ak's can be just as accurate as an ar. bore sighters help alot. you have to sight them for yourself just as an ar. i also own both rifles and can shoot either with accuratecy. all that bs about less accurate is jackass who cant hit the side of a barn standing two feet from one.
@1975acidburn The stock works great, it fire well folder or not. The collapse feature makes it so whether you have long or short arms you can hold the rifle conveniently. It locks in place so once it is positioned to you liking it stays that way.
You're gonna find that thing very front heavy. I know because I had the same set up on my Yugoslavian. I used it in some training and decided to change things completely. I have a vid of the stock i put on if if you wanna check it out. I also riveted a steel rail to the side of my weapon. Its not on that vid but will be on the next one.
@CavemanCoochie that rail is plastic and wont hold a zero i know because i have that kit on my ak personally id just rock iron sights i had a red dot reflex sight on my ak as well but thought about it i got an ak because i can get one were ever i am in the world so those aks wont have a optic so i took it off

@voorhes3 You have good point but in a home invasion situation the distance shooting would make some of the worst guns accurate and the AK is a very accurate gun just not at extreme distances ( but I am not a sniper)
Again for home defense purposes, the AK design makes is shoot quieter than say an AR-15 or M16.

A shotgun is the PRIME home defense weapon , coupled with " self defense " loads that will NOT over penetrate . You are responsible for every round you fire. If you kill an innocent bystander due to over penetration its still murder.

Nice gun dude, I love the AK because it is legendary, always works and out shoots guns 10 times as expensive, the problem is it is ass ugly, clumsy and not set up for tactical use and is not accessory friendly, so this solves those issues, I would have this over an ar15 any day

I really like your AK project. Are you going to add a muzzle break/flashhider at some point down the road? Other than that, I would say pretty much what I would want. Now you just need a 5.11 vest with about 10 magazine pouches. Have a good one.

@emrguns1 I intend to get a muzzle break down the road; there is the part that needs to be sawed off first before that can be installed and i have just been lazy (actually I don't have the tools). I do have a tactical vest; lol, can hold lots of AK mags

Do you notice any deformation on your softpoints when the bolt drops?
My buddys AK(pos) would lob off the whole thing, ended up with a mag full of little lead points.
Made a nice Maraca, but not much else.
I'm sure it was his junk AK, or mayhap the cheap hi-cap mag we used.
