Protomotive 993 turbo muffler and cat bypasses

How did you override the after Cat lamba censer from not sensing the Cat working and putting on the engine light.and making the ECU go into safe mode. I ask because I have the same car & want to make the same mods but I'm being told putting these De-Cat pipes on will create these problems ?

This was the sign for an unlocked car, if you sit 5 minutes in this car without starting the engine, you must lock the car and after this you have to unlock the car, i know this sounds strange, but i know it from my 993 carrera S...its very difficult to get a sound like this in a Turbo and it sound very good!!!!!

you are right, the new 911 it's amazing it's definitely the best 911 so far, but the 993 turbo series its absolut beautifull (in my opinion) but loses with the 996 and the brand new 997 turbo in mecanic, and the new gt2, like janice of Friends say: oh my god.. take care...

Do the Exhaust manifolds (headers) still have to be removed in order to replace the plugs?? The 962 had this problem and then the exhaust studs would snap off in the head rendering it a real headache to replace the plugs..

Yes. The air-cooled combustion chambers aren't efficient enough to use a single plug and create a complete burn.

Not a knock to the air-cooled engines, because they are my favorite, but Porsche really did some great things with that old technology, and it's amazing they made it last as long as they did.

If it is a turbo then it should only need 6 plugs. The carrera needs 12.

I think the 997 looks okay, but the 996 kind of looks... I don't know, cheap, in comparison to the 993 and 997. But what really bugs me about the newer cars is the weight they've put on.

yeah I agree, but the weight is because want more luxury, there is more equipment added to the cars, and there is more chasis rigidity and safety restraint devices added to all these new cars that are comming out, people whine way too much about sports cars being not luxury enough or with interiors that have lots of noice. thats why the 993 is my fav gen of all 911's
