • Dick goes in, dick goes out. Never a miscommunication. You can't explain that.

  • "the tide goes in the tide goes out, you can't explain that" ...Did Bill O`Reilly go to school past third grade? The gravitational pull of the moon on the oceans, pulls on the water and combined with the rotation of the earth forms the tides. That is why tides last roughly 6 hours, you IDIOT! Seriously, learn to read and perhaps think before you open your mouth. If I was your grade school science teacher I would be ashamed that you passed my class!

  • Tide goes in, stains go out. You can't explain that.

  • Food goes in, shit comes out, you can't explain that!

  • Homer Simpson: " Bed goes up, bed goes down".

Bill O'Reily: " Tide goes in, tide goes out".

This guy is a national news broadcaster, in Britain he would be mercilessly lampooned.

  • 0:35 the "wtf" expression

  • @ARepublicanVictory

Hitler was raised in a Roman Catholic family. Stalin, Orthodox Christian. Pol Pot, Theravada Buddhist. Castro, Roman Catholic too.

Perhaps it was their religious upbringing that's responsible, or the fact that they all had black hair. Or perhaps it's more complex than something so idiotic.

  • @FHomeBrew

Um... atheists don't just deny "one god," they don't believe in any gods. To deny one god but believe in another/others would make you something other than an atheist.

Also, I haven't met an atheist yet who believes in superstitions. Please cite one or a superstition believed by atheists.

  • as Neil Tyson said, we can explain tides, better if O'Reily came up with a question that scientists cant yet answer.

  • awesome

  • People hold on to their religious myths like children hold on to there blanket.

    How sad for humanity.

  • Atheism is the highest moral and societal position to take as a Human. Everything else is cowardly. The need for an invisible imaginary friend on which to blame your bad behavior is destructive and frankly it defines the fools from the Humans. Atheism=Human, religionist= idiot fool coward

  • @699backstab I disagree. I know atheists who hold different, yet not theistic beliefs that can cause harmful moral and societal effects. If anything I'd up atheism by one with scepticism as a whole. Why disbelieve only the one god when you can disbelieve ALL the superstitions :p

  • bill o'reilly - genius at logic - tide goes in tide goes out... LOL

  • Turns on FOX, lies come out. Never a miscommunication. YOU can't explain that.

  • My hands are bleeding, can I stop applauding now?

  • @FHomeBrew Stigmata! :)

  • now this is a prophet I can believe in.

  • Go David! He has such wit and composure.

  • Hooray for David Silverman. Theists don't like it, but we need to get just a little bit more confrontational.

  • Right now of posting this comment is 4:10PM PST on Sun. 1/22/2012. Around 14 minutes ago, I came to MagicSandwich on BlogTV, but then within several minutes, I found out that I was too late to see the live show.

I hope next time I will come to the show on time.

  • I love him.

Did I call you a fool?

    You came close!

    You said delusional!

    Yes, delusional (poker face)

  • Stupidity in an authority position, religion in a nutshell.

  • Yay!

  • He's right, I can't explain either how someone like O'Reilly could be so stupid to not spend 5 mins Googling 'tides' to find out how the tide works.

  • @savedenewt or magnets

  • I have a new hero!

  • @TheoreticalPixies actually i am in no way anti-semitic. but i am not blind. jews always gang up on others. it is no secret. their code is that other jews always come first. but when someone dares mention it he is an anti-semite?

  • Maybe he meant "Dow goes up, Dow goes down".

  • Bill must have skipped 6th grade science.

  • @usmc451 Does he even know how to write? I would be surprised!

  • Why does Bill O'reilly keep using the tide goes in tide goes out argument? I've seen more than a hand ful of people explain this to him clearly, including Richard Dawkins. Geeez...

  • "Tide goes in tide goes out... you can't explain that!" O'Reilly, pick up a science book, you fucking idiot!

