this is one of my fav liszt piano cycles, along with Anness de Pelerinnage...so thought provoking indeed.

This is an old recording, so the sound is not that good. Yet, Brendel brings out the best in Franz Liszt. He's a monumental pianist and plays Liszt as well as he plays Beethoven.

recenetly, I had been A. Brendel'a resital in Brusels at BOZAR. He was amazing!!! Barovooo!..
