  • B-b-b-bird, bird, bird, b-bird's the word

    Papa-ooma-mow-mow, papa-ooma-mow-mow

    Ooma-mow-mow, papa-ooma-mow-mow :P

  • Way to go, Percy :]

  • this song kicks so much ass I almost collided with an LAPD squad car when I first heard it....thank god I braked in time....I was pounding , drumming , on the steering so hard I got blisters...reminded me of when I saw Zepplin back in 1970, and when I first heard Allison, and she inspired me to learn fiddle....amazing album

  • sounds like poor tom

  • Thank you Plant for not being afraid of finding more ways to stay in an old Zeppers life I have always thought that no matter what you did you were always great at it also thank s to Allison

  • BOB !!!!! SNAP OUT OF IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh no bobby !!! why why ? what's got into you ?? what were you really thinking off ?? get back to jimmy before the world ends or something !!!

  • you know, i think he loves jimmy and what they made together, but that moment has died in 1980.

i think robert loves experimenting new things cause of his deep love for music and different kind of stuff.

we should admire him for this. even if led zep memory is a big memory to deal with , for both the singer and the fans ;)

  • They go together like bread and butter

  • Definately the best of the best. I love this song! They must of had so much fun making it!

  • He's soooooooooooo FNNNN' sexy!!!!

  • even at almost 62. its' too much, isn't it ?lol

    ;)

  • with the comments on zepplin...rerally? that's like asking RATM to get back together, or even the beastie boys... hell, that's like asking nissan to replace their logo with datsun... it ain't going to happen. shit happens for the best usually, deal with it.

  • What's the deal with airplane food?

  • Anticrombie918 they went on tour last year :P it might 70's music but who cares? i'm 18 and this is my fravourite song of all time :D

queen, robert plant, ozzy ect r the best! shame most of them r dead :(

  • its catchy...i like it alot... but... im eighteen and thus was not alive in the 70s... so mr. plant, PLEASE go on tour with zepp. bring alison along... thats fine, but i want to see some zeppelin

  • Do the dancers have a name?

  • Krauss is totally hot in this one. Who said blue grass can't be sexy?

  • I agree!!!! They are a beautful match. Very cool mix of the best of the best.

  • i love this song but i dislike the vedio not that it matter's as much

  • good to see plant still rockin the tight pants. I totally approve of this.

bloody fantastic song, his voice is strong as ever!

  • I love this song. It's just so simple, catchy and fun.

  • Has anyone seen Scarlett Johansson & Pete Yorn new single its a total rip off of this song? Two losers attempting to sound like two legends...I feel for them. Its a truly embarrassing attempt. How can anyone think to compete with Alison Krauss?

  • its not the type of song i would download, but is ok and as for Alison, wa wa wee wa!

  • i LOVE YOU ROBERT PLANT

  • Alison is so beautiful. Perfect blend of vocals on this song. It's pure magic at it's finest.

  • SCREW THE HATERS PLANT IS A GOLDEN GOD!

  • This song is underated...

  • i totally agree with you

  • as much as i agree with you, i'm 17 and in that "generation" as you just grouped us all into.

PLEASE give some consideration into some of the minority in our generation when you come to your rants please as we still appreciate the older era's of music.

I for one do not wear hoods, like hip-hop or dance.. *laugh* disco.

(btw disco was the 80's not the 90's).

Anyway, yes god bless the plant!!!!

    LED ZEPP'AGAIN'!

(Excuse the pun i couldn't help it).

  • i agree..i love this song gone gone gone

  • hes still got a great voice. it be sweet if zeppelin reunited, but i think hes doing good on his solo career

  • just found out this is an everly bros remake go figure

  • ChibiwolfXD: It is T-Bone Burnett, he also produced an arranged this record, and did one h*ll of a job.

Me myself is an oldschool hard rocker, and i love it!

  • Is it Robert Plant and Alison Krauss or the other way around?

  • I don't really get the video, but they sound great together. Love the Raising Sand album.

  • I think thse flirty looks made the video fun to watch and they are both good looking and Sexy.

  • Ok. I love both Plant and Krauss, but the two should never act flirty in a music video together, and such a poorly-produced one at that.

Raising Sand is a fantastic album, but it's more of an art house piece, not a commercial pop venture.

  • Jesus. Is that Douglas Boyle on guitar? If so, he has gotten old. :/ Still amazing though.