  • That's actually not the first time O'Reilly has used the tide going in and out to justify his belief in an imaginary friend. I heard him say it before. It's simply the moon's gravitational forces that cause the phenomena.

So many people believe in gods because of their lack of knowledge about the origin of our universe, evolution, etc. Believing in gods simply because we don't have all the answers is unacceptable in 2012!

  • EPIC FACE. "Are you SERIOUSLY suggesting we don't know how the fucking TIDES work?!"

  • I love that look he gives O'Reily, what are you fucking retarded?

  • "Tide goes in, tide goes out" is proof of something alright :)

Its proof someone needs to make me a ham sammich.

Note to Fox - the tides have been explained a very long time ago - there is no mystery about them any more than why a day has light and dark periods.

  • @berenjervin I'm thinking even the nut jobs at fox facepalmed when O'Reily said that.

  • @cvanunen

The palm goes up, the palm comes down :)

  • @berenjervin Lol!

  • Willful ignorance. Religion works like a drug. It clouds the harshness of reality and makes you happy. Take away an addicts heroin and he gets pissed off. Take away a week minded (tides go in and tides go out, you got no explanation" -- Jesus fucking Christ on a cracker what a fucking moron) fools "drug" and he will get pissed off as well. Religion is a way to control the stupid people in this world so they are happy while the smart people have a life.

  • @HodadWah Atheism is also a drug. It clouds the reality of the maker known as Jehovah and tells lies. Take away atheism and you get a better world filled with the joys of the word of Christ our Lord and Savior. You get everlasting life-

  • @ARepublicanVictory the joys of the word of christ? Like raping a virgin and being forced to marry her, or executing people for working on sunday? Are these to joys of the word of Christ you are talking about?

  • @ARepublicanVictory "Take away atheism and you get a better world filled with the joys of the word of Christ our Lord and Savior."

Yeah, that's what the Church tried to do centuries ago - murdering those who committed blasphemy and/or denied God through mere words or scientific discoveries. It was an all-encompassing religious atmosphere with objectors, like atheists, successfully oppressed. We now refer to that period as "the Dark Ages."

  • @TheoreticalPixies Atheism is full of selfish bullshit. There are worlds that range from subatomic to multi dimensional. There is a creator behind all of it, that includes the universes that we live in. It is DUMB to say that no God did this. By the way Scholasticism, Colleges, the Guilds as well--all of that stuff was jump started by the Church after the Bubonic plague destroyed much of the talent in Europe.

  • @ARepublicanVictory One question: Who created God?

  • @DAngelo136 Unknowable-

That is beyond my life Grade-

  • @ARepublicanVictory The only truthful answer anyone on Earth can give.

  • Billo: The shit goes in, the shit goes out

  • @ARepublicanVictory and this is why religion is referred to as the opium of the masses,

  • @ARepublicanVictory what is reality to you? I consider things to be real when they are testable replicable and falsafiable thus making them real

  • @ARepublicanVictory What the hell does that prove? That Barna Group in biased?? We already knew that! "this just in! Results from a study conducted by a group of pseudo-scientists disagree with you shows that you are a horrible person!" O RLY?!? Unbelievable.

  • @HomageofReason Bama group does not fold under the pressures of anti family groups or sick perverts who say that they will sue. Such is the APA who declassified sodomy as not being a sickness which inhibit gays and lesbians.

  • I love the look on Silverman's face when Bill O'Reilly commences his bullshit about the tides. We need more tigers like DS who can dispense with timidity and just come out and lay down some hard truth.

  • Does Bill know what the moon is?

  • There is no good that comes with arguing with ignorance!

  • I knew of silverman before the meme and at first I thought it was Di Caprio from Inception

  • Not possessing a religious basis for morality, atheists are fundamentally incapable of having a coherent system of morality which is based on the worldview of atheism (see: Atheism and morality). The Barna Group found that atheists and agnostics in America were more likely, than theists in America, to look upon the following behaviors as morally acceptable: illegal drug use; excessive drinking; sexual relationships outside of marriage; abortion; cohabitating with someone, illicit sexual activity

  • @ARepublicanVictory A christian-based research firm concluded that atheists aren't moral? Shocking.

