  • I liked you better when you were in The Presidents of the United States of America.

  • Is there anyway to synchronize the Voicelive with the clock in a DAW to quantize the switch commands?

  • Can the user choose one mono output line, or does it have to be stereo?

  • Can you preset the global 'mix' setting for each sound? I have a 'create' and this is becoming a problem because I have to adjust it by bending down on stage and it looks a bit unprofessional.

    Thanks!

  • Gotta buy this!

  • I sing a 13 song set in a band can i set my songs manually,( key scale etc) in advance and dial them up with my foot on the stage

  • Is there a way to predefine effects for a song and have it change automatically following a track? because i sing for tracks and move around on the stage a lot. thanks.

  • IT COOL MY MAN !!!!

  • is there any software similar to this?

  • @corporacionmonstruo Hiya, Unfortunately I can't think of any software that offers everything available in the VoiceLive 2. There's a lot in this little magic box!

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @corporacionmonstruo I've been using Mainstage with midi mappings to foot switches. Works quite well, trusty enough for a gig, and you can set up the layout to match your hardware. Though I have to say this Voicelive is the most elegant solution yet. Beats lugging around notebook, rack-mounted soundcard, rack, cabling..

  • @GandalfDaBlack thanks!

  • I played through a friend's pedal and I noticed the VL2 changed my acoustic guitar sound. Is there anyway to bypass this processed sound and have a dry guitar signal?

  • @KurbyDurby Hiya, Yes - you can use the "Guitar Thru" connection to send your uneffected guitar signal to a seperate source.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @tchelicon Hey Thanks for the quick reply! :) Which output affects the guitar signal? I guess I'm trying to figure out which one my friend had me going through :) Thanks again Joey :)

    Take care, Scott

  • @KurbyDurby Hiya, If you are using the global guitar effects within the VoiceLive 2, you will hear these effects on any of the main outputs. Perhaps the answer for you is to just turn these effects off - then you would have a completely dry guitar signal :).

Hope this is what you're asking.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • witch would you recommend if i buy 1? voice live 2 or voice live touch?

  • @leftkity Hiya, That's a really hard decision to make without knowing your specific needs :). I'd recommend having a browse through the prpduct pages and manuals on the TC-Helicon website and decide which unit you think suits you best. Even better, try them out at a shop near you!

If you have any specific questions then please let me know...

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • Hi, whats this model of this module?

  • @lukzter Hiya, This is the TC-Helicon VoiceLive 2. Was that what you were asking?

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • wow as a bass player and backing vocals as well - this would make a huge change in our music, how much would this set anyone back?? would like to know

  • @jomacbub Hiya, If you check the TC-Helicon website you will find local pricing and links to dealers that stock the VoiceLive 2!

    Hope this helps.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • excilent musician this gear is good to used but need to be goos musician the same this guitarist

    AND GOOD SINGER TO

  • hello, if I buy this object, so I already find these effects or have been changed?

  • @peppem1992 HIya, Yes - all the presets you are hearing in this video are on the unit when you purchase it. This is a showcase of just 10 of the many presets available in the unit.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @tchelicon Hello, could you tell me if the previous version VoiceLive is valid and good?? I'm undecided, as you recommend me?? What are the main differences?? Thank you very much ;)

  • @peppem1992 Sure :). Hiya, I'm not sure what you mean by valid. The first VoiceLive is great, however, the VoiceLive 2 benefits from free software updates, newer technology for creating harmonies, new features, a much more intuitive design. Just about every parameter is editable too. I hope that helps! If you have any more specific questions I can help you with, please sing out!

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • Will this work with just a keyboard going into it to get new voice patches out of it without singing into it? The Roland VP-7 can do that but it's not clear from the demos whether the TC can do it. I.e. using my keyboard to choose female chorus or gegorian chant voices and playing just on the keys as if they were onboard patches from the keyboard.

  • @Halunlimited Hiya, To get sounds out of the VoiceLive 2 you do need to sing through the unit. In this sense it is a "Vocal Effects Unit" as opposed to a "Synth Module". Hope this helps!

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @tchelicon Thanks. Can I sing into the VL2 without plugging in any instrument or other sound source and still have it harmonize to my voice, and automatically find my key? Or do I always have to have a guitar or keyboard hooked up? Pardon me for my naivite, this is a new direction for me. I'm trying to balance breadth of features with ease of use.

