Adolfo and Michael were so incredibly talented! I've seen this movie a dozen times, but I never get tired of their poppin' and lockin'! Lucinda however....uh...not quite getting it....
@jrquist404 I used to think and still think that Boogaloo Shrimp was the baddest Popper EVER! Shabadoo was and IS the best Locker ever…even better than his team mate Fred "Rerun" Berry from whats happenin'
Michael Boogalo [Turbo] and his brother, who shared the "Moonwalk " Michael Jackson.! One of my favorites [TURBO] is my favorite of my best one of the best break dancer I am a fan of the two people.! the 2 are amazing
In Detroit thinking about renting a hall and throwing a dayz of wayback jam with old school classics like this with some zapp/roger, tom browne,whodini,heatwave,ojays,tempts,cameo,etc,etc......you get the point.....think it would go over well?
I lost 30 lbs playing this song when I did cardio. When I was a pre-teen in OKC,, this song was my solace. It took me away from all the pain and bore of living in a city that was racist and backwards as hell.
THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST !!!!! FEEL GOOD MUSIC !! AYS OF MY LIFE DA 80s!!!!! its all a b. mess now :( BEST DWHAT HAPPENED TO MUSIC!! NOW ITS ALL PANTS...NO BODY IS ALLOWED TO BE ORIGINAL ?? :(
I'm 15. Took the liberty to watch it last night. Music was something else back then, eh? at 1:08...thats what they repackaged as part of the "Jerk". 20 what...6 years later. Nothing new under the sun. Love this track btw.
This is a time before breaking had power moves and freezes. This was when windmills was called shoulder rolls, and there was a move called skittles who knows what the name is now but this was when I was in 6th grade. Mad old.
Hellz yea!!! This joint takes me back. And the last split second is the begining of "You Might Think" by The Cars so you know this was actually recorded back then.....or at least on a real good retro channel. haha
you could? my eyes are watered now...this was serious shit back in time, this song could make me push a truck, playing this ws like opening popeye's spinach can
at that time Venice was popular for bodybuilders hence it became Muscle Beach...,John claude van damme ,chuck norris and some others would frequent there.
I miss the 80's. As a teen during the 80's, I remember "trying" to breakdance. Every time this video came on MTV, I had to stop what I was doing and watch. They were great times. After eading all the negative comments, I now understand how the people who liked disco felt when we trashed them and I'm sorry. Thanks for posting.
Its a shame the world has come to this , when we were kids we had breaking , hip hop and graffiti, as we got older we had acid house and the rave scene. we had it good , these dumb kids of today need to shown these eras in school along with the summer of love videos to learn how to have FUN!!!!
One of the best films ever made featuring dance or should i say breaking. Loved this film when it first came out and still do. Watch it over and over again and never get tired of the music the happy times the whole 80's thing was far better than the guns drugs and gangster rap of today thats killing to many young people. Why cant music of today be fun and happy like this. Great video thanks for posting it.
Great song, Great Melody (rap songs do not have a melody, you cant whistle or hum the melody of a rap song) The Great music of the 80s was FUN. Made you want to get up and dance. What has it come to?
Yes this brings back so many memories of my little brother break dancing with his friends. We would have break dancing battles, not battle with guns...it was awesome!!!! The 80's was the fun decade, the music, the movies, and the lifestyle...it was about enjoying the moment. These days the music is so polluted and worthless...80's forever!!!
A time when trax were made and not sampled 24/7 like nowadays. I luv this, so underated. "we have waited far too long for this moment to arrive". Quality lyrics
Oh my gosh, I remember this song! I feel so old when I see these 80's videos. I remember being a teenager as if it were yesterday. What the heck happened?-lol.
I see that some of these so-called dance movies of today, still have to return to the art of breakin! It always amazed me to see someone do this style and make it look so cool! The 80's where the jam and the music was on hit too!
para saber que tan buena es esta rola tienen que haber vivido los 80' y el breakdance que es de lo mejor cuando escucho esta rola me hace recordar el colegio y los concursos de baile
this is another one of my favorite songs on the soundtrack, kelly use to dance on solid gold, prior to this movie, shabadoo use to dance on soultrain, prior to this movie, lela roshaun use to be married to shabadoo, shes in the intro of this movie, dancing in a red jacket, behind shabadoo, she was in movie "HARLEM NIGHTS" AKA SUNSHINE,turbo is one of the besst dancers in the movie, alongside poppin taco, you can see poppin taco,in video by klymaxx called,"meeting in the ladies room" hes poppin in the chair
Loved this film and the music when it came out in the 80's. Back then all we did was have dance off's in the street unlike now where the gangs just like killing each other all the time. How things have changed and not for the better i am sorry to say. Great video thanks for posting .
