Too Dark Park still best live concert I have seen (Toronto). The encore was apologised for being unprepared, and then band proceeded to kick ass. Theatrical genius. Remember fans grabbing shards of David's blood-soaked discarded shirt at end of show.

oooh, I just stumbled over this, brings back memories..... I was standing in the crowd at that festival, totally mesmerized. I had not even heard about this band before, didnt know a single song and was still overwhelmed by the performance. Still this many years later, I think that was the best concert I have ever been to. They are one of my all time favourites now. <3

What's so great about Puppy is that their music gets even better live, where most bands sound a lot better on record.

They really go for the full experience, studio recording, incredible live sound and unmatched visual performance as if the music itself wasn't enough.

Saw em live last night in St Pete, after 20+ years they're still blowing minds and their sound hasn't aged a day.

I speculate that Ledger's portrayal of the joker was influenced by the portrayal of Ogre, and its lesser imitation (still great) in early Reznor shows. NIN toured with Skinny Puppy, don't get me wrong I love NIN but it seems like NIN is basically skinny puppy with a more regular beat and choruses lol.

Ogre is able to mix beautiful, mysterious, and yet strong and progressive music with the image of a twisted, tortured creature from some other dimension in his live performances. I first heard about Skinny Puppy in '89 from a Hamgurg exchange student in Vancouver, as well as Front242 but it wasnt where my crowd was at at the time. Since then Ive enjoyed listening to rammstein and nin and when I first watched this vid I was really impressed, its a first rate performance! Thanks for upping it deadmmore!

I think you're kind of missing the point. It's electronic music to begin with where the drums are different in every song. To keep the character of that song, yeah, you do need a little bit of the backing track with the sound of the original drums. Justin still plays the entire drum pattern note for note and the majority of what you do hear is him playing. I've seen him play at 6 different shows and I can assure you he is an extremely talented drummer who has supreme control over SP's drums.

And if you want to open up comparisons, take Nine Inch Nails for example. Same relative "genre" but much more popular and notable in pop culture. They played several songs at their last tour such as "The Warning" completely just a backing track of drums while Josh Freese sat out the entire song. Legendary Pink Dots don't even USE a drummer yet that doesn't detract from their performance. Your comment is basically negative without much basis to saying it. It's electronic, expect a backing track.
