If you stick them in the freezer for 20 minutes it will put them into a dormant state & You can puck them up with your bare hand. Just stuns them a bit.

Dugeness crabs aren't that agressive it's only if you aggrovate it enough they''ll start getting angry and be defensive going to a corner and reaching at you with their claws. For these guys all you gotta do is reach behind the back and hold them, they won't be able to pinch you.

a crayfish took a chunk of the skin from my finger in grade school, our school gave us an egg and we raised them. you can pick up larger crustaceans but have to be clear of the pincers, so like on the very back
