Axl Rose is indeed an asshole, but he's getting some undeserved flak here. Guns N' Roses does not have much of a connection to Iron Maiden, Kiss or any Metal band from that era...because Guns N' Roses was a Hard Rock band. They're more closely linked to Led Zeppelin and even Motorhead than any of the Metal bands from the 80s. That being said, I like Maiden a fuck of a lot more than Guns N' Roses. Too bad Rose destroyed that band. They had some good stuff.

I was never really all that much of a kiss fan, other than liking a couple of their riffs and being really into ace freely but other than that I was never really into them. I've always been into bands that were musically proficient and the music was first rather than the image, but in saying that I don't think their's anything wrong with bands who a more show than go.
