  • I love when he says, "Destroy them!"

  • As a TOS fan This was the best episode in the Entire series. To classics Constitution and NX battling, no crummy Galaxy class lemons involved. home to me is a Constitution and will always be a \Constitution

  • @a1700zz agreed

  • Archer is far better as an Imperial captain.

  • 2:44,

    Archer looks like hes doomed

  • I'm sure we all was glad to see the TOS Connie rip an NX Class to pieces.

  • @Scioneer Yes we are.

  • These people are incompetent. Why didnt the doctor DESTROY THE PARTS HE REMOVED?

  • We have shields!

    *music stops*

    RAISE THEM!!

    *music starts again*

    Ah, the cheese. :'D

  • why r green women so fucking sexy

  • T'Pol and Hoshi needed a sex scene.

  • @CleanHappyGlock T'poland dorianleakey need a sex scene.

  • Nice. I should have watched that show.

  • God damn that girl in green is hot.

  • I think the way Soval screams just before Defiant destroy's them is just cool.

  • All hail Empress Sato! All hail Empress Sato! All hail Empress Sato!

  • It really sucks to be those guys on the Avenger. "Divert all power to hull plating!". What hull plating? You mean the Swiss cheese that's protecting you from vacuum? Oh, that's not going to work.

  • Damn, this episode made Archer actually likable for a change.

  • DESTROY THEM!

the only time that Archer is cool.

  • Orion chicks=supah hot! :D

(except for the redheaded ones :P)

  • Aw, the Avenger looks fine to me. It might need a little paint and some duck tape but it'll buff out. It'll buff out.

  • "AHH! devert all power to hull plating!! Turn on the Air bags! Prepare the spare tires!"

  • "Target there primary hull" Orion female: "sir?! why not shoot at the bridge it will take less than 5 seconds!"

  • Aliens are traitors of the Empire

  • What kind of idiot says "target the hull" and not "target the weapons/bridge" first on a sitting duck defenseless ship that has tech which can vastly outdo yours. That guy kind of asked for a quick death from the start.

  • The Doctor is out.

  • You know when you're in the mirror universe when you see a Vulcan with a goatee.

  • the best Enterprise episode. Two classics Constitution and NX dooking it out. Hell of a lot better than those fragile Galaxys.

  • @a1700zz fragile? apparently in a universe riddled with the borg, those galaxy ships can survive everything but a shot from another galaxy.

and what is this word, 'dooking' ?

  • 3:28 I love the bit where they scream knowing what`s coming. Hmm, does that make me evil?

  • Soval is HOT! Wish he wasn't such a whiner, but I would still do him. I could make him cry.

  • Awful lot of temporal lagging in this video. I find it odd that a ship almost a century older than the Defiant stood up to all those torpedoes and phaser barrage. One torpedo should have done the job. Even with hull plating, they should have made quick work with the NX. The technology on the NX is quaint compared to Defiant.

  • For the record. If they wanted to destroy the ship they should of teleported some explosives and then have phlox set them up..then just have phlox beam back kind of like the borg eps.

  • @strikemode14 except the borg dont treat the mere presence of an enemy as a threat until someone starts shooting at their men or fucking with their systems

  • Hoshi looks so fuckable

  • A downside to the enterprise uniform. Linda park is very attractive but, is covered up for most of the series. IMHO uncovered she is just as if not more attractive then jolene (tpol).

  • @strikemode14 In a way, it's refreshing to see a a Star Trek gal in a non-catsuit military uniform for once in Star Trek.

  • @strikemode14 You are so correct!

  • Hoshi was frickin awesome in this episode. I wish she was more like this in the real universe (well, maybe not such a bitch but more sure of herself!).

  • @eepruls they make them like that.. b/c it's the opposite of how they are in the "real" universe. Dont' know how they were in TOS.. but in DS9, Voyager (the sorta mirror universe), enterprise.. that's how they are

  • @eepruls Hoshi in the Mirror Universe is living proof that us Sluts RULE! "Im Empress Sato... Prepare for INSTRUCTIONS!!!!

  • @amiarage

She looks hot in that episode....she can give me any instructions she likes....I will obey. :P

  • @eepruls Hoshi in the Mirror Universe is living proof that us Sluts RULE! "Im Empress Sato... Prepare for INSTRUCTIONS!!!!

