My cat stole a plastic bag of expensive fresh shrimp out of a shopping bag right after I returned from the market. He hid it behind and inside the washing machine. It was a miracle I found it.

@Tatooinedragracer Actually that isn't true. Cats mouths do not have any dangerous bacteria. In fact its the exact opposite. Cat Saliva is known to have some antiseptic properties.

If you had never fed that bread to him he wouldn't have a craving for it. Bread is not good for him. He's a carnivore. And by not scolding him when he grabs the bread from the table you are training him that it's okay to take the bread. When he chews through the plastic bag to get to the bread he may swallow a piece of plastic and it could cause and ubstruction in his throat or intestines or just accumulate in his stomach. Do you want your cat to have a stomach full of plastic?

I have a few videos of my Tuxedo as well. Of all the cats I've seen, the tuxedo marked cats are the most determined to do the complete opposite of what you want them to do. Tux has a strange fascination with getting into bread and buns as well. He's never been so brazen as to steal them and run, he just looks at me and says, "so what are you gonna do about it?"

I read a long time ago that chewing on plastic can get a cat high.  I have no idea if that's actually true but one of my cats licks plastic bags whenever she gets near one. I bet your little monster also like the texture of biting into that roll. Really cute video.