  • @usmc451 Atheists are not really moral people. They love abortion. They think that a fetus is nothing more than a lup of flesh. They do not mind immoral pervrted ideas because being an atheist means having no real consequences, it goes on.

  • lolwut?

  • @ARepublicanVictory I'm sensing a lot of projection on your part, mabey you should go see a shrink

  • @ARepublicanVictory Christopher Hitchens, an atheist, believed in the sanctity of life within the womb. I'm sure that there are other atheists who share that view, so your assertion is definitely not true. Besides, the vast majority of inmates in prisons believe in God, less than 1% of prisoners declared themselves atheist. Can I infer from that fact that theists are the ones without morals? After all, morality and the threat of eternal damnation should be enough of a

  • @DAngelo136 In 2010, the Gallup organization reported that 40% of Americans believe in young earth creationism. In January 2006, the BBC reported concerning Britain:

“ Just under half of Britons accept the theory of evolution as the best description for the development of life, according to an opinion poll.

Furthermore, more than 40% of those questioned believe that creationism or intelligent design (ID) should be taught in school science lessons.

  • @ARepublicanVictory Once upon a time, mankind believed in fairies, elves, and dragons. People also believed that the sun revolved around the moon and the earth was flat. And to demonstrate the corrosive and debilitating effect that religion has, I point to the case of Hypatia, the Greek philospher and mathemetician who lived in Roman Egypt and was the librarian of Alexandria. She was killed by a Christian mob led by "Peter the Reader"(talk about an oxymoron)

  • @DAngelo136 Weak arguments to debunk Christianity. Jesus did none of these things.

  • @ARepublicanVictory she was knocked from her chariot, stripped naked, dragged through the streets and after she died, her remains were burned. Afterward they looted and burned the library of Alexandria, where classic writing from Greek philosophers were lost forever. Ironically, the same Greek philosophers the Christian church based their view of the universe on. I bring that up every time I hear a Christian yammer on about persecution under the Romans, I also bring up

  • @DAngelo136 Still meaningless-

  • @ARepublicanVictory the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the extermination of natives in Mexico and other places in the Western Hemisphere, burnings, tortures and witchhunts. In a nutshell: people are stupid; even moreso when religion is involved.

  • @DAngelo136 Muslims threatened Christianity like they do NOW. Spanish Inquisition was done by the Spanish ONLY. Mexcians were exterminating themselves long before the Spanish came. Burnings, tortures and witchhunts happened without the aid of Christianity. Atheists have killed 50-100,000,000 people.

  • @ARepublicanVictory Whoa, what orifice did you pull that figure out of? 50m people killed by atheists? Even if we assume this as fact, it's known that Hitler was Christian by birth, and influenced by Christianity until his death, and he was either directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of 50m people. Religion=death. Look at the European middle ages; whole armies killed because kings had divine inspiration to do so, biblical "doctors" drilling holes in people's heads, the crusades.

  • @RequiemFear Atheist moron, Atheist militantcy has been responsible for more deaths than any religion. China's "Greap Leap Forward" killed between 20-30,000,000 Chinese. The Chinese Civil War started by Communists killed millions as well. The Japanese killed millions of people during WW2. They were NOT Christian. Pol Pot was responsible for the "Killing Fields" where millions of people die. HEATHEN COMMUNISM has been responsible for more deaths. ATHEISM IS EVIL, SELFISH AND LIFELESS.

  • @ARepublicanVictory You seriously need to get some psychological help.

  • Comment removed

  • @ARepublicanVictory Hell is a concept that I don't believe in. Furthermore it hasn't been proved at all, except in your little two thousand year old book. Pretty hard to go to a place that doesn't exist.