  • @Halunlimited Hiya, If you don't want to have an instrument connected to trigger your harmony, you do need to set a key or a scale manually.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @tchelicon Hi Joey, I want to thank you for answering all my questions. I did end up buying the VL2 and it is amazing and highest quality. I'm sure I'll have more questions after I test the capabilities and limits of this awesome machine. Hal

  • @Halunlimited You're very welcome Hal :). You may want to consider being a part of TC-Helicon's Facebook as there's over 23,000 fans and users who are often helping each other out and sharing what they're doing musically with their TC-Helicon gear. It's a great little support network in itself. I'm also there :).

Wishing you hours of joy with your VoiceLive 2 - don't be a stranger! We'd love to share the journey with you.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @Halunlimited Hiya, Thanks for letting me know. Glad I was able to help :).

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • So I just purchased the VoiceLive Touch and I am wondering other than the foot controlling method, does the VoiceLive Touch have pretty much all the same functionality or more?

  • @blades144 Hiya, The VoiceLive Touch has a lot of the Core features of VoiceLive 2 but is less editable and boasts the best looping functions of any TC-Helicon product to date.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • Impressive! I may have to reconsider buying the VoicetoneH1 and pick this up instead! Unfortunately the other guys in my band don't sing which really limits the live show. These harmony and choir effects may be just the thing I need!!

  • preset 106 sounds like a robin williams sound!

  • 1.3.__? Thanks!

  • What is the current firmware version for this?

  • @206RAGE HIya, The current firmware version is 1.3.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • Этот лысый меня раздражает

  • what's the name of the first song?

  • @jrecaaf Hiya,

I wondered about that aswell. It turns out to be a tune that Tom wrote himself before the video was done.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC Helicon

  • This is the deciding video for me, I am now going to go and purchase one for these. I am a gigging musician and I needed something to stay ahead of the crowd in the club and function circuit I work in. This is it! Thanks

  • can you control more than one mike with it? I'm in a band with three singers, so we would use it for doubling, delay, and reverb mostly.

  • @radeeohed1 Hiya, The VoiceLive 2 was designed for a monophonic input so you will find that many of the effects don't work well as with more than one singer at a time. If you intend to use this with more that one mic you will need to run it as an aux send in a mixer. Reverb and Delay would probably work ok but other effects like harmony, doubling and pitch correction will definitely not sound as intended. Hope this helps.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @tchelicon

can i use this on usb recording software like pro tools and fl studio

  • @thestutteringrapper Hiya, yes you can. Check out the full manual (downloadable from TC-Helicon's website) for info on how to use the VoiceLive 2 with your DAW.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-helicon

  • @UncleJoey12

Hi Joey, Learning how to use my voicelive2 and so far it's a interesting little tool. My question is not related to the machine. What is the name of the song in the demo in this video. The one with preset 53 Light Flange. It's got me stumped. What band did it?

  • @UncleJoey12 Hiya, Yes - without a guitar plugged in you can still use the Harmony-G XT for it's effects and doubling as well as the Tone feature. However, you may want to look at some of the other products in the VoiceTone range if this is what you are after. For instance, the VoiceTone Create XT will do all the studio quality effects and VoiceTone D1 does doubling extremely well (they work great together too!). Check out the TC-Helicon website for more info..

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @UncleJoey12 Hiya, Yes! You can trigger harmonies on the fly in several ways with the VoiceLive 2... Guitar (yep, simply plug it into the VoiceLive 2), Midi, any audio sound source (backing mp3 etc) and by simply setting a key or scale - the choice is yours! For further info you might be interested in checking out the complete manual downloadable for free via TC-Helicon's website.

  • What do I need to connect my Voicelive 2?

  • What do I need to connect my Voicelive 2 ? I want to connect it to an amplifier and to the computer only.

  • @AndresRomeroBlog Hiya, The cables you will need will depend on the type of amplifier you are wanting to connect to - if you can give me a bit more detail I can help you with this no problem.

