Truly, this is deeply moving. Now imagine how the party would feel (I, myself, would be like this): your "loved one" being killed in front of you, with a music theme that is bound to a bit of sadness and the psychological pressure upon you by having witnessed that and the sadistic smile of your arch-nightmare. I would never win this fight, especially against Jenova, would be impossible to even have a will to raise my sword.

I remember this was the very first thing I ever saw of final fantasy, and the one thing I never forgot.... I mean I always wanted cloud with Tifa but Aeris dying was just terrible. Kafka my have been the evilest villain, but he'll never be as hated as Sephiroth....

I remember hating myself for this part because i invested so much in the aeris character emotionally. Just like ff3 with Celes character. However this one just took it to another level. I dont consider this ff the best one, but it sure was worth the tears and sleep sacrifice i made.

Both the Celes suicide attempt and Aeris death scenes are unparalled. I wouldn't place one above the other. Though the fact that they play her theme as you engage Jenova is something that i believe is unmatched in any FF battle. Even whilst facing Jenova, the sorrow is still evident, and the music just reinforces that further.

this boss is so easy all u need is 1 water ring then all of her attacks heal the player wait until she runs out of mp then she cant do anything and then just attack her

hmmm i cant seem to kill the boss as soon as the battle starts it uses aqualung killing tifa and putting cloud and barrett at about 300-400hp and then i get off 1 potion and the boss uses it again and starts spamming attacks making me die

I never felt anything on this scene...at all, because Aeris wasn't developed enough for me to care about her.Seriously, it was so dramatic yet they all barely knew her! it's like the story on Final Fantasy IV where they just keep adding characters and killing them and that's it (I know it's not exactly like that here), it's like they just met and they already formed this relationship (friends, love etc) out of nowhere. This is why I like FFVI and FFVIII more than VII, it's still a great game tho

I have to be honest; I wasn't anywhere approaching tears when this happened on my first FFVII experience but I was shocked and seriously impressed with the boldness of it and just a little hacked off as I'd been levelling Aeris up. At the end though, Sephiroth got KOTR up his ass in payback! Without doubt, my favourite game of all time and the best FF.

Awesome part of the game ! The saddest part and the beginning of a new journey for Aerith. Her death was needed in the story even if it's very sad and heartbreaking ( for us *well, if you like her at least*, for Cloud and the others characters are quite upset ). I think that aside Cloud, Yuffie and Tifa goodbyes to Aerith are the most touching.

Aerith is dead, but she's not completely gone (her will is very strong and she's a Ancient too). The main theme of this game is life after all.
