video capture is low quality and the web browser should have had landscape mode to fully enjoy the Wi Fi. pus i had to convert video to 3gp. to import and play,
but hopefully motorola may finally create a badass touch phone soon like a mini rockr e8 style or somethin ..huh?
Highly recommend this phone, but I am upset that an expensive phone has such a lousy fitting battery cover plate. It does not fit snugly and you can literally see the battery if you look close. When I went to take it back T-Mobile guy says there all like that which just pissed me off more. I don't like to pay a high price for a generally extremely well built phone and then they drop the ball with a lousy fitting battery cover. I've looked at many pictures and all the phones have this big gap.
wow this is really fast! especially compared to my phone (moto krzr k1)! moto's in the past have had a problem with there slow user interfaces, but thigs are changing! HOORAY!
Since your the only one on youtube with a t-mobile branded zn5, could you tell me if they locked the ability to install & use third-party applications (operamini, google maps, yahoo go)?
This is really good, I love it. I think this might be the phone i'll pick up. November 3rd it releases. I'm deciding between this one, and the Samsung Behold
The biggest trade off for me is whether to go with the ZN5's long battery life or Behold's touch-screen (I want both). ZN5 has 9.56 hours of Talk time and 579 hours of Stand-by time!!! The Behold only has 3 hours of Talk time and 250 hours of Stand-by time. Also, I played around with the Rokr's keypad when it came out and it wasn't the best for texting. I hear they improved it for the ZN5 but I didnt have a chance to play with it yet. Let me know if you hear anything, I'll do the same.
Well actually you might wanna update your stats, lol. Behold and Zine both have 5 hours, check Tmonews (Samsung Behold), and T-Mobile's website (for the Zine zn5). And umm... I kind of want it more so for the camera, and it's been stated the Zine will be better for that use, but, a touchscreen would be nice, and i'd be getting 3G, so idk, and yeah, i'll let you know, stuff, i'll probably check out the zine zn5 this week
Hmmm, I checked several sites and they both stated 9hrs. I suspected it was kind of too much, so you're probably right. Any idea if they will require a data plan for the Behold like with the G1?
I've been a faithful fan of Motorola but lately they have been slacking, and the OSs on their phones suck. In the vids posted the ZN5 actually works pretty fast, but I'll have to check it out myself.
Naw, it's 5 hours man, seriously. But, umm If you check Tmonews site, I believe their will be an optional data plan for the behold that will be $20 for 100MB of data and unlimited messaging, or something like that
Any news? I went to a few tmobile spots to check out the ZN5 but none of them had it and said only some stores in the country got it. Like a limited release or something, i never heard anything like that before.
i think u should go with the samsung because its got ALOT of REALLY cool features on it and yea the batteery is really low but if u charge it every night it wont be a problem unless u browse the web alot on ur phone!
The battery isn't that low, is it? I figured I've had motorola phones since i got my first cellphone in 2000 and its time to try something new. I've been wanting the "touch screen" phone since the first iphone came out and that tmobile wing but i hated the windows mobile interface.
what firmware is this?

jake4671620 2 years ago
LOL...what you feel is a little vibration that makes you think you realy press on a classic key.
Trust me it is touch sensitive keypad, there are no mecanic key on ZN5. To press a button you have to touch it a little bit hard ...
A0TP 2 years ago
A0TP is right theres a vibration that makes it feel like a real button.
