this is not how you do it. you have to flick the string, dump the bar, and when the bar is dumped, the strings flapping. you catch a harmonic on any fret in midair and pull down hard on the bar.

A Gibson is a beautiful guitar. I honestly have no problem with Ibanez and Schecter style guitars, although I don't understand where you see the beauty.

Vickotor you'll need at least a half flouting bridge to do this but of u don't have a locking nuts to ur strings the guitar may get out of tune

thats not the way to make a good tremolo dive.u dont use right hand to hit the string,u use the index of left hand so it can be precise and quick.also if u want to make a harmonic dive u hit with left hand index and quickly put your ring finger to the harmonic point.hope l helped =)

If I had a fender, i wouldnt install a floyd rose, kinda kills the guitar. I would never pay more than $500 for a guitar with a tremolo unless it played better than $500 considering the system costs $150 to buy and unless your a very handy toolguy/gal, you are going to be forking over alot to have someone cut a cavity in your guitar. I really want to put a system in my guitar but its a $200 guitar and is not worth it. And it doesnt take a $1000 guitar to sound great.

No, you need the bar to go down then all the way up past the floating point to get the high pitch squeals

Yeah, you can buy a Fender Strat with the Floyd installed for about $700.
