@TheEhnoah They're not solo-raids. In fact, raids cannot be solo by definition. There will be story-focused solo instances/dungeons called Chronicles, which may reward expert dungeon gear.

Keep in mind that for a new Lv 50 character, you'll likely still need 1-3 other friends to survive. As a expert dungeon geared character, you might be able to do it solo, or with 1-2 friends. As a raid geared player you can do it solo for sure. Basically, group quests turned into a dungeon with a story :)

I've been playing WoW For around four years now and just started playing Rift, I really really like it, While it's not the BEST NEXT GEN MMO. To say, It's very very well done, and in this kind of mmo market that is very hard to do at the time being. It's very fun, while holding some aspects to WoW, It's very polished and has it's own unique tools to make it stand out. What I also love about Rift is that the devs actually reward you for exploring the world around you. A+ Game in my book.

@dorkenator5 Wrong. Rift has had *sales* for 20 dollar copies or 25 for Collectors (compared to 40-50+ normally). These include 30 days of game time, and then you must pay for the subscription.

The sales for 5 or 10 dollar copies do NOT include the game time, which would cost 15 dollars if you went month-to-month, bringing it on par with the other sales of 20-25 dollars.

Therefore, Rift costs 20 dollars at least (normal-game sale), and 50-55 dollars at most (Collectors normal price).

I've gotta agree with MZGriffith on this one. Rift is challenging - you can't solo everything that happens around you. It's also the most fun I've had in PvP for a VERY, very long time. The problem with WoW is that it got so big, they stopped giving a damn about their playerbase. There is a 70 page complaint thread on the forums right now about how terrible class balance is - and the GMs aren't listening to a word of it. Sad.
