Tommy was paid initially to be a Ace's cover (he do this job since the youth, it's not a problem to him), and then this job realized, be himself in the band is a improbable thing.
Eric S is different to Peter but that dosn't strictly mean one was better than the other. They are both great, they just have different styles. But as for Tommy, now HE IS a blatant rip off of Ace. We love Ace Frehley!!!

I'm no drummer, but it looks to me like Eric Singer's drumming style is much more labored than, say, Eric Carr's. To me, it looks like Singer is hunting for the right drum, while Carr just kinda flowed through all the songs.
I am sorry but "hunting for the right drum" is not anything any drummer does. Drumming is hardly which drum you hit.
Eric Singer's qualities that got him this job are his preciceness, every stroke is solid and just as strong as it needs to be, and every note has the perfect duration, in other words solid time.
He has a perfect sound which is vital to the groove, what he is there for.

This line-up is one of the greatest. Tommy and Eric fits KISS very good. It's not their fault, they get paid for copying Ace and Peter. But Tommy and Eric are better than original members as playing their own instruments. -92 line-up's is also great. Unmasked KISS was cooler as looks but show is better with the masks. Eric and Tommy would be very nice, if they could get their own masks and costumes and not have to copy perfoming style of Criss and Frehley.

Every member of KISS brought something new to the band. Every KISS line-up is brilliant because no matter what era, there was always that same vibe and energy that KISS always deliver. As for Black Diamond, it is my favourite KISS song and I love hearing every KISS drummer sing it, they all sound great. I think Eric Singer has the best voice out of the 3 ( RIP Eric Carr) but no one can beat Peter Criss on vocals for that song

The one thing that irks me about Eric Singer is how he took some of Eric Carr's style and some of Peter Criss' style and just kind of mashed it up together. Sometimes, his drumming feels forced to me, like he is trying not to do it a certain way and just meet in the middle of the two former drummers.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the lead guitarist get down on knees and play the solo while Gene and Paul both rock towards the lead guitarist... just like Ace used to do?

well... i think with peter the song sounds better but eric was good.....also gene's hair like on the elder so funny.......paul stanley is one of the best rock stars live he has a good voice.....

Every member of KISS brought something new to the band. Every KISS line-up is brilliant because no matter what era, there was always that same vibe and energy that KISS always deliver. As for Black Diamond, it is my favourite KISS song and I love hearing every KISS drummer sing it, they all sound great. I think Eric Singer has the best voice out of the 3 ( RIP Eric Carr) but no one can beat Peter Criss on vocals for that song

i don't think one is better than other, they are just different: Peter sings a little lower than eric singer, who screams more than criss.

You's are all wrong Its not the matter whos better it genre all different members brang a different genre to the band which made Kiss so unique Personally i prefer the original line up better but everyone is entitled too their own opinion i dont mind Kiss when whoever is in it Kiss is Kiss.

Eric Singer is a pretty good singer. Very clean voice. Of course he's no match for Paul Stanley's superior singing ability.
KISS is awesome and i SERIOUSLY hope they decide to go through with that US tour next Summer.

Two things:
1. This wasn't their best concert ever, but this performance was the best of it to me.
2. Say what you want about this lineup, but they nailed 'Black Diamond' to the wall - awesome!

The one thing that irks me about Eric Singer is how he took some of Eric Carr's style and some of Peter Criss' style and just kind of mashed it up together. Sometimes, his drumming feels forced to me, like he is trying not to do it a certain way and just meet in the middle of the two former drummers.

Ace was not able to do play the solo on his knees during the psycho circus and farewell tour because he injured his knee during the reuinion tour.