  • @amiarage and she did become emperres. her name ruled until Hoshi sato III

  • We have shields RAISE THEM! Weapons on line DESTROY THEM! Classic Indeed Mirror Mirror Rules!

  • why they dont made tv series of terran empire

  • You'd need someone to play Emperor Spock.

  • He was screaming at the end, talk about not suppressing emotions. ;)

  • he's gonna die anyway, so what not let loose! lol

  • keep in mind the vulcans were at war for so long with the humans that they hadn't h ad as much time to mediate. Even when it was peaceful they struggled so I can imagine if they are constantly fighting for their lives they wouldn't have had as much time to meditate.

  • DESTOY THEM!!!

  • When will these captains learn that all they have to do is target the bridge when the sheilds are down?

  • that wouldn't be much of a story would it.

    Kirk: Target shields.

    Sulu: Firing, there down.

    Kirk: Target their bridge.

    Sulu: Target locked.

    Kirk: FIRE!

    End of episode. lol

  • when they refer to polarize the hull plating its a kind of primitive shielding system, while not the trek shields we know on fed ships, its more like a structural integrity field that renfrorces the hulls molecular structure making it temporarily tougher and helps disperse incoming energy away from a single point allowing the ship to take more of a beating.

    so bollocks to you

  • pop up the breakers

  • Divert power to hull plating... lmfao.

  • Good ears. ;-)

When I heard it I was thinking: "What the frak? Power to hull plating? I thought h.p. is something physical. Looks like Soval forgot it in the heat of battle."

  • In the Enterprise time period most earth ships didn't have shield. In most of the fight scenes you often hear Reed say "Hull Plating polarized". That's probably what Soval was referring to.

  • See the thing this way: There's the hull plating... and in the "later" ST series, there is the shield... when they redirect power to the hull plating, they're really repowering a sort of shield those hulls have... not the physical hull itself...

  • module? what module, he just took the grate off.

  • yeah, that was a laugh when i first saw it

  • Ok, i'm assuming that the the NX class shown here had upgraded weapons? because even with shields down i don't see how it could've made any significant damage to a Constitution-Class starship.

I never watched Enterprise so i don't know anything about this episode.

  • it has upgraded because its in the teran empire alternate time line where vulcans where enslaved on first contact and there technology taken, greatly increasing technological advancement, also the teran empire operate like the borg and 'assimilate' technology and races for there own needs.

  • Alternate reality yes but i don't think time line though mabey the normal time line is alternate as this may of happened if picard didn't go back in time btw any idea how killing the first contact vulcans led to the vulcans being enslaved ? i mean what did the vulcans not know they'd lost a ship on earth so humans had 100 years to upgrade based on vulcan tech or something like that ?.

  • when the vulcans landed humanity was at war. so cochren, for some reason, shot the vulcans, and his faction salvaged the technology in order to win the war, then he propagated that the vulcans planned to invade earth and consequently led a conquest on vulcan territory using the vulcan ship and a fleet of modified earth ships. once the vulcans where enslaved, and there technology taken a galactic conquest was started and the terran empire went the way of the borg and 'assimilated' all technology

  • it didn't do any damage since the hull was unscratched and everything went back to normal when trip restored power.

  • @ElderScribe yes, they had impulse phasers that can do much more damage

  • The Avenger lasted about 30 seconds with the Defiant's weapons back. That's so amazing of it.

  • more like 5 seconds, since they ceased fire for about 20 more seconds then finished them lol. didnt take very long rofl. Love to see the old constitution class kick some major behind

  • totally, constitution class is the best ship in starfleet. :)

  • Excelsior is far better, and on star trek legacy it can ko a borg cube

  • excelsior is bigger, sleeker, and shinier not better.

  • At 2:45 I think Archer lost hope a bit. What's he doing, holding his fists against his face and rocking back and forth?

  • he was like oh this couldn't come at a better time sort of expression.

  • Doesn't anyone know where the whole episode can be seen?

  • "DESTROY. THEM!"

    Hahaha, this Episode is ace.

  • Amen to that.

  • Archer is nuts :D

  • lol yea :)

  • this is the mirror universe, this has nothing to do with the standard one, future guy only refered to archer in their universe, not the mirror universe

  • I like Star Trek a lot but the acting in this one... bad.

