  • Nigel Tufnell!

  • EXCELLENT MUSIC...

  • This is one of my favorite Jeff Beck groups over the years. I had no idea these videos existed! One thing I noticed right off the bat is Jeff is using a pick. Saw him in Seattle near the end of 2011 and, of course, these days...no pick, just finger picking. Jeff Beck is the best guitarist in the world...

  • Fantastic.

  • how to play drums

  • COSY POWELL ON DRUMS !!!

  • @Invader8313 RIP Cozy. One of the greats.

  • excelnteeeeeeeee gran tema saludos desde lima - peru

  • of course this rocks because Jeff rules. but if you like the slide stuff he does here then check out the allman brothers doing "Dreams" at the Stonybrook concet. it's a masterpiece, too. it had to be the best I ever heard Duane sound playing live. it's worth a listen, believe me.

  • Saw this video and bought the albums. Gotta love you tube

  • may I suggest an uber sick piece of guitarwork watch?v=-ShiyDntp3U

after this piece of SICK guitarwork.

  • This 50s Strat with Marshall 100w sound is super great

  • April 6 is my birthday! Awesome gift!

  • COZY POWELL!!!

  • @bigmetal16 Did you see what he did at 6:03!!!!

  • I can't help listening to this and think that this is the sound Lenny Kravitz was after when he first came out...

  • Coooooool ! ! カッチョ良過ぎ! コージーのドラムが聞かせます。それだけでおなかいっぱい。FUNK FUNK FUNK !

  • What a great performance from the whole band! I saw Cozy live when he was drumming for Whitesnake and he had one of the most commanding stage presences of any musician that I have ever witnissed !

  • In case anyone didn't know, Middleton, Chaman and Tench went on after this to form the band Hummingbird.

  • Jeff Beck just leaves me speechless. What adjectives can be used to describe his talent. The guitar in Jeff Beck's hands fully and completely submits to his genius. It's like, "Yes, I am yours, handle me as you wish."

What sounds. What a band. What everything. Killer.

  • You know - one thing that has to be there to olay great solos is great rhythm and a great rhythm melody. All great guitar work has that and great musicans pick up on it when it's going down. In my own music - from now until I die and if nobody but me hears it - I'm going to give myself a chance to play and not worry about if the song is contemporary or whatever. I'm ready to play man! JB has blown my mind!

  • Historic.

I know it's been said before, but Beck just comes up with one uber-cool lick after another, doesn't he? For that matter, this whole band just oozed coolness.

It's also pretty cool to see a really talented rock band that had enough creativity to sing about things other than veiled references to the devil *rolls eyes*, drug abuse, misogyny, self-to-blame angst or negative themes in general. I don't recall ever listening to this band & not coming away happier. Love this stuff.

  • Damn. Right on. Groovy shit man.

  • This is what jamming was meant to me. Wow.

  • Jeff is really great! But he's only the cherry of the cake here. Max Middletown and Cozy Powell are unbelievably talented.

  • Ahhhh!!!!!!!!

  • Who's vocalist?

  • @watanuki1207

Bob Tench (aka "Bobby" Tench). On rare occasions he played rhythm guitar behind Beck also.

  • @Ken5244 Thanks bro.And,Powell was here...are there the second Jeff Beck's group?

I don't know detail as to old Jeff Beck's group except for recent Beck.I'm 15.

  • @watanuki1207

No problem. To answer your question, yes, this is the second lineup of The Jeff Beck Group. The first had a very young Rod Stewart on lead vocals. Most Beck fans, myself included, consider his 60s & 70s music his best.

Wikipedia has more info on them if you want to learn more.

  • 4:51 Fucking awesome move by Powell!

  • Cozy Powell, man. He was the quintessential British blues-rock drummer. It's funny how a lot of kids today bring up drummers like Travis Barker all the time. Yeah, right. Trust me, there are thousands of drummers out there who play as good as him, but Cozy Powell was rock royalty. He could have played for the Who.

  • The days when drummers and everyone else played from their gut with fire....not the stiff and mannered music-school stuff of today. There's NO music school anywhere that can teach you how to play like Cozy did!

  • This is the shit, laying it the fuck down.

  • Clive greatest bass player Jeff ever had! BAR NONE!

  • @bentpolski I agree with ya

But that babe he 's got now is( Tal ) can play some bass.

  • This band indeed deserved much more reputation than than really got. This is a fantastic live act and pretty much shows where Jeff went on the next years!

I nearly can't imagine this is music was done about 40 years ago (when I also was younger than today...) - so fresh!

  • My Favorite Jeff Beck Band!!!

  • From 3:20 to 5:05 has got to be the greatest bit of music ever preserved to film. Not only is Beck doing some of the most unique and SICK guitarwork ever, but Clive Chaman is just on FIRE behind him and the band. I think if given the choice of acts throughout history I could go back in time to see, this would probably have to be it.

  • I would be sitting right next to you! Chaman is a beast through this whole song! Middleton is a genius although not very well known as is Chaman and Tench. Beck and Powell are legends and rightfully so. For 2 albums (and such a short time) you couldn't get ant better than this!

  • @rickyon

    Yes. I agree completely.

I also believe that this is, by far, the best ensemble of the mighty Jeff.

  • @mistapat His last tour, he played little fast, flashy, or even complicated. Him just playing beautifiul melodies wiith his post Guitar Shop approach to playing where the voice is the most important element touched me like nothing ever. I am a guy who digs Jimi, Eric Johnson, Vai, SRV, Malmsteen et al. I have been a Beck fan since the late 70s and he always seems to be growing musicially. My prize possesion is my 73 Strat Jeff signed for me.

  • @mistapat Beck is of course good but check out some of Robin Trower's work if you havn't already. The guy is the worlds primo Blues Rock guitarist! Ridiculously underated 'cause he never wrote for the top 40 charts. Just wanted to create his own unique Blues Rock style. Peace!

  • @pike9346 - I will be seeing Robin Trower here in Atlanta on Feb 5th, 2011, just so happens. He's one of my favorites.

  • @mistapat Are you sure only till 5:05.

  • this kicks all kinds of ass!!

  • Why is this video footage not on some DVD??

  • ジェフもカッコいいけど、コージーも意味なく派手で最高ですね。

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

  • この時代の映像があったなんて!!ありがとうございます餃子定食様。しっかしこの頃のコージーの派手さはすごいですね。メンバーの中で一番派手かもしれない(笑)

  • Where did you ever find this unbelievable video!

  • thank you so much for posting this! my all time favorite line up of the jeff beck group.