I would reccommend going through a proper vocal PA for optimum results - in this case you would likely need 2 XLR cables (left and right). As for connecting to a computer, the best way would be to use the USB on your VoiceLive 2.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • I want one of these things so bad.......but alas, I am a broke musician.....figures. TC Helicon - are you feeling the Christmas Spirit? Can you send me one?

  • great job!

  • That's bad-ass! I need to get me one of those. :))

  • Can you use it as a USB interface? like a sound card? or do you have to connect it to a sound card?

  • 1:30 HEY TEACHER!

  • its crime))))

  • hello wehn i turn my voicelive 2 on it a blank screen it doesnt seem to be loading anything up and can u tell me how to set it up if i was to run mic into voice live 2 then xlr lead from voicelive 2 to my amp thanks

  • @dannysiviter Hiya, I'd definitely contact TC-Helicon's support team about the blank screen - they'll be able to troubleshoot with you what's happening there. As for your question... If you are running from the xlr outputs to an xlr input on your amp you would simply need an xlr cable to run between them. If however your amp has a jack input you would need an xlr to jack cable.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • The pitch button engages the auto-chromatic pitch correction, however say that you would prefer to just use a more subtle autotune than auto-chromatic pitch correction?

In other words, is there an autotune preset that would serve a similar purpose to what I stated above, but that would be less forced than the kanye lockdown preset, and rather a subtle pitch correction in a set key?

  • @soapboxracer182 HIya, The auto-chromatic pitch correction is actually the subtle version that is activated by pressing the "pitch" button. For more drastic effects such as used in the "Kanye Lockdown" preset you would need to use the "Hardtune" feature as found in the FX menu.

How much pitch correction you wish to have (subtle or hardtune) is completely editable on the VoiceLive 2.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • whats the preset at 0.35 in this video thanks

  • @dannysiviter Hiya, That's the "Kanye Lockdown" - preset number 4.

    Enjoy!

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • is there any chance you can do a video of some of the auto tune presets please thanks

  • @dannysiviter Hiya, I can certainly forward the request for consideration :).

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • hey cool unit - question - when using the harmony feature, can you adjust the volume levels of the harmonies to either take them a bit further back against your own vocal or bring them forward if wanted also?

  • @al280570 Hiya, Yes, you can definitely alter the volume of the backing vocals as compared to your lead voice. This can be done in the harmony tab of the edit menu. The VoiceLive 2 is extremely editable and you can adjust pretty much everything to suit your taste. Check out the manual for the VoiceLive 2 which is available as a free download from the TC-Helicon website.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • is this beater than atune and does it have asio

  • @willxxxlife Hiya, It does alot more than the autotune :). Yes, you can use the Asio4all driver via usb with your computer.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @tchelicon can i set the key and do a track in my daw and does it have ph power

  • @willxxxlife Hiya, A resounding yes, yes, yes! :).

  • This is an amazing product :) Can I use a voicelive 2 and a voicelive touch with a keyboard? Please, tell me something more about Voicelive touch.....Are there the same vocal effects like in voicelive 2? Can I chose the intervals manually? Can I program in advance the effects and intervals for more than one song and is it possible at all? Thanks and good luck!

  • @Tripcollective Hiya, Thanks for the compliment! Yes, you can definitely use a keyboard to generate harmonies using both the VoiceLive Touch and VoiceLive 2. The VoiceLive Touch is built on the same effects architecture as VoiceLive 2 however VoiceLive 2 is more editable overall.

  • @Tripcollective On both products you can also pre-program midi tracks / bank changes etc to send into the unit. For more info check out the manuals which are available for free download via TC Helicon's website.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • is the pedal able to follow the modulations and produce harmonies without the input of any instrument or mp3 track, precisely only by listening to the lead vocal..

  • @balancepg Hiya, for creating harmonies without using an instrument or backing mp3 you would need to set a key or a scale so it has some musical information for it to follow.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • The first preset and step give me chills every time i watch the vid. What an amazing product

  • @vierge99 Thanks for the feedback, glad you dig it :).

  • @julek1664 When I finally crack the code of your question I will try to answer it. Until then, I will study your 'question' and one day hope to understand what it is you are trying to say!

  • I'm new to this, so let me get this straight... this piece of hardware will add perfect harmony and even add correction to someone who is a little pitchy? It's too good to be true. If it's like everyone saying it is, im ordering one today.

