She's a total bel canto babe! Like La Fleming-o! Beautiful, stylish, relaxed, and extremely gifted. And I mean EXTREMELY GIFTED. With her and Kasarova and Garança for the florid music, and Zajik for the heavy hitting Verdi, our asses are covered for the next 10 or 15 years! And sadly, Juan Diego, the greatest bel canto tenor of his generation, does not record well. In the theater the voice is stunning. But it loses its "ping" without being in a seat in a great theater like Opéra Garnier.
The aria is "Contro un cor", by the way ^^ of course from L'inutil precauzione
She des a great job though it seems quite low for her at the beginning and high for him :S in the middle She seems to be a very nice person! :) Lovely production! where was it?
To which key do they transpose this for sopranos? You can tell the difference with the Contro un Cor from diDonato and Florez. Even in Flórez! I think he practiced a little more in this key. I love both Damrau and di Donato though! Amazing!
Has anyone noticed that todays Divas ( I use the term politely)have a really great sense of the ridiculous they are magic in these operas...YOu go girls.I is so nice to have singers who can move around rather than stand still

I love how they incorperate the harpsicord so fluently into this song! Diana's singing is great too :)
