@braska19 Some Aussies are born without a tail, but in most cases the tail is docked when they are puppies. The main purpose is to prevent injuries when they are herding.
Cute! All-Star Mini Aussies in Southern California has trained Mini Aussie puppies available now! Come see their amazing tricks videos!! They do come, sit, shake, high five, wave, down, and roll over! We train all of our puppies before they go home!
@akkimam Having an Aussie myself, maybe I can answer this one for you, my dog also has a docked tail. The reason: I wanted a dog from a respectable breeder, in a proper environment for Aussies. Most good breeders live on small farms and dock the tails for safety. I know, it may look a little cruel, but when I see my Aussie taking a 5 ft high jump to catch a Frisbee and does an "emergency" landing on his butt, I'm happy that he has a docked tail!!
Do miniatures have more/less health concerns than regular aussies? And is shedding the same? I am looking to adopt one and so far I haven't found any book with the title "miniature australian shepherds lol. Any information would be greatly appreciated!!
aww this reminds me off my toy aussie pup when he plays with my boyfriends cats. He was neutered today so hes spending the night at the vets and i'm missing him. :(
I use to have an Aussie/German Shepard mix, but I had to get rid of him when moved. But I can't wait to get my new Mini Aussie next year X3 Your's are very cute by the way!
is the mini aussie just a samller aussie?