  • Robert Plant started his solo career in the 80s. Check out the album, Now and Zen. Amazing work.

  • Well, Robert obviously didn't write the lyrics. He'd have to include at least one section about the Lord of the Rings and say "baby" at least 50 more times.

  • First of all, it is because of his ability to change his style that has always made Robert Plant great. He is not stuck in a time warp. Zeppelin was and is great, but don't limit him to that for the rest of his life. And second, who you callin' sissy? Bet he could smack you down!

  • omg the video and costumes really suck. but I kinda like the song. pop with a touch of zeppelin groove..

  • LMAO... ur silly

  • allison krauss... angelic

  • Robbie has got to get rid of that mop cut

  • just heard the song: "Stairway to Heaven" or "The Inmigrant song".

  • There's no possible way to improve upon the Everly Brothers' sound.Check it out...

  • Ever heard of Led Zeppelin?

  • really neat to see Alison in this video... totally fun. She fits the style very well.

  • I like that Alison Krauss, she is stunning. This is a old tune from the 1960's

  • does anyone else think their in love?

  • Done me wrong? Neither of them can do any wrong!!! Still best album I've heard in past 2 years. Keep waiting for something decent to come along.

  • WHO KNEW? These two are great together

  • I found out recently that the Everly Brothers did the original. Those guys had a tremendous impact 50 years ago.

  • I bought the CD. And gave it awya to make sure a friend listened to it. Then bought it again! Its one of the best albums of the last few years. ...and yeah, i reckon they jumped eachothers bones! haha.

  • alison is so hot

  • One of the Best CD's I've ever bought. And (I'll add) I didn't even know about it, till I saw it here.

  • Alison Krauss WHAT A WOMAN!!!!!!

  • Personally, I think Raising Sand is a great album.

If Plant was still singing with Zep, you'd all be calling him a tired old rock star.

Quit crying, you bunch of babies.

  • wow not bad.....Love Zeppelin definetly my favorite band but i think it's really cool that he did a different style of music.... mean dont get me wrong, a Led Zeppelin reunion tour would be a dream come true for me, but i really liked this song.

  • They jumped each others bones. you know they did

  • This song is so good, I want to if it is a hit. Gosh, it makes you wanna dance!

  • I can see this song getting used in some future hip Hollywood movie, if it hasn't already.

It's totally cool, and it rhymes for the most part.

  • Does anyone know what this drum beat is called. Doo Doo Ba...Doo Doo Ba....so on...

  • never thought id see robert plant in a music video

  • In that case, do a youtube search for Plant & Page, "Most High"!

  • Que grande eres roberto! te pareces al mismísimo elvis!

  • WTF?? Come on Plant...seriously???

  • led zepplin has moved on... :(

  • no he killed it.

  • the album explores many genres, not just this one. there is plenty on there that this song is not a perfect representation of the album is a whole. it is so eclectic that no one song on there can give you the full experience in three and a half minutes.

  • The best part is Robert Plant!

  • they took the queen on bluegrass and the king of rock and made a gorgeous baby. this stuff is AMAZING.

  • XD

    That's a good one!

  • against my better judgment i like this

  • I'm trying to find a really long extension cord so I can put my pc in my car while I'm driving.......awe crap! I'll have to buy the cd...............

  • Awesome Robert P. is still performing! I'm from the Old School. Led Zepp ruled back in my day & still does! My 16 yr old has print of them on his wall. Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Bohnam and the other guy. Tell me, was John Bohnam really a devil worshipper, or was it Jimmy Page? Funny how history repeats itself. Oh Brother Where Art Thou & the fact Allison Krause played a cameo role in the movie and now this song? Weird, or coincidence? Think about it & respond back if you know the answer.

  • other guy = john paul jones

  • haha...i don't know if you meant for this to be funny or sarcastic, but as soon as i read this, i burst out laughing. thanks for making my day!

  • i hadn't seen this reply until now for some reason...but i was definitely being sarcastic. i just find it funny and sad when people either forget who john paul jones is, or have never even heard of him. in my opinion jpj is the most talented out of all 4 members. go look him up if you are one of the fools out there...

  • You're describing my life - adored zep in the 70's but 3 kids now finding this music too and strangely addicted to this collaboration which makes me smile...they love the rockabilly basics of this track. Full circle for sure . xx

  • This is absolute magic!