  • @RequiemFear Hell is more than a concept. It can not be proven by human science. You will go there, so you do not have to believe in it. You will burn forever, foolish atheist idiot. Just because you do not believe in the Devil does not mean he does not believe in your dumb ass.

  • @ARepublicanVictory Right... back to the asylum you go...

  • @RequiemFear You will burn forever, foolish atheist idiot.

  • @ARepublicanVictory I don't believe in hell, your words are empty to me.

On the other hand, your existence is very much real, and I feel sorry you will waste your life in pointless ritual and belief that will lead you nowhere. Quite frankly, a god who could inspire so much war and hatred within a species can go fuck himself, you worship a tyrant no better than Hitler himself, burn in your own miserable bullshit.

  • @ARepublicanVictory deterrent, right?

  • @ARepublicanVictory cohabitating with someone is considered an immoral act by ANYONE?

YOU JUST BROKE THE INTERWEBZ GO BACK TO GRADE SCHOOL YOU FAIL TROLL.

  • @subnoize123 Out of wedlock sex is wrong, sleeping around is wrong. You are a lowly sinner who approves of doing wrong. You have a special place in HELL.

  • @ARepublicanVictory Why are the acts you described moraly wrong?

  • @ARepublicanVictory A study of Christians shows that 99% of them get their moral code from the Holy Bible. Whichs means while atheist are ok with sex, living with people we love, and the rights of women. Christians are ok with genocide, rape, slavery, child sacrifice....the list goes on. Therefore I'm a little more cautious when I'm around Christians, cause ya never know when your moral lessons are going to surface.

  • @cvanunen Atheists have killed more people in human history than ANYONE. Stalin, Guevera, Moa Tse Tsung, Pol Pot, Castro are all atheists. Estimated kill no. 25,000,000-250,000,000.

Atheists are ok with rape because of a lack of morality set forth by GOD. The list goes on. Child sacrifice and slavery occured in Christian Godless Africa and South America.

  • @ARepublicanVictory the only reason they were able to have so many killed was due to indoctrination, dogma, coercion and mob rule mentality, basically all the things that make up a religion these individual never killed in the name of atheis, they killed for the interest of the "state" unlike religion which on its own is motive enough for people to kill, by the way well over 6 million and he was Catholic, also he used chritianity as a catalyst for many of those killings

  • @ARepublicanVictory By the way Hitler had well over 6 million Jews as well as other marginalised groups killed and he was Catholic,

  • :thefuck:

  • @topperheartramada Atheism(the lack of belief in proposed gods) has no dogma, it doesnt tell you what to do, where as the bible does and the quran and the torah do. Think for yourselfs people, discuss moral action, should we sometimes abort when its going to kill the mother, sometimes is it necessary to commit murder, clearly it is otherwise we should just leave all the genocide dictators across the world to continue theyre mass slaughter and abuse of their people.

  • He needs a slogan

"I came here to screw with theists and chew bubble gum and im all out gum"

  • OMG :OOOOOO

  • I live in Oklahoma and I just walk around with that face all day so I don't have to keep doing it over and over.

  • So we get a Jew to teach us atheism. Great choice. I guess when they are not busy making tons of money, Jews have a second career path, that of an intellectual/activist, teaching us what we should be thinking.

  • @topperheartramada WTF? What is wrong with making money or being smart? Those are good things. What are you on about?

  • @wearealltubes I'm talking about being sick of Jews showing up everywhere and running things for us. They have a remarkable ability to be in charge of things, and they are so good at doing favors for each other. Where there's one Jew, there's another. And another. And another ten. And so on. As long as thereæs prestige and money involved, of course. I am sick of them and their mutual back-scratching. They are like a mafia.

  • @topperheartramada Replace "Jew" with "man," and you sound like an insane feminist. As it is, you just sound like an insane anti-Semite.

  • That look is priceless! I was bewildered as well when first hearing the 'tide goes out' thing.

