ZZTopRockman Elvis certainly had a big crush on Debra during the making of Love Me Tender and for some time after. Plus he asked her to marry him, but I don't think he loved her all his life. He did comment on how much Priscilla looked like Debra when they met a few years later however. With Debra it was unrequited because even though she was a couple of yrs older than Elvis, she wasn't allowed to date except for billionaire Howard Hughes, and those dates were chaperoned!

I think he loved Priscilla, but it was an idealized love. Because she was so young when they met, they didn't see each other for years. Elvis left Germany & the army in 3/60, she visited briefly twice in 62 when she was 17,, and moved to Memphis in 3/63 when she was almost 18. They both had dated others during the 3 years apart, and in my opinion,  Elvis loved the "good girl" he put on a pedestal from afar, and Priscilla loved the famous icon instead of the real person.

Elvis had dated other girls in Germany including his 19 yr. old live-in secretary/girlfriend Elizabeth, had Anita Wood waiting at home who he had given a promise ring, called & wrote (see love letter to Anita) and had her living at Graceland until 8/62 when she left after hearing him trying to decide between Anita & Priscilla. Then a few months after Priscilla moved in and he had made promises to marry her "some day" as condition, Elvis had an affair with & fell in love with Ann Margret.
