The National flag of Iran is the 3 color flag. The government flag had the shiro khorshid and the Pahlavi family flag had the crown on the top,'So you better go and learn your history first before giving anybody else a lecture.

This parade clearly is an attempt to make sure that the beautiful past of Iran is not lost.Through the preaching of nonsense from morons like yourself, this message becomes lost. I can assure you that if they did use the current flag of Iran it would still be criticized as being political. I do agree with you that it is not the current national flag, but then again this parade's emphasis is not only on current Iran, but also Iranian heritage.

The people running this show were the same people carring pictures of REZZ PAHLAVI in front of UN. They claim it is non political so can some one explain what is all these flags of Shahanshai doing on the floats?????? the only place they didnot put a flag was up their a##.
If you could not differentiate between iranian natioinal flag which is sun and lion from the royal one with a crown on top of it, you need a basic lesson about iran. Those who are against iranian national flag are seperatists and uprooted internationalists
