  • This is worth checking out:

  • Lovely. And the music is very good. However it is way too loud, it takes over completely, and distracts attention from Jed's words. Jed McKenna should be listened to with complete concentration, or not at all.

  • @bobadillah bullshit

  • i had to cry listening to this. this man has experienced enlightenment so as have i, he describes nothing but the truth

  • Row row row your boat... HAHAHAHA! Jeez, that really hit the spot. I understand what he's trying to say, but it's still a load of mysticism which is not really relevant to cellular life... or well you know, you could kill yourself, be "liberated" from cellular life.

  • music distracts, makes it hard to hear the words

  • little 2 louud musik

  • please. song name. so beautiful.

  • @laprop

the name of the song is "upward over the mountain" the band is iron and wine

  • @AhabCaptn

the song is annoying and distracting. would love to just listen to the narrator recite jeds words with perhaps enya in the background. would this be possible to remove this current song from the video

  • Deeply impressed with this series of videos. Very moving and engaging. Choice of photos absolutely superb and awsome reflecting the depth of what is said. I absolutely adored the music with this particular video.

  • @micridg

thank you so much for your comment

I have one more video to make and all am all done with the Jed Series

  • I like this very much -- too bad the music is too loud -- if/when possible do a remix -- and tone down the music -- which in itself is lovely.

  • Can someone give me some background info on Jed Mckenna? What is his personal belief system? What is the source of his info?

  • @Warners0

Jed is totally private, most likely a made up name

he doesn't seem to have a belief system other then "no belief is true"

  • Not an iota of bs here for sure.

  • mixing is great, leave it alone. IMO

  • i wish you would remix these with the music volume lower and the voice louder. I can barely make out the words with the music volume so high

  • you make a good point, I could have mixed these better, I get that a lot, but the raw audio is now long gone and I just don't have time re-create the entire thing..sorry

  • @AhabCaptn Captain Ahab are you inspired by Moby Dick? Or just so to make a statement? Like to know.

  • I selected AHAB because the book Moby Dick is a about one mans search to be true - simple as that

  • Thanks for making this. I find myself enyoing your tribute.

  • It's like I was left at the playground, alone, doesn't anyone want to play?

  • Turn the music down a little bit...it drowns out some of the words.

  • The opportunity to break with the oneness to experience duality is the gift, in my opinion. Of course, the very definition of duality requires bullshit to exist. So once you take the first step you can't stop; you "wake up" (realize truth) in the "dream" (life) before you actually wake up (die). Crazy philosophy. But I like it.

  • But who and what is that "you" refer to my friend?

  • goodfuckingdamn that was awesome!

    reallyreallyreallyreally excellent use of images!

    and great choice of excerpts.

is this from the audio bpook version? is that jed's voice?

  • Well done! Thanks for putting this together. Dig on the Iron and Wine.

  • thanks!

  • Beautifully done, very moving, captures Mckenna's spirit wonderfully for me. Thank you.

  • thank you !

  • "no one else is necessary to you're success"

because there is no success because there is no you.

this is potential extraordinarily powerful words, or if misinterpreted, very dangerous...

  • What's the correct interpretation? I'm assuming by "no you" he doesn't mean that I don't exist physically. Very obviously, I am a physical being. By "you", I think he means my ego, and upon transcending beyond my ego I will have found truth.

I don't see how that's possible. The ego can't be escaped, and all of those that say they have are delusional. First off, to feel as though you have something to say to people is a symptom of the ego, which makes McKenna the slightest bit egotistical.

  • I agree that ego cannot be escaped. I am however convinced that we can be disabused of our identification with it. And that opens a whole new set of doors...

  • ...through which ego cannot pass. But 'you' can. Ask your mind and you will be told this is bullshit. Nevertheless, it exists and with absolutely no agenda.

  • What if ego was deliberately misinterpreted? What if ego is not allowed to ask why or why not or what if what might be possible? How is it ego came to be known as something horrible? Conceited or such nonsense? Ego has been taught to look out at the world rather than to see what is within. Beauty is within my friend. How many of us have failed to silently repeat to oneself "I Love myself"? Ego falls then to blame rather than to be nurtured by self. Ego as in pine cone or in pineal gland?

  • "I don't see how that's possible. The ego can't be escaped, and all of those that say they have are delusional."

Eat a quarter oz. of cubensis and get back to me.

  • True, that is why we must fight everyday to reach this level of conciousness and become perfect, as in none egoistic.

  • Wonderful and deadly.