  • I have BIG problem with my Voicelive 2! everytime i listen something, like wasp!!! voicelive?????micro????ampli??? But only when i connect voicelive 2! someone have something like that?

  • @julek1664 Hiya, If you contact TC-Helicon's support team via the link on our website they'll be able to help figure out what's happening and get it sorted with you :).

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • Ребята, как скачать это видео?

  • Hey Tom... great demo!

  • I've also been interested in your vocal processors. It's been very confusing for me to find the right product for me. I wish you had a comparison chart so it would show the difference between all the products. It's not clear at all, how much of voicetone synth, voicetone correct, voice live touch..etc ..has been incorporated in Voicelive 2. If you could provide us with a such a chart, we could then make a decision in no time.

  • @TRITONKORG1 Hiya, with regards to a comparison chart - I'll certainly suggest adding one to the TC-Helicon website on your behalf. Great suggestion! For now, I'll try and de-mistify some things for you...

  • @TRITONKORG1 VoiceTone Synth is the only TC-Helicon product that contains a vocoder. Some people choose to pair this up with one of our other products which works great. VoiceLive Touch is the only product we currently do which includes the looping ability and uses a touch screen rather than being foot controlled. VoiceLive 2 remains the most editable of all our products... You have complete control over pretty much every parameter you can think of.

  • @TRITONKORG1 The VoiceLive 2 has everything the smaller VoiceTone pedals offer (bar the VoiceTone Synth) with many more factory presets and available saving places. It also allows you to harmonise to an mp3 or backing track and trigger harmonies via midi or guitar too.

  • @TRITONKORG1 Do sing out if you have any more specific questions I can help you with! I always suggest trying out all your options at a dealer near you is the best way to understand the products and make the right choice for you personally.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @tchelicon

Unfortunately, I've found your suggestion of "trying out all your options at a dealer near you" impossible. I've tried multiple SamAsh and Guitar Center Stores including their giant branches in hollywood (los angeles), and they don't have a single unit on display. The sales people have no knowledge of these products. Only one salesman finally brought the brand new box from back there somewhere, but he didn't hook it up or anything...it's almost impossible to try ur products in LA.

  • @tchelicon

Thanks a lot for responding. I have to agree with Assyrian Pianist. I've never been presented with an option to try out the voice processors at the dealers. Either, they don't have them in stock, and you have to just place an order with them, or if they do have them , they're not available for us to try. They have every other product available though..Digitech, Roland..etc but not TC helicon.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey...I have a question...I currently have a Digitech vocal 300///I have a few of the effects on that machine that I love to use///Is it possible to run that machine with those effects that I love to use through the voice live 2 to ake them even better///

My next question is If I record a song on my recorder 1st//then decide to record my vox//will the voice live 2 still pick up on the correct keys just by being attached to my recorder while I am recording vox?///thanks

  • @MarioTheHighPriest Hiya, Yes - it would be possible to chain your current unit with VoiceLive 2. You can use the line input for this or if the other unit has a stereo input you can run the VoiceLive 2 into it this way. The choice is yours.

  • @MarioTheHighPriest The VoiceLive 2 will work with your recorder in this fashion if you are running the backing track into the Aux input. Also, if your recorder is capable of midi, this information can also be sent to the VoiceLive 2 to generate harmony information.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • Is Voicelive 2 basically a collection of all the voice series smaller boards in one box? In other words

    voicelive touch+voice synth+voicetone correct+.....=voicelive 2 (all in one box)???

  • @Assyrianpianist Hiya, The only things VoiceLive 2 doesn't contain that the other products in our range do is a vocoder (only VoiceTone Synth has this and many people choose to pair that up with the VoiceLive 2), looping and touch screen (if you're really after these two, you might want to consider the VoiceLive Touch). VoiceLive 2 remains the most editable of all of our products - the ultimate over control of pretty much every parameter.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @tchelicon thanks for the response. What I'm really interested is the Vocoder, and church choir harmonies. Does voiceTone Synth have church choir capabilities based on keyboard midi note input?

I'd really like to have the vocoder effect for techno types of songs as well. Please advise..thanks

  • @Assyrianpianist Hiya, VoiceTone Synth does contain the Vocoder but unfortunately doesn't contain any choir effects or harmony options. However, VoiceLive 2 does work extremely well with Synth - with this combination you can do pretty much everything.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • No, it is just from outer space!

