Saw these guys in 1968 in Atlanta with Jimi Hendrix. Believe me, they kicked f*cking ass and came back a few months later with the Vanilla Fudge and did it again, stealing the show. This was my fave song, even tho the Journey to the Center of the Mind was their big hit. It's amazing the old boy Nugent is still kicking ass these days, altho I'd have never believe that he would've made that hard right turn.

The last thing we need is more political correctness these days. Like Charlie Daniels, Nugent is skewered in some quarters. I was in Nashville at the Country Freedom Concert right after 9/11 and the promoters pulled CDB at the last minute because they feared he would be ranting on live TV. No guts.