  • This is nothing less then an amazing job of collaberation of skills for the 3 main artists involved, i say 3 because ol' T-Bone put something into the Gone Gone Gone track that Jimmy Page himself might of had an issue with... :-) well, all respects to Jimmy though, no ill intent meant. The guitar work and the sound that T-Bone brought really made this song..... in my opinion, it is so unique and catchy.... grabs ya right where the ol' music notes roll :-)

  • I was there at their first concert!!!!11

  • ooo i hate most country too. it's really crappy stuff repeated over and over again. I like bluegrass and old timey cause it's different and original. country pop isn't bad either

  • which one? the jazz pianist or the jazz fusion artist? My hometown is Durham, North Carolina but I lived in Chicago for 5 years and now I live in Austin. I have a really developed sense of music. I love jazz even though most people I know hate it.

  • I don't understand how you've never heard of Alison Krauss if you really like music. Even if you don't follow bluegrass. She started Union Station and she's in the Grand ole Opry. She's been in movies like Oh, brother where art thou, The prince of egypt, Divine secrerts of the ya-ya sisterhood, Alias, & Cold Mountain She performed at the Academy Awards and she's been awarded 26 grammy awards making her the most awarded female in grammy history and the third most awarded artist in grammy history.

  • I really don't like them that much, but I really like this song, I'm just not much into either of their style, but this is.. different?

  • i gotta admit, i was never a big alison kraus fan, but this record is great. and she's super-cute in this video.

  • this video is a little wacky.. but I love this song :) they are two great voices.

  • who's the guitarist in the video? he's as old as jimmy page lol

  • Thats T-Bone Burnett babe!

  • im glad she grew her hair out... cause WOOF!

  • shite

  • that a boy robert still macking the younger ladies at 65... lol i know hes married... sounds good, it just shows how well rounded of a musician plant is, he is not only an amazing lead singer he is also an amazing harmonist and back vocalist. good on you man... i still wish that their was still last zeplin tour... hey man shes not a bitch, you're just jealous because you dont get to sing with him. lol jks i can totally understand why she wants to sing with him... but i get your point two pfp G

  • Just because you never heard of someone doesn't mean they suck, the fact that so many of you dismiss Krauss just because she's a bluegrass singer just displays your complete lack of maturity. Of course, what do you expect from a website whose core demographic is 12 to 18 year olds.

  • I just want to see led zeppelin, pretty please with sugar on top

  • Elvis also never got a grammy

  • ya and like 5 grammys dont hurt at all.everyone has to grow up sometime

  • how do you mean? If that would be the case, then she wouldn't say 'such thing'..?

  • Really cool :D

  • yr point being? i friggin' love led zep, & this new music doesn't turn me on that much, but hey, it's robert's choice to walk down this path in his life. it's been almost 30 yrs, he's moved on, so why don't u?

  • Funny some people keep saying "Robert should do that and that, because this doesn't turn me on".

It's HIS life and he'll do what he wants to.

  • noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • the first time i heard this song my mom had the album and was playing it in the car, and i was like "OH MY GOD, mom, who's that guy singing?? he has such an amazing voice, who is he??"

and then i found out it was robert hahah :]

    i <3 zeppelin and i <3 this :)))

  • you kidding me! it represents what the song is all about, siplicity, because we all need a balance between everything! Sometimes we want a pizza with onions pickles and bananas and sometimes we just want a burger, I rather have that burger now.

  • They are simply amazing...both rare talents in there respective genres and truly special together.

Alison Krauss is wicked talented and beautiful. Robert Plant is...Robert Plant.

  • If the 70"s is that much your era how come you don't know who T bone is? Considering he toured with Dylan in 74 and 75! Or maybe just like today, in the 70's you also stuck to only Led Zeppelin?

  • Make more money? Do you think Robert Plant is short of that?

Check out the rich list from last year, he is now 50 million wealthier than Jimmy Page.

  • Dear Odyssey54 -- the "nobody" playing guitar is T Bone Burnett one of the most famous music producers ever. He doesn't appear to be much of anything but....he produced Tony Bennett, k.d.lang, Counting Crows, etc., nominated for Oscar for Cold Mountain soundtrack -- a very talented and famous musician, producer and song writer. Too much detail to write here -- check him out in Wikipedia. And he's the guy who got Robert Plant and Alison Krauss together for this album!