  • Archer was purposefully blowing up the Avenger because a CLONE of Dr. McCoy had control of his mind and was doing this in order to bring the two universes into sync. Give Dr. McCoy's clone credit for masterminding this plot.

  • scott bakula looks like an idiot in any role he plays

  • Quantum Leap was cool, but Enterprise was a mistake!

  • Make the effects less impressive? I wouldnt say that but Id certainly make the tech much less advanced. No transporters, at least none that could pick up living organic matter MAYBE some slow cargo transporters. Security would still have solid projectiles like qs 22nd century machine gun. Nukes instead of Photorps. Basically ENT was "TNG Lite" and gave them all the comforts of TNG save for shields and relpicators

  • I have a question, why would starfleet or the terran empire for that matter recruit female orions when they have hormones that fuck with ur head wouldnt that be kinda hard to work around someone like that? O_o

  • correction on my last post, feremones not hormones

  • Good question. One would think their precense would be somewhat... disruptive. Then again, so would T'pol in that TOS uniform.

  • hahahaha, that was hamazing. ftw.

  • drugs are made to counteract the effect

  • THere's also to possibility of mental conditioning

But Im gonna just chalk it up to bad writing. Berman and Braga have been known to ignore shit they did only a season before. Like when 7 of 9 states one season that she eliminated Chakotay from a list of potential mates, then next season they're an item. Or how Carbon Creek ignored their own continuity in FIRST CONTACT regarding Vulcan's first encounter with humanity.

  • Well that episode was left for the viewers to decide if it was real or just a story. Further more the events in that episode were not known to human history so even if it was real no humans would have known.

  • I guess if we were to have a mirror mirror episode right here and now President bush would be a good man!!!

  • @chelseerox then what about hitler and stalin and kim jong 2 and kim sung two and tony blair suppose they would be good guys right

  • @chelseerox HI ,then what about hitler and stalin and kim jong 2 and kim sung two and tony blair suppose they would be good guys right ? dun mind u rreply thanks

  • i never like mirror mirror episodes ,humans are worse then klingons,we are not barbarians to conquer everything, ,starfleet is what is need to be,not terran empire., live long an prosper,

  • Thats the point of the Mirror universe, star fleet is opposite to the star fleet in 'our' universe. The purpose pf parallels is to offer alternative futures to us. Its up to us which path we take.

  • in DS9 the terran empire doesnt exist so humanity was basicly lead to ruin by pursuing this path, so Starfleet (non mirror) is the best :) woot

  • Actually, the Terran Empire no longer existed because they made reforms to become more civilized. This left them defenseless and allowed the Klingons and Cardassians to take over. In a way, becoming peaceful destroyed us in that universe 0_o

  • U need to pay attention to world history more. We are still barbarians, only now we know the differece. History dude, history. You'll learn more.

  • filthy Vulcon traitors. Terran Empire ftw

  • What you guys are forgetting is that Connies are starfleet flag ships during TOS. So the enterprise crew didn't take just any TOS ship they took starfleet's best in TOS.

  • This two parter was awesome mirror universe, CGI Constitution class with TOS uniforms, and Hoshi... damm was she hot in this episode.

  • Actually TOS ship is about 100 years more advanced than enterprise it from the other universe thats why its more powerful.

  • A TOS ship has never been the most powerful in the galaxy before, lol!

  • should have targeted the bridge instead of the hull.

    *fail*

  • Dr. Phlox is the best, isn't it?

  • It sure am. Especially when he ate that piece of the duotronic module as a dinner appetizer and made that super big smile following by that big old burp

  • Is it me, or is the duotronic module a piece of metallic mesh/grating?

    Bring back TNG...please.

  • Had there been a fifth season to "Enterprise," the mystery of how Dr. "Bones" McCoy got to the Defiant 100 years in the past would've surely been answered. Maybe that's one of the big reasons why all those scientists and astronomers were willing to shell out the bucks to keep "Enterprise" on for another season. Too bad it didn't work.

  • What are you talking about?

  • Only a deceptive cover to prevent alien intruders from figuring out that something really important was behind the "grating." That's why it was "hidden" up there somewhere and not put in engineering. Very smart thinking.

