This is from the Rockpalast Festival at Loreley. was a TV broadcast. and it gives me great shivers down the spine! i wish i could find the afghan solo piece he played there. was that an electric rebab?
David Lindley is one of the best rock & roll musicians ever. We saw El Rayo-X in Raleigh, NC in 1987 at the Rialto Theater--oh my God! I saw Hendrix at the Atlanta Pop Festival in 1970 and El Rayo-X concert beat it all, then and now. THANKS bankan01 for posting this!!! Do you have any more? This made us really happy tonight.
Bankan, you asked in a newsgroup about Mister Dave's guitar. It appears to be a double 6-string made by Valco, probably branded as a Supro but could be a National. Those pickups are unmistakable. Bernie Larsen, Jorge Calderon, and the Late, Great 'Human Freight Train' Ian Wallace (RIP).
What a great version,Bankano1!!!
Hey I remember you!!!Peace

Yeah, great music. I might put up some more by Lindley before long. Enjoy Daves work with Jackson Browne, too.
