Actually the big females produce more eggs. Shooting the big ones is terrible for the fish populations. Talk to your local DAR guys and they'll tell ya... shoot the small ones for food and let the big ones go on to make even more babies. Gunning for big ones only satisfies your ego when you should be worried about satisfying your stomach.

I find that if you get some nice footage of a large fish, it dissapates one's desire to shoot it.

I ask that trophy hunters learn how to use a camera, and leave the spearfishing to the subsistance fishermen who are in touch with the local environments, fish populations, habitats and ecology.

there's so many times in a single dive that i see loads of baby goats... very rarely will you see massive 4 or 5 pounders... and even when you do, they're take their time approaching you UNLIKE the little ones

actually i wasnt thinking of 4-5 pound goats, Im talking BIG dog and cubera snappers. I know a handful of holes filled with biguns and I wouldn't dream of taking them...thats just my outlook because those big females lay a LOT of eggs which is important for future local stocks.
