  • you should update the midi file from Finale and have someone who knows how to do Drum arrangements if you don't add it. It's a good song. I would look to selling the arrangement to one of the arrangement companies so that it can be legitimized through their license if they buy it. Also speed up the tempo, it sound like it's down at 90 speed it up to 120 or 148 see what it sounds like and if it matches up to the original.

  • Did you get the rights to arrange? Cool if you did, just be careful about putting arrangements up in the web that you do not have the rights for. Technically if you arrange something without permission you are breaking the law, but no one will care if it is just on your computer. It gets sketchy when it is up on the web.

  • not good enough with out the drums

  • could i have this midi file ?

  • Please post the new version with drums soon!!! (this comment from a drummer)

  • The melody is written a half a beat behind. I dont know if that was intentional or not but it kinda throws me off

  • It's just slow

  • the melody? Did you record them at different times?

  • Oh and I would leave out the drums for the woodwind break. But that's me. Do whatever you want man =)

  • Thanks for the advice, unfortunantly I had to cut it down to just a verse and a chorus for the standtune, so I will see what I can do,this is the Canyon del Oro in Tucson

  • (cont...) This would fit well after the drum break. Then bring the brass back in and after a run or two of the chorus, finish it strong with energy! Is this the Canyon Del Oro in Tucson?

  • U of A and ASU's marching bands combined and did this show last year. It's really cool! The only thing I would say is to pass off the melody to different sections and not leave it to the trumpets the whole time. Maybe have a softer section with just woodwinds. Have the melody and a counter melody with harmony parts also. Give them a time to shine by showing off a nice solid woodwind-choir kind of sound using the saxes to put an edge on it even though it's a bit softer. (cont. on next comment)

  • he's a trumpet so its doubtful that would happen :P

  • wow! thats sooo good!

  • did you fix the clarinet part that was way high? lol