  • ESO ES UNA BUENA DEMONSTRACION!!!!!

  • Preset 5: Another Brick = SOLD!!!!

  • I want!!!!!!

  • i GOT MY VL2 LAST XMAS AND BEEN USING IT SINCE THEN ON MY STUDIO AND AT HOME JUST PLAYING . THE THING I NOTICE THOUGH , IS THAT , WHEN I TRY TO SING AND PRESS THE SHORTCUT TO HOLD THE SONG , IT'S NOT WORKING.

CAN YO TELL ME HOW TO MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT? CHETVOX-

  • @chetvoxx Hiya, Have you contacted TC-Helicon's support team about this? If not, I'd suggest doing this so they can troubleshoot the issue with you.

Let me know how you get on so I know you managed to get some help with this!

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • This may sound like a dumb question but could you play a saxophone through a mic connected to this unit and still get the harmonies? I wonder if you get a horn section from the one horn :)

  • @magoo72thinline HIya Magoo, Yes - it is possible to do this. I have just sent you a message with a link to a great example of this. However, please still bear in mind that this product was specifically designed for voice so we cannot guarantee any results with other input sources :).

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @tchelicon So I have been using the digitech live4 with my sax for some time but find it somewhat thin in sound compared with the MPX1 I used before. Most often I use an octave below and above for horn section parts. I also use the chorus fx uniquely quite often and found this to be thin as well. So now I want and honest opinion on if this equipment offers an upgrade over the digitech?

  • @killRadio82 Hiya, Yes you definitely can do this! For full details, check out the manual downloadable for free via TC-Helicon's website :).

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @Summerbreeze1616 Hiya, I am pretty sure that Tom was indeed using a Beta 58. As far as an amp goes, basically any decent PA system should work well with the VoiceLive 2.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • Bluffant! amazing!!!!

  • I just have one question.

What I'm most interested in is the harmony and double effects of the VoiceLive 2 and I know it has voice-effects like the Synth.

If I get VoiceLive 2, is that like also obtaining Synth, the Harmony ones, and Double? So, to put it in short, is getting the Synth like getting a VoiceLive2 without the Harmony and Double effects? Or is there a difference with the effects and modulations?

  • @kupolc Hiya, You are right when you say that getting the VT Synth means that you don't have the harmony and doubling effects. The VoiceLive 2 contains all the effects (and more) of all the VoiceTone pedals except the Synth. The VoiceLive 2 doesn't contain a vocoder as found in the Synth.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • I´m soooo disappointed. I bought the VoiceLive b4 3 Days. It worx for 3 hours. (great Sound) Than finish. The Display just show me a white square on Blue Background. Thats it. Now I can wait the next week. Hope the new VoiceLive2 worx 100%. We need it for StudioWork urgently. :-/

  • @JustTwoJam Hiya, Sorry to hear you have had issues with your VoiceLive. If you haven't done so already I would suggest you get in touch with TC-Helicon's support department via the support page on their website. They will be able to troubleshoot the issue with you and get you back on track.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • I found the trouble with my voice live2 all de effects had a sound like a vibration or detune when the pitch is on and it is because the microphones get the sounds of another instruments and the voice live easily get this sounds and affect the tune and the sound of the lead voice. I think this is something that most to be correct to be shure having a profesional sound on live.

  • I have the vocalist2 and the voicelive2 really the voice live is more complicated and detuned easily. vocalist digitech have only harmonies but the sound is clear and not so complicated. I really sorry to buy the voicelive2 , still have many things to correct.

  • @duendetroll Please let me know if there's anything you need help to nut out! You might also find it helpful joining TC-Helicon's Facebook as there's 3,000 odd fans which are always happy to help and share how they have done different things. Also, you can get in contact with TC-Helicon's support team via Helicon's website anytime :).

  • @duendetroll

i just get my voicelive 2 a week ago, i just want to answer too all those people that don t inderstand how to use it,

just read the manual, it s very easy after 20 minutes i start to play my keyboard and sing with the armony, piece of cake

    voicelive 2 rocks guys

  • Damn! elvis is alive! sounded just like elvis at the elvis radio preset.

