What a beautiful culture...A student and her mother introduced me to Rabbi Schlomo a few years ago. It has been a long while since I have listened to him, but this is still as beautiful as the very first time I heard it. Thank you Debbie and Sonia :)

Every time Reb Shlomo sang, he touched the soul of everyone who could hear him. I will never forget the time he sang in my home town and I took him to each venue he sang in and I got to spend some quailty time alone with him!! What a gift from HASHEM Reb Shlomo was!! We are so fortunate to be able to recapture the feelings Reb Shlomo instilled in all of us!

No one comes close!! Maybe other than Melech David, but I never heard him. Shlomo brings forth the melodies of David. I love this post, and I listen to ithen I need inspiration. He never fails to deliver!

And as a challenge to my comment below, then tell me which Jewish singer has even close to the same fame?? throughout the whole world, Jew and non-Jew alike. Tell me who...Ofrah Haza, Chana Senesh, Meir Ariel, who? And R' Shlomo did it with nothing other than the love in his heart and unfanciful simple guitars.

This is why the Ribono Shel Olam spread R'Shlomo's fame over the whole world, literally. He is our Jewish Che Guevara. He transcended all boundaries. Why? why was he zoche (merited) to this? Because he sang to all audiences. He sang when he was on his own in the dark. He carried the pain of the Jewish people on his shoulders. He spread love to anyone of any faith. Men like this gain world fame.
