i hate fillers, and this one was no different. Except for this fight, best fight since ichigo vs byakuga or kenpachi :) though the fight with aizen was nice too, although it became a little to much DBZ :P

Seems to be the theme with this move. Both times we've seen it (unless I'm being dense and forgetting another time) it has been 'countered' by people just using a mass of reiatsu and in both cases (Ichigo and Kouga) Byakuya wins...moral of the story, don't fuck with Byakuya let alone Shuukei Hakuteiken!

(For the top comment) No, this is not the best filler ever, however it could very well have been. What should have happened is this filler should have been placed in the stead of the current (totally god AWFUL) filler happening now. Why? Well, if they had waited to release this filler, then several more characters would have had their zanpaktou either revealed or had their powers explained better so the filler wouldn't have had so many faults, i.e zangetsu not being young when using bankai.

meh.....in fillers the fight scenes and attacks seem to mimic past fight scenes that were in the cannon. this one here just seemed too much like the final attack when ichigo fought Byakuya

This is probably the best filler episode of Bleach. That doesn't say much unfortunately. I've given up on watching Bleach Filler now, and almost given up on the canon episodes and manga to be honest. It's not as good as it used to be and isn't getting any better.

Fillers are made up and non cannon- which means it isnt part of the main story.

normally fillers are totally freaken mindless and piss me off, but this one truly was awesome. I mean when Ichigo and Ulqiorra (sp?) were diverted, I was so pissed I almost went and read the manga, but I still am happy I didn't. This arc was awesome and that fight was downright epic. Not quite where Ichigo vs Grimmjow was but I could watch both of these fights a million times!

Well since this is a filler, they usually don't give out important info about the storyline here. Whatever happened to Ginrei is has not yet been revealed, possibly he was recruited by the Royal Guard.

Ginrei is the old man in Kuchiki mansion, he probably dropped his place as Head of Kuchiki House to Byakuya, because Byakuya was more powerful, or his reiatsu shrinked with age, or anything else, maybe he just wished to grow tomatoes like don Corleone :)
