Hi was researchn n thinkin bout picking up a Jamis Dakar Bam 2.0 for $900 from local c.list,
Im fairly new w DH and into it right now the bam 2.0 i found was in great condition 2009 and it comes w fox dhx 5.0 and 180mm bomber forks are these parts all usually stock from bam2? any input or suggestion regarding this specific bike would b awesome bro i heard the frames tend to b weak n tend to crack on specific points just from reading some reviews on it online, what do u think?
@pax502 no problems with the frame at all. i rode it pretty good for about 6 months. the frame size is small and i weigh about a buck fifty. i know the 2008's had the problematic rear chainstays, which is where they were breaking. i knew this when i bought the bike, but the dealer assured me that they hadnt seen any broken frames on the 2009 models. all in all, i think this was a great bike.
@skaterasf my friend hade the 2010 and it broke 3 times on the rear brake side chianstays, but hes going to up grade to the bam 1, like wat they us at diablo
I just bought the 09 parker 1 from jensons, also got instant replacement cassette, chain, and cranks, and brakes will be following shortly, how do you like the bike so far?

i think Jamis sorted out the frame breakage issue....well i hope they did as i just ordred the parker 1 from jensonusa.
i was going to get the parker 2, but only have a rear derailur turned me away from it.

did you ever have probles with the frame snaping all my friends got that bike and they did