  • Thanks for the info!

I hope Robert Plant immensely enjoys all the music he puts out for the rest of his awesome life, for being one of the greatest rock musicians of all time!

    :) sssssssssssss!

  • No he didn't. An altogether other guy suggested to them both individually they might get together, they did, we're stuck at some point in as far as the material goes and then they called in T bone! Listen to the interviews!

  • I'm very happy that Robert is still making music 40 years after he made it big. This is a cool song, but it would be perfect if he coujld get Jimmy Page to play guitar instead of that nobody in the background there.

  • I'm a huge Led Zeppelin fan, and I'm glad to see that Robert Plant is still making some fine music, with a fine lady if I may say so! And the video... experimental... cool I guess.

  • There is more to Robert Plant than Led Zeppelin - how many times can a person listen to stairway to heaven!

This is great, the video is good too, as it doesn't distract from the song.

  • woo! amazing duo right there

  • he bailed on the zeppelin tour for this... Bros before hoes robert

  • tool

  • Even if they're not together, they certainly have great chemistry!

  • She rocks my world, man. What a woman!

  • Anybody got an idea of who's the old man playing the guitar on the stage scene?

  • That would be Mr. T-Bone Burnett amigo

  • Actually i believe Allison is dating John Waite...they did a song together....it was a remake of his "missing you"

  • I like this... It sounds good

  • you have GOT to be kidding

    egads

  • ???? This song isn't far removed from the kind of stuff that Plant and his bandmates were into growing up. Shouldn't be such a shock to hear him singing such stuff. Paul McCartney did a whole album of stuff like the style of music he listened to in the '50s.

  • that's all well and good...you are certainly entitled to your opinion...but my personal opinion stands.

    same goes for Sir Paul

  • Haha

  • never thought id see robert in a music video but its still a good song

  • They're not only very talented and hot (yeah, of course Robert isn't as beautiful now as he was in 1973. But he's not looking bad!), but they have some serious chemistry!

  • i think they make a cute couple...

and robert plant sounds the same and allison is just beautiful

  • are they like together?

  • No, I don't think so....there's quite the age difference.

  • im as straight as they come, but id probably take robert over krauss....

its not that shes not hot, but CMON, its robert fucking plant!

  • Wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man!

Wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man!

Wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man!!!!

  • I think the Everly Brothers would approve.

  • Easy listening! Good.

  • They invited a new kind of music GRASSROCK !!! Great song.

  • Alison Krauss looks amazing.

  • i love how robert still sounds the same as he did in the 70's

  • WELLLLLLLLLLL....it' awesome

  • i LOVE it

  • this video is retarded. but the song is wonderful.

  • I think they're great together. I also find it amazing that Robert Plant can look so old and yet so hot at the same time. I saw him in a solo concert a couple of years ago. He was excellent, charming, and the personification of the word Legend.

  • Robert Plant raises the sand from beneath the charred grounds upon which Robert, John, Jimmy and Bonzo went on their seperate ways for eternity, and unearths a masterpiece.

  • Well said!

  • plant is great again! a real master of music, the lady charms too

  • puts me in such a good mood.

  • LMAO!

  • This is a great song written by the Everly Brothers. How odd that it was only covered once before this by the Ventures! It's got a classic rockabilly sound. And that's producer/guitarist T Bone Burnett joining them onstage at 1:24.

  • look at 1:24, its jimmy page lol

  • your joking right... Jimmy Page wouldnt be caught dead with that hair cut. Not Page though

  • nah im kiding, i know thats not page lol

  • k good, Didn't mean to sound harsh but there are some complete idiots out there who would think that.

  • It's not Jimmy Page, you idiot!

  • Nice song, nice collaboration. Alison has finally come out of her shell after all these years. =) And Robert's always been a Legend... the video looks like they had a lot of fun doing this, which makes it an even bigger pleasure to watch. Thanks for the post of this!

  • I love these two together ,and never thought I would.I used to sing to this in the back seat of my dads Ford when the Everly Bros. had a hit with it in the 50's.Still love it today by Krauss & Plant ,glad they won the Grammy, well deserved and T-Bone it goes without saying, what foresight he had putting them together, and his guitar playing is pure genius, sounds a little like Bo Diddley! Thanks nshields for posting this!

  • Great Song!

  • These two are exploading with talent, haven't heard the last of them.

  • great music, crappy video