  • Haha, I have the utmost respect for you and your thinking instantly. I am a changed man. Thankyou.

    Mind you, Picard > Archer.

  • To correct you, any captain is better than Archer. Kirk, Picard, Sisko, and Janeway. (Esp Kirk and Picard ^_^)

  • Haha agreed. They did get something right with Archer though - Porthos, I thought his character was awesome.

  • That's all Roddenberry had to work with in 1966. Nothing wrong with keeping with tradition so far as what was available prop-wise during TOS.

  • I always thought the Excelsior class was ugly. Nothing graceful about the design. Scary that Enterprise-B wound up being an Excelsior-class. The class may have been supposedly the replacement for the Enterprise-class command cruiser, but without the new transwarp drive, it's just an oversized battlecruiser.

  • You're right--how the hell did Bones wind up there? And yeah, he could have shoved Chekov out of the chair and no one would have blinked.

  • How did the producers of "Enterprise" manage to get an (unknown) actor who looks like a total duplicate of a young Deforrest Kelley to play the role of the guy "kicked" out of his chair by Archer? It is amazing.

  • I can imagine Archer was pissed thats why he put his head in his hands, he had been betrayed again. Its so hard for a Terran to find good help these days.

More so when you use slave labor for over 200 years.

    Long live the Empire!

  • Archer was temporarily in sleepy land because of his addiction to Xanax. He went to sleep for just a few seconds. Naturally he used his hands as pillows while he took that brief nap. The Defiant was being blasted by those subhuman SOB's, and so Archer appeared to be "rocking" back and forth. But, being the better of the two Captain Archers, he quickly got himself awakened. Xanax couldn't keep the better of the two Archers asleep for long!

  • SO, Why is the bridge of the avenger on fire, where the enterprise was shooting the ass end of it? hell, why is there even fire?

  • Holy Smokes, the other NX's were out fighting the rebels and being blown up by Phlox types and Vulcan assholes that sabotaged everything. Besides, the Defiant was a ship 100 years advanced to the Avenger.

  • um, wow

  • um... because the advanced weapons of DEFIANT (not Enterprise, you idiot)had devestated the rest of Avenger, and the bridge was about to be the last part of the ship to be engulfed. Hence, the fire, Idiot. If your bathroom exploeds, won't your kitchen catch fire, Idiot?

  • you all lept on that fast

  • Firstly, that was the Defiant firing on the Avenger. Secondly, a direct hit on any critical area of a starship is going to result in an overload of shipboard systems; exploding consoles will cause an electrical fire. Third, as long as there is an ample supply of oxygen aboard a starship, fire can break out and even spread. And finally, Avenger had been getting pounded on by the rebels before Defiant showed up to bail their bacon out.

  • let me clarify, yes, my mistake saying enterprise instead of defiant. but my question still stands about the fire. if you look at 2:03, 2:13, 2:17, 2:28, 3:10, 3:13, those are electrical fires and panel overloads. and at 3:15, you see a few small electrical fires. i want to know what is burning on a metal ship that is causing the 5 foot tall flames in scenes 3:29 and on.

  • Good question. Maybe the writers didn't think small fires would make Avenger's eventual demise more interesting, so they made the ones in the foreground bigger.

  • just think if your house was being attacked from the back garden the front of your house is still going to be effected.

  • Did anyone notice that the person pushed out of the chair was a Mirror Universe young Dr. McCoy from TOS? How dare Archer treat McCoy in such a fashion! (Now he could've pushed Chekov out of the way and nobody would've cared.)

  • How did the young Dr McCoy get to the Mirror Universe and also go 100 years back in time? Simple, Mr. Dear Dr. Star Trek Watsons! McCoy hid in the Defiant, wasn't discovered by the Tholians, and cleverly came out of hiding and pretended to be one of Archer's crew! Damned good thinking and a damned good plan on Dr. McCoy's part! You can't keep a good TOD Doctor down!

  • This of course means that 1) the Dr. McCoy who hid in the Defiant was a Mirror Universe Dr. McCoy from the future or 2) our Universe's Dr. McCoy went over to the Mirror Universe during Kirk's adventure with the Tholians, or 3) there was another Dr. McCoy created out by the Tholians through genetic splicing! Holy Smokes!

  • Where?