  • I have the original Correct, Create & Double pedals, but the Create is having problems and the Double has the digital remnants that are very obvious. I'm thinking of upgrading to the VL2, but... does the Doubler section still have the digital remnant problem?? Can you adjust the volume of each effect?? The Double is WAY louder than the normal send so I had to adjust most of the settings... THANKS!!! ps.. I'd still buy them all again.. no regrets!!

  • @opieness Hiya, The double section of VoiceLive 2 is derived from VoiceTone Double but with different styles and the ability to edit just about every parameter. I'd suggest going down to your local dealer and trying one out! Thanks so much for your loyalty and positive feedback :).

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • lol......the "Kanye" preset is hilarious......i would LOVE to have that sound at my feet for gigs....and LULZ!

  • Hi, I was going to purchase three different TC-Helicon pedals (The Voice Correct, Create XT,and the Harmony G-XT) But would I be better off getting the Voice Live 2? Is there any downside to purchasing the VoiceLive 2 (such as loss of features) over the individual pedals? Thanks.

  • @TheMusicManVA Hiya, Actually, you would probably gain alot by going for the VoiceLive 2 as far as the ability to edit everything and the number of harmonies / doubling is concerned. I suggest you take the time to try these out for yourself first to decide what is best for you.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • Hello, what is the difference between voicelive 2 and 1? Thanks!

  • @Marshallsoloway HIya, The VoiceLive 2 has many differences to the original VoiceLive. For a start there is the 8 voices of harmony as well as the intelligent adaptive tone features. The VoiceLive 2 has been designed to be the most user friendly and intuitive vocal effects processor possible. The step mode function is completely redesigned and you can generate harmonies using key / scale, midi, guitar or any audio input.

  • @Marshallsoloway There are so many possibilities with this unit and pretty much everything onboard is editable. I would suggest you visit your local Helicon dealer and try one for yourself. If you need any more help feel free to sing out!

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • hey, ive looked at the voicetone series, and i was wondering, does this unit include all of the features the other pedals have? im particularily interested in the delays and the correction effects such as compression and pitch correct,

i am also wondering, how many presets can you save on this thing, can preset names be changed at all, can you make harmonies ect without having to plug an imstrument or MP3 into this thing because i run my electric guitar through some stompboxes

  • @JRNicholson27794 Hiya JR, Yes - the VoiceLive 2 contains everything the VoiceTone pedals have and more. The only exception to this is the VoiceTone Synth as the VoiceLive 2 does not contain a vocoder. You can save a huge number of presets on this unit, also you can set key and scale for harmonies so you don't have to plug an instrument in.

  • @JRNicholson27794 Also, if you are using stompboxes for guitar - you can just use the guitar thru and send your guitar to your regular setup at the same time as using it to guide the harmonies on the VoiceLive 2.

  • @JRNicholson27794 The VoiceLive 2 can store over 300 presets and it is easy to change the name of any preset. To get an idea of the immense capabilities of this unit, it is definitely worth downloading the VoiceLive 2 user manual from the TC-Helicon website. Also, you should take a trip down to your local TC-Helicon dealer and try one out for yourself :).

    Best wishes,

  • awesome judy blue eyes!!!!!!!!

  • What´s the name of the first song?

    Thanks.

  • Hiya,

I wondered about that aswell. It turns out to be a tune that Tom wrote himself before the video was done.

  • awesome. I'm sold.

  • this is great

  • Which done the difference between Tc helicon voice live 1 and Tc voice live 2 use in the demonstrative video? thank you.

  • Just got the VL2 last week. This thing is simply amazing. But, TC-Helicon needs to design a carrying case for it. If I'll spend $800 for a vocal processor board, I'll pay extra for a fitted carrying case for it. (hint, hint) It'll be cool if there was a fitted hard-shell case for it for transportation. Or does anyone know what Storm case, or a good case for it?

And if you're reading these reviews and thinking about buying one - stop thinking and buy it.

  • I have been searching Google to try and find the title of the very first song and can't seem to find it anywhere. Please help if you know the title and artist, I would really appreciate it. Also, I bought the VL2 about a month ago and CANNOT stop using it. This is truly the most amazing piece of equipment since the invention of the microphone! Also, Tom Lang and Laura Clapp RULE!!

