2005 and 2006 had fantastic songs, even 2007 had some. They should use all them for the next WWE Game. It should have GM Mode again and there should be new match types like I Quit also all the old types of matches who have been deleted should be back. Moreover we need the fantastic story mode back, Road To Wrestlemania is nothing against the old mode...

Winter for me. I got it after it came out in November 2004, just after my 12th Birthday.

I played it, and the older WWE games alot for like four months straight. I liked the game, but the Season Mode was a major dissapointment, not to mention Backstage really sucked compared to Here Comes The Pain

and Shut Your Mouth.

I went off pro wrestling sometime during August 2005, I never ended up getting SvR '06.

Every now and again, though, I get back into wrestling (WWE and TNA).

The Season Mode of SvR wasn't as good as the previous two SmackDown! games, just not as much freedom in it. WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It also had an awful Season Mode, but at least there was more freedom with the champions. The gameplay in that game was so clunky though.

Correct. The WWF Attitude Era ('97-'02) was the result of competition with WCW, and ECW.

TNA is growing steadily, they still need to fix things and start doing more. They should start touring more around the USA and Canada, and then come to Europe and Australia etc etc. to grow a bigger fanbase.

I'd like to see WWE to re-invent itself, start aiming towards 18+ rather than 5+ again, and start pushing more, other guys, rather than the same old Cena-Orton-Batista.

Foley is now on TNA, tho.

They're both making millions more by acting, I doubt they'll come back full-time. They could make something similar to the attitude era, if they push all their current talent, and try keeping it fresh.

The problem is, after they killed their competition, they went back to marketing for little kids like they did in the 80s and early 90s

Hence less violence, less sexual storylines and so on.

They could still have the attitude/mature themes. But call itself something completely different, they would also change the WWE logo to something else. Think of the old transition to the original Attitude Era.

I really doubt it'll happen anytime soon, though. WWE makes a shit load of money for how they are, now. Plus they have no threats, yet. (TNA isn't big enough yet, and probably won't be for a while)

I wasn't around for the attitude era, and I never liked pro wrestling untill late 2005, a bit before summerslam whichever 2 paper views came before it, but my dad and uncle watched it and damn, its way too different and boring now. TNA=6/10

UFC= 7/10

They also have to keep in mind the NHL, NFL,NBA and NBL. UFC also poses a threat, Vince just doesn't see it yet.