  • hey look its a plane .....no it's SIVLERMANNNNNNNN, we're saved

  • Just close your eyes and say Silverman.... doesn't it sound like a superhero name? :D

  • I like what I've seen. Especially the knockout blow to "NOOOO" lady, and his utterly bemused face at the Tides comment.

And I especially like that with his nice suit, the cleanly trimmed goatee, the slicked back hair and the kind face... he looks exactly like how I've always pictured Satan.

  • @beriukay "he looks exactly like how I've always pictured Satan" ...that is bloody hilarious. Nice one!

  • love david silverman!

  • epic

  • yikes, took me a while to come across this video. One thing that runs through my head is "God helps those who help themselves" ? well..that includes a lot of natural problems.

  • Silverman is awesome. He doesn't tip-toe around. Instead, he ignores the ridiculous taboo that unfortunately precludes MANY doubters, skeptics, atheists, etc. from so blatantly pointing out that when it comes to religion.... the Emperor has no clothes. It is all mythology.

  • Lol I like how he is so blunt with them. He makes it so simple for them yet they still don't understand.

  • I just love the "Wow, Bill O'Reilly really is a complete effing idiot" look on his face after the comment about the tides.

  • I don't like Silverman. He comes off too strong and kind of makes the rest of us look bad, especially him being President of American Atheists. It seems like he tries too hard to make them look stupid. I do agree with him on everything, but he should still learn how to communicate nicer.

  • @jimbo0392 He makes it easier for the theists who say we're all gnostic atheists.

  • Soooo, he is NOT the one who sent the huricane, and he is not willing to stop it. Very good point indeed.

  • His voice is sort of a voice from someone who is from a society free of the absurdities of religion and he just takes that voice and demonstrates how absurd our "everyday, ingrained" beliefs in gods are. Just beautiful.

  • So this is 3pm Eastern Time correct.

  • Food goes in, poop comes out, never a missed communication. Bill, you can't explain that. Can't explain why your god thought this was the best of all possible ideas.

  • @DarkSanctuaryBBS Did you see Silverman's face? That was the classic, "what the fuck is wrong you idiot" look. Ha! Ha!

  • tide goes in, tides goes out.... it occurs rarely that i have to laugh that hard....

  • Silverman: "Is your god sending a hurricane this way?"

    Woman:NOOOOOOOO

    Sliverman:"Can he stop it"

    Woman:"NOOOOOOOO"

Sliverman: "than he not all powerful"

He owned them on that one and it was funny the was that woman was saying no

  • Silverman; Is your god sending a hurricane this way?

    Woman: NOOO!!!!!

Silverman: Could he stop the hurricane from coming?

    Woman: NOOO!!!!!!

Silverman: Then he's not omnipotent. PWNED

  • O'Reilly's pants fall down. O'Reilly's pants get pulled up. You can't explain that.

  • Tide goes in - Tide goes out

Religion goes in - Reason goes out

  • i wanna buy david a beer

  • Now that's a man I'd love to meet.

  • At least we're going to hear from the man himself. Too bad the opposition can't say the same.

  • This is as good as it gets :-)

  • I do not hate religions or religious people....I pity them. I pity their lack of courage to face mortality for what it is - a GIFT! Eternal life would be torment beyond measure. A lifetime of lifetimes of lifetimes into infinity is monstrous when your REALLY think about it. Your life has immediacy and urgency and yes PURPOSE because it will end and because you will die. There is no celestial do-over or eternal recess coming. Face it, embrace it and LIVE FEARLESSLY!

  • Oh Silverman, such a lovable rage-face, up there with Me-Gusta and Trollface.

  • Cool. Never realised he's the 'Are you serious?' guy.

  • god he's such a dick, but a lovable dick.

  • His face at the end is like: Am I talking to a fucking Mickey Mouse character?!

  • 'Tide goes in, tide goes out, you can't explain that.'

That was an epic WTF face by Silverman.

  • @kanmoreti

What aspect don't you like? What do you mean by "most correct"?
