This is the first good circuit bend I've ever seen. Most people turn a functioning instrument into a mess that produces terrible none musical sounds, that can be just as easily gotten without destroying an instrument. But yours can still be played normally it seems, and the sounds are actually for the most part pretty cool, plus you actually play music :) so yeah, good video
Glad you liked it. If I remeber rightly there is a small Circuit board attached to the main one. On the small board there are a few resistors next to the black blobby thing, I just altered a few of those, and added a potentiometer!
Your taking voltage from one circuit and expirimenting with that voltage on another circuit. Modding different parts of the circuit board with switches, resistors, and dials, to control the ammount of voltage directed in different circuits.
Try it for your self some time, Yeah, you might mess up, but it doesnt' hurt to experament with old toys.
These keyboards spit out some nice sounds with a pitch mod. The transparent ones (Keyboards) go a bit lower and scream a bit more, because of the location of the pitch resistor in the circuit, if you push these ones too low in pitch they crash. Yo Smokengrind, where's the glitch out bend then man?
I picked one of these up from a charity shop for 50p. Not much to bend in them, but they are capable of usefull sounds.
If you play around with the chip where the pitch bends are, with the points in a row... a pot for resistance, and some of the components on the main board, you can get it to glitch out quite a bit too :)
Very nice... i have a similar keyboard, it makes me anxious to try!.... he but... is this a wasking machine in the backgound (i'm only joking, creat bend-machine, really, simple but amusing!)...
if you made this seems like a pretty gnarly mod

It's Called "Circuit Bending"

Nice bend mate.

Lol @ the farmyard ho down at the end ;)
