The issue I have with shows like this is that they over dramatise the situation. For all we know the kids weren't due out of class for hours, or it happened during the weekend.

@ 0:33 the deputy made a senseless move by not paying attention to the bus coming and pulling in front of it. The PIT also went wrong. Honestly though it's not easy pitting a vehicle especially in traffic. I never had to do it but I've been trained.

So, they have a helicopter following the van, whose main (and probably only) reason for driving so fast and so erratically is that he's being pursued. What do they do?
a) Fall back, use that nifty thing called a "radio", and plan on how to cut him off while the helicopter keeps tabs,
or (b) act like testosterone crazed cowboys and add to the danger by continuing pursuit in residential neighbourhoods then ramming the truck into bystanders?
Sometimes I have to wonder about their priorities.

Whats the big deal? insurance pays out for the damage and no civillians were hurt. Cops take a guy like that off the street who is clearly unstable and a danger to the public 24/7. Yeah that incident with the bus is totally on the bus driver. He would have heard sirens and been alerted over his radio. But what does it matter people will still try to blame these things on the men who give their lives to keep us safe. Also, watch this video more carefully. The cop had plenty of chances to spin the car out earlier when there weren't as many cars on the road. I mean, he pulled up next to the guy to talk to him! If the guy wanted to talk he would have pulled over. When he finally decides to ram him in order to "protect the swarms of children on the crosswalk" he hits him in such a way that he was guaranteed to hit the innocent truck, and could have possibly killed him.

That whole situation was insane. Once they realized they were chasing the guy into a school zone they should have BACKED OFF. If there weren't 20 cop cars chasing the guy he would have slowed down and they could have blocked off his routes toward the school. They're lucky nobody was killed in the crash because the families would have sued for an ass load of money and that cop would lose his badge. And that cop who almost crashed into the school bus is reckless, these people need more training.

some of the worst driving by a police officer ive ever seen. first, he should have stopped for that school bus, he almost hit that bus, not the suspect. that was extremely reckless, b/c u can see hesitation, then he guns it to beat the bus which had to panic stop. then he loses control of his patrol car after he pits the suv? what were they doing? 40-50 mph? should be no problem for an "expert driver" to keep it together after a low speed pit like that. waste of money b/c that car is junk

The officer is fishtailing. And uh oh.. This is the wrong way to do a pitt maneuver, he did it when a white pickup truck was on the left side of the suspect vehicle and when the pitt attempt was made, the officer lost control of his own vehicle, creating a semi spin out while the suspect vehicle did a nasty rollover. Thank god, nobody was seriously injured or it would have been a whole lot worse.
