I remember this happening as i was there i was in flight B109 that's right the Band flight for dec 14 2004 through jan 28 2005. that's when this occured it was definately a groaner but of course we couldn't make any sounds but we still felt bad for the Chief that got hit in the head and for the poor bastard that hit him... it was definately a memorable event that i will never forget.
I was in formation when that happened! I think his MTIs were more nervous than he was after the Chief took it on the noggin. The Chief's head was bleeding afterward. The Guidon bearer actually received a Chief's Coin after the ceremony for keeping his bearing. This happened in early Jan 2005. HOOAH Air Force!!!
excellent bearing, i bet he had a huge bump on his head. i almost did someting like that exccpt the it hit my PC on the shoulder. he was pretty pissed
