  • @JediMasterRadek Your argument would work if attraction was based on logic. It is based completely on emotion and not logic. I am much more confident in my life and not ajerk. please read jarod diamonds books, "The third chimpanzee" or "why is sex fun?", for more on how attraction works.

  • Quite an interesting topic.

I would like to know more about how such things work with lesbian and gay couples though.

I know that my friend that I'm intimate with from time-to-time seems to enjoy it more when I'm confident and dominate, as do I. I am transgender, but I take anti-androgens that block the vast majority of testosterone that my body makes. So I wonder how that works between lesbians, etc. Then again, it could be a bad example because we're not in love with each other as such.

  • Hillarious

  • You still didnt prove if confidence attract women or not.

  • @JediMasterRadek I have discussed attraction in prior videos. There are many components that go into it. Some involve looks and childhood interactions with people, Some involve intelligence and common interest or sense of humor. Sometimes money and social status has an effect. Experience with the opposite sex and ability to read social nuance is also important. They have done scientific studies on attraction. One showed pictures of men, Women were most attracted to men who looked confident

  • @anubis2814 Could You share with me a title of that paper? Is it this experiment where they have pictures of sad, happy, neutral, confident mens? Well it;s shitty experiment, lokk on a sample photos they gave for each category. They werent cgi images they were real photos like from fb, and those which look liek they were takes from some shitty promo campaign. Also confident photos showed the whole body of mens, where others dont,

  • @JediMasterRadek ....and most of them were of cheerful sportsmen surroneded with clapping and vivating audience. So the resultss were skewed. Also there was an experiment with women dressed diferently, some in premium clothers some as vagabounds. Photos were takes of only their faces. And those with better clothers scored highter. So women also need to be confident? No. I think that being calm and friendly and cool is misinterpreted as confidence

  • @JediMasterRadek I actually did not research that paper in detail but I have heard of several studies on NPR. What I'm really confused about is your obsession with this topic. Do you really think that given the choice between a guy who appears confident and a guy who doesn't, and they both have other similar criteria she'll go for the guy without any confidence? Just saying, you are really obsessed with this issue.

  • @anubis2814

I just think that the world confidence is misusied, and I think yes she would go for less confident guy

  • @JediMasterRadek What would attract her to go for the less confident guy? Do you see confidence as being the same a jerk?

  • @anubis2814 Sorry that I didnt reply to You earlier. I think that in long perspective, yes. The though that I am capable of doing something based only on thinking that I am somehow superior to others or good because I am good means in long run a jerk.Any analizastion of future possibilities should be back up only on raw data, laws os possibilities and realistic examination of one skills, not a feeling of selfworthiness.

  • Interesting, now I know why whenever I fell in love, I almost had 0 sexdrive and needed only hugging for a long while ^^

  • Love: a neuro-chemical con job.

  • You seem to be a determinist, and want to eliminate personal responsibility for one's actions by appeal to hormones. I think the picture is a bit more complex than what you want to make it....

  • @destronia123

Uh, speaking frankly one cannot claim that we have total free will as long as such physical phenomenon can influence behavior. Also simply describing how reality works doesn't mean that it eliminates personal responsibility, while science can inform us of how things are, it doesn't tell us how to live

  • @destronia123 The term would be more compatablist, however most neurologist believe that while we don't have free will, to make us do stuff, we do have free wont, or the ability to stop ourselves. We really are just an enlarged neo-cortex driving around a barely controllable monkey, it only seems like we have more control than we do.

  • Does Testosterone have anything to do with hair ?

  • @k9a2g6 I've hear some studies but its been a while, I don't remember.

  • This has been a very informative pair of videos. Thanks for putting them together. Now I know what the correlation is between my socially awkward nerdishness in high school and college, and my good health and (relatively) young appearance now that I have passed 50.

  • WOW

  • I like the cut of your jib

  • if i cut my balls off, would I increase my lifespan? ._.

  • @unassumption Not if you don't apply proper first aid immediately following.

  • @unassumption

No. In-depth studies on men with low testosterone were slow coming around, but it's been getting more attention as of late, since it was discovered that low T is frighteningly common and directly linked to premature death. As a result of bilateral varicocele (both severe), I have freakishly low testosterone. The result was massive loss of muscule mass, weight gain, sexual dysfunction, clinically "major" depression, and severe, chronic pain of the joints. T therapy has helped a LOT

  • @CaptainSmallFoot muscle*

  • @CaptainSmallFoot Exactly, low muscle mass, especially smooth muscles are the cause of many geriatric diseases. Women have hormones to stabilize that (well until menopause when their hormones start fluctuating and they get low bone density). Humans are just a hormonal mess, especially when we get older.

  • That video was great!

  • I don't understand, I believe you said that high levels of testosterone decrease longevity, however a lot of activities that increase longevity such as exercise, reducing stress, getting enough sleep and sleeping well increase testosterone levels.

  • @Xavier7564 Its a double edged sword, and yes its a bit confusing. Its worse for you not to do the things that give you testosterone than to have testosterone. It does however repress the immune system. Its not the best design but its another sign that we weren't designed intelligently.

  • i think one of the squirrels passed gas at 2:35...hehehe:)

  • That seemed really comprehensive. Thanks.
