80s kid here and also grew up as a kid in the early 90s as well! i loved this since i was 4 and was one of my introductions to anime since it is co-made by Rankin-Bass/Topcraft (Studio Ghibli) and Cheetara was the reason i became a furry as she did the same to other 80s kids. Isn't that cool Studio Ghibli co-did this show in the first season?

I got the whole DVD collection not too long ago...so proud. This is probably one of the most legendary intros ever, plus I find Mumm - Ra's entrance yell to be hilarious. Like an old man falling on his kneecap.

I used to love Thundercats. I loved Cheetara and always wanted to be her. She was so pretty.

I remember having the little action dolls and also owning a lot of he-man dolls too. Looking back I think my dad might have wanted me to be a boy....hmmm.

Does anyone remember the thundercat crisps ???? I think they were in the shapes of the characters and you could get stickers and stuff inside them. God I miss being a wee kid, :-)

I can remember watching this in scotland with my big brother when I was about 3. I'm 24 now and it still reminds me of the Saturday mornings when my dad would go to the bakers for the rolls and me and brother would get to get up early and watch cartoons in our pjs. Good memories! :)

I don't know guys, the way the dialogue is given so slow and exaggerated compared to how it should be given today to kids kind of deters me from watching. You know?  Rankin/Bass programs have been known for that sometimes.

I love that I was an early 80's baby. Thundercats were Hardcore and if you didn't have a Thundercats lunchbox you were a big puss. Also, if you didn't have all the Voltron parts you were a seriously deprived child and your friends would pity you. Ahhh the good ol' days...... The attitude in modern kids TV shows has changed so much since then. Here the trend was always "good versus evil" with most of todays shows quite sarcastic and graffitti-like...I bet this contributes to how kids are comminting more crime.