  • The young Dr. McCoy was the guy that Archer shoved out of the chair. If you must, stop the clip at the moment that Archer's hands are about the connect with the guy's body. Then, look closely as this guy: He is truly a young Dr. McCoy in his appearance in all ways! This is not a mere coincidence nor were the producers screwing with us for no reason. Had there been a fifth season of "Enterprise," this young Dr. McCoy would SURELY have been the show's main topic. Deforrest Kelley rides again!

  • I can't see it well enough.

  • Ok...

So Archer goes from shoving someone out of a chair to save the ship...

To rocking back and forth in a chair with his hands over his face at 2:45 like a scared 6-year old....

Then right back to macho captain a few seconds later with no transition...

  • The mirror Capt. Archer clearly is taking Xanax to calm himself down before he tears someone's head off as he's sitting in the chair. Once it wore off, Archer was back to busting heads again.

  • Macho is right! You can be a lot more macho if the universe doesn't have any stars in it. Examine the clip closely and see: no stars!

  • HE SCARED THE STARS AWAY!!!

    There is only one explanation.

    Captain Archer is...

    Chuck Norris.

  • It is unbelievably satisfying watching the glorious old lady of the original series rolling the wannabe pretend-starship like a fat kid.

  • That guy didn't need to be a chair that could be occupied by the Captain. So, out he went....

  • The guy didn't need to be in that chair anyway. He was occupying a good spot till the Captain got there.

  • I love 2:16 when Capt. Archer pushes the other guy off his chair. LOL

  • To me the only seasons that were good was seasons 3 and 4

  • Like TNG and DP9, Enterprise took a couple of crappy seasons to 'find itself' and achieve good quality. Pity it was canceled just then.

  • Now if season 5, the one that we never saw, had been entirely about the Mirror Universe, this mystery of how a young Dr. McCoy appeared on the Defiant (and got shoved out of his chair by the macho, testosterone-filled, Xanax pill popping Capt. Archer) might have been solved!

  • For some reason I knew Archer would be assassinated in the end.But tt was still a good 2-parter.

  • Jolene in the 60's go-go dress, purrrr.....

  • Bigger numbers?

  • They should have done more of these kind of episodes instead of the "normal" Enterprise episodes as these two were good.

  • i agree. mirror episodes rocks

  • If the first two seasons of "Enterprise" would've had the programs of seasons 3 and 4, it's likely the series would've had the full seven-year run. By including more episodes of the "Mirror Universe" in revamped seasons 3 and 4, this could've been even more likely.

  • Possibly. Couldnt have hurt any at the very least.

But the HUGE problem with the Mirror Universe is ever since DS9, it became a RESET button to kill regular cast member and bring back dead ones with no impact to the show. Enterprise and Voyager got real bad with reset buttons.

  • Don't you love how Star Trek makes these Connections...the Defiant vanishes...we see it here...

    I am amazed

  • Yeah it IS a bit convoluted. But at least we get to see that despite what many ENT fans like to trumpet, is that TOS sets, costumes AND ships CAN look good even with todays filmmaking technology.

You have to admit the Defiant swooping in and kicking ass looked good.

  • The remastered TOS shows this nicely too...

  • this s a grea movie

  • I love doctor Phlox!!!!!!!

  • The U.S.S. Defiant's crew killed itself in the 23rd century near the rift (kirk discovered a dead crew) So when the 22nd centruy defiants found it on the other side of the rift they found a empty ship so it was easy pickings. What I wanted to say was what would've happened if Archer found a 24th century starfleet sovereign class vessel.

  • I meant 22nd century tholians not defiants.

  • I love how Archer is sitting in the Captain's chair, hands balled up on his head, rocking back and forth like a kid throwing a temper-tantrum right before the systems come back online, then he snaps out of it. I almost thought he would be crying! LOL! Then he goes right back to cockiness and "blow them up."

  • Yeah. I mean DMAN, even that dumb twat Janeway never rocked back and forth like that. I think Bakula was trying to aim for mentally disturbed. The bits where regular Archer shows up to "Encourage" Mirror Archer are amusing.

  • LOL The only thing he didn't do was stamp his feet. Although to be fair, when dealing with disobediant technology, sometimes I get kinda like that, hopefully nowhere near as bad...
