The menu wheal on my chacolate lg3 suddenly stopped working. The right side of the wheal only works. None of the other buttons work though. Any suggestions on how I could fix it?
this phone is such a b*tch to fix, but since Verizon WOULDN'T fix it, your video was the next best thing! THANKS SOO MUCH!!! It worked and I even forgot to put one of the screws back in and it was loose when the keyboard slid, so i watched it again to disassemble it and put the screw back lol! You rock!! Thanks! PS- this is the BEST video and I link it when people have Chocolate Phone issues :)
thanks for posting made the job of changing the flex cable much easier! My Daughter says thank you, she got her phone back! FYI This fixed the white screen of death, and non functioning keys as well! Thanks again!
this is great. do you think you could maybe do a video focusing on the battery charger port area? mine got pushed in so it would be great to see how you could fix that. i tried taking apart mine yesterday but was stuck at the bottom.
I was gonna attempt this to try to get a replacement ear speaker. This is a really good tutorial, dude! Sucks you cut yourself, lol. Gotta be careful. Thanks for making this, it's super informative.
I fiund the video to be very instructive, but the reason for my disassembling was to find out why it was not charging, After I opened it, found the socket or receptacle to be loose, the qustion is what kind of soldering gun can I use to reattach it and how much heat can the part sustain without damaging to board?
This is a good guide, but, please don't "rock" the ribbon loose. There are brown plastic clips at each end of the ribbon that just flip up. I believe you can even see when the ribbon "rocks" free that the clip actually pops up.
Unless you don't care about scratching the face, place a cloth or something soft under the phone. Knives aren't a good suggestion, but to each his own....ouch!!
i just slammed mine on the ground and it came apart pretty easily. ha. no seiously...im impressed. i dont think i have the finesse to do that. did you have to take it apart for a reason or just to do it?

How do you reconnect the rear speaker wire (little red wire) when you are reassembling?

I don't suppose you know how to un-brick these phones? Do they have some kind of hard-reset feature?