  • Hi Joey,

Do you know of any plans for a Voicelive 3? I think I might hold out for that instead of this one if it's to be released soon.

    Thanks!

  • Hiya Alex,

I haven't heard of any plans to release a VoiceLive 3.

  • I hate Auto tune with a passion. God the worst effect ever is auto tune makes me sick when I hear it.

  • i've just received my tc voicelive2 and U want the truth ? this machine realy scares me... Caus my voice is so good with it that i wonder if i would be able to sing without it now... such a strange sensation... sometimes i feel like a fake singer... as if I was loosing a part of sincerity when i sing in front of poeple... must seems crasy I know...

does famous singer always use comp, equalisers, delay and reverb in live ? does the good singers use pitch correction live? ...

  • I have just purchased VL2 I am trying to use it with Digi02 for my voice recording but it is not working properly. can some one help me

  • Hiya,

Can you give me some more info on how you currently have things set up? How have you tried connecting it?

    Best wishes,

  • hello Joey

Now, finally, I have exchanged my Voice Works for the Voice live 2. The VL is very well, unfortunately,....there is not an editor?????

    And I think...this is not OK :-(

Will there also be for the VL2 an editor?

    many greetings from germany/Leipzig

  • Hiya,

Unfortunately I'm not aware of any current plans for an editor for VL 2. I will let you know if I hear of any plans in the future.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC Helicon

  • I have a question about pitch correction that I haven't been able to get an answer to. If you sing off-pitch and the VL2 applies pitch correction, are both the corrected and uncorrected vocal signals sent to the output? If so, can you dial out the uncorrected vocal so that only the corrected vocal signal goes to the PA?

  • Hiya,

Pitch correction is like an effect. When applied, only the corrected signal is sent to the output.

  • Just bought VL2 and was wondering if the mic output or line outputs create less feedback? And with Autotune preset do you always have to set the key or can your guitar change the hardtune? Thanks

  • Hiya,

In regards to your first question, both outputs are the same. This shouldn't cause you to have feedback issues - if you are experiencing feedback, some things to consider might be:- stage volume, positioning of guitar amps/monitors, amount of compression on the vocal, microphone technique (you should sing with your lips touching your mic to reduce spill). Searching this topic on forums like Voice Council and TC Helicon's blog may also prove helpful.

  • As for your second question, the answer is yes :). You can set the hardtune to "follow harmony". When set to this, the effect will follow the same source as the harmony voices - eg guitar.

  • is there a a box for just the hard tone/TPAIN,KANYE WEST effect because i really need this but im lookn for sumn a little cheaper than 700/800 dollars

  • You're in luck! Check out the VoiceTone Synth - this pedal is all about those hard tuning/vocoder type effects :).

  • Hi, do want to sounds like T-pain and that chit

just look this on youtube AUTO-TUNE!! =D

  • i plan on getting one of these within a month, i have used them before live and that kick ass, but compared to the origional voicelive how much differance is there actually, i have not used the origional voicelive and honestly im lookin for the best tool for the best buck.

  • Hiya,

The differences between VoiceLive 2 and the original unit are huge. Starting with the 8 voices of harmony, integrated guitar control and adaptive tone functions all the way through to the fact that the VoiceLive 2 is the most powerful floor processor for any instrument on the market. I would suggest you check out the manual that can be downloaded from the Helicon website to get an idea of what this product can do :)

  • I have a question. Just got the Voicelive 2.

My 80's tribute band tunes down a whole step. (Basically we tune to Motley Crue so when we play "a" it's really "g".

We astay with this tuning for all the songs when we play live. My question is, Do I leave it at 440 or do I need to go into setup and set it to 430???

    Thanks

  • Hiya,

If you're wondering if you need to change the tuning for the sake of the harmonies working correctly, then the answer is no :). VoiceLive 2 will track the harmonies following your guitar regardless of deviations from standard tuning.

    Best wishes,

    Joey @ TC Helicon

  • Can you use this with a keyboard instead of guitar?

  • Yes you can :). You can trigger your harmonies via Midi, Guitar and also any audio sound source (mp3 backing etc). Recently I've heard from a few users who are even using a bass to trigger harmonies, although wider voicings (10ths etc) are reported to work best.
