Ok when i did it the first time the t-flip it worked and now i did it again underground and checked to see if i made any mistakes and i didnt. The 2 torches closes to the elevator in this video turn off when i press a button

If you want a brake, just do the same but hook the redstone up to the pulley instead of the gearbox.

Instead of the T-Flipflop you can use an xor gate connected to two levers :) heaps less space. good job though :)

To everyone having problems going up, check your inverters. If there's an odd number, you've done it wrong. If there's an even number, re-check your flip flop twice because the wiring is quite complicated and essential.

So if you hit the lever at the top then the one at the bottom, it would stay at the bottom and you would be reduced to a quivering blob of brains flicking the bottom switch as creepers spawn and start saying "That's a very nice mistake you have there. Be a shame if some thing were to... Nevermind. Can we just skip to me blowing you the heck up?"

question, the platforms that make the elevators, is it possible to place other objects on them and have the elevator move them up and down, like placing a chest on an elevator or better yet a mineshaft elevator with minecarft track you wou can lower minecarts.

@DoctorOblivian You cannot place mine tracks at the edges, it will break something. I get around this by wheeling it around my elevator onto a track just off it at the top and having a disconnected piece of track in the middle.

@Skullbrothers The inverters ARE vertical redstone. Having vertical redstone would just make it hell to place properly. You obviously don't do enough redstone wiring to understand inverters or even basic redstone curcuits.

Hey Yamez, if i wanted to do this with 2 floors, how would i? I've experemented and just puttign a button on another floor doesnt seem to work. Would i have to connect the button directly to the t-flipflop? If so, i suppose i'll just use redstone transmitters to get it up so far. connect a detector (facing upwards) with the first gearbox (thats connected with the windmill)

and be sure it can detect rain (test it by dropping something on it)
