dwight really needs to shorten his routine.. i was thinkin about how bad he is at free throws the other day and realized something. when you practice free throws, you practice while doing your routine. thats the point of it. but if it takes you 10 seconds every free throw, and it takes somebody like dirk 5 seconds every free throw, then dwight is gonna get half the amount of free throws up, in practice, as dirk. if he sped it up it would mean ALOT more free throws in practice, and higher %

For anyone who's mad at the NBA about this, you should know that the NBA sent a letter to Dwight Howard saying he consistently takes 15-20 seconds to get a free throw off. Both him and Stan Van Gundy were compeletely award that he had been warned and then the officials were instructed to make the call if he didn't speed it up.

Nevertheless, this call is arguable. 1, the down-ref hadn't left the lane AND given the shooter the ball. 2, we didn't see if the ref punched it in (started the count).
