@amc2525 not really the Drill Segeants at BCT are always on your ass about something, but once you graduate and go to AIT they can be pretty chill depending on which AIT you have. This is intelligence AIT so the Sergeants and other NCOs are pretty chill and all but at infantry AIT its still a pretty structured environment, you are just treated better because you arnt a recruit anymore
The problem with the army, is that there are different standards wherever you go. Some units set the standards high, and expect every Soldier to act like soldiers, and maintain their military bearing. Other units, unfortunatly, do not have high standards, and are way relaxed, and then this shit happens. Even more unfortunate, is that this is a training unit, the very place to learn what military bearing is. It's embarassing to the Army, it really is.
Does anybody remember the mortar instructor back in Fort Benning circa 2002-2003 who used to say, "I don't ever wanna hear anyone say hooah, that's what them hookers say in Victory Drive (aka V.D. drive). HAHA.

I went to OSUT training FLW for MP school 3 years ago. Its pretty easy now days but nothing like this. That's what happens when the army doesnt have a universal standard for how to conduct yourself even if you do your AIT at another post. 9 weeks of lame basic and your already acting like your permanent party in AIT. These are the times when you really learn and maintain your military bearing and professionalism. Dont mean to be an ass, just dont think things should be this relaxed.
Its at Ft Hauchuca, AZ AIT... Intel's AITs pretty much treat you like adults with a lot of privileges, and all the cadre are laid back (some too much)
discharge platoon. lots and lots of broke dicks. because in real bct we dont act like that around ds or sergeants. i had the unfortunate pleasure of being in hhc at flw, mo.
Was not the discharge platoon, was the senior platoon in the AIT class. Half the people werent PTing because we didn't have to and we just wanted to go to bed.
